3 months passed since his win at Elderion Field, and he was the newest national champion. Ben was all suited up in a uniform, it wasn't anything fancy, black trousers, a white button up, a black tie and a grey cardigan.
It was a dream come true for Ben Voll. The school was filled with many legendary teachers, giving rise to many hall-of-fame heroes. He was going to be next. However, Voll had seen the success and checked nothing else.
It had produced many legendary heroes back in the day, but today, it is a shell of its former self. 13 years later, not a single mage of notice had given rise, a one-off hero but nothing special. Voll then stopped. Despite this never having been a girls' school, he was shocked.
There were too many girls for it to be a coincidence. Voll looked around, and yes, they were cute, but it wasn't his priority. Sure, he could see himself getting down to Honey's, but he needed to cement himself as a powerful man.
...
A couple of days earlier, Voll was in front of Midgar's dorms, "So you want students to live onsite? Why?" Ben asked the principal as he decided to show the national champion around.
"We find living onsite helps students form bonds quicker than those who live offsite. I'm sure you understand Mr Voll." Ben nodded as he brought his two large suitcases with him to his dorm room 055.
"How many students are you expecting this year." The principal, without missing a beat, responded, "15,000 students. 7500 lower-class and 7500 upper-class. However, the other school for the upper class is over 12 miles away, so you won't ever meet them."
...
He started the long walk. The school had many cages and a specialised stadium that had over 10,000 seats. Voll saw fields for sports and the small dorm town. Ben sighed.
