In Howlsburg, a pack of werewolves was roaming the streets. While wandering the streets, a boy related to them followed them and used a ring with a glowing diamond to find them. The ring wasn't glowing then, but it lit up as bright as the moon when he was close to his family. The boy said, "They're close." The boy used a pair of binoculars and saw the werewolf pack trying to slow down a blimp that was speeding out of control. One werewolf grabbed one of the blimp's ropes with her mouth and stopped the blimp. Then three werewolves jumped aboard and got all the people inside the blimp out of the blimp. Then they got the people off the blimp and put them on a roof while the werewolf holding onto the blimp held onto the rope. Another werewolf then popped the blimp with his claws, and it deflated. Then the werewolf holding on let go, and the blimp fell to the ground deflated.
After saving the people on the blimp, their leader, Rodney, found his 10-year-old son, Randy, who was 100% human. Rodney asked, "Randy? What are you doing here? Why aren't you at home in bed?" Randy said, "I may not be a wolf yet. But I'm still a night person and love watching you guys in action." Randy's Uncle Max asked, "How did you find us?" Randy said, "With my hunting extincts?" Then, the ring he had fell out of his pocket and glowed. Julien, one of the werewolves. said, "The moonstone ring." Rodney picked the ring up and said, "So this is how you tracked us."Randy said, "Well, yeah." Randy's Uncle Max said, "You idiot. If the moonstone falls into the wrong hands, it can be used against us." Randy said, "Relax, Uncle Max." Randy put the ring on, and it glowed as werewolves surrounded him. Randy said, "As long as I keep the ring on my finger, it won't fall into anyone's hands except mine." Rodney said, "I'll take it and Randy home."On their way home, Rodney took a detour to Werewolf Rock with Randy on his back. Randy then got down and cuddled his dad. Randy said, "Werewolf Rock. I love you, Dad." Rodney said, "I love you too, son." On their way there, Rodney tripped and dropped Randy into the road. Then, a man in a car almost hit him, but he quickly stopped when he saw Randy on the road. Then his ring glowed, and his dad saved him from being run over. Hunter, the man in the car, saw Randy's dad save him and went after him because he thought Randy was in danger. When they reached the top of Werewolf Rock, Randy and his dad sat on the cliffside and looked at the full moon. Randy held his ring up to the moon and saw the ring's glow was the same as the glow of the moon. Randy said, "I'm sorry I stole the moonstone from your room, but I want to be a wolf like you." Rodney said, "Randy, you're 10. You have to wait until you're 13 to get your powers. And once you do, the moon changes you into the wolf it thinks you should be." Randy said, "I can't wait. I bet I'll be as big as you when I change for the first time." Rodney grabbed Randy, hit him, and said, "Don't push it." Hunter then showed up and said, "Little boy, where are you?"When Hunter found Randy, Hunter was relieved. Hunter said, "Little boy, there you are. What happened to the...?" Hunter saw a wolf's paw on the side of the rock. Then he looked up and saw Randy's dad in his werewolf form smiling at him. Hunter then screamed in fear and shouted, "Werewolf!" Hunter was so scared that he backed away and headed for the cliff without knowing it. Rodney said, "Get away from the edge." Rodney tried to warn Hunter, but Hunter didn't speak werewolf. Hunter then fell off the edge screaming, and Rodney saved him. Rodney said, "Randy, he doesn't understand me. Tell him I'm trying to help him." Randy said, "Sir, he's trying to help you." Hunter climbed back up to the top e edge while Rodney fell off the side. Randy shouted, "DAD!" Randy's Uncle Max saw what happened and grabbed Randy with his mouth. Once he did, Randy dropped the moonstone ring, and Hunter picked it up. Hunter said, "No. Leave the boy alone." Hunter held the ring up to Randy's Uncle Max, and it glowed as brightly as the moon. Then, the light dimmed when Max left and took Randy with him.Once Max and Randy got home, they broke the news to the werewolf pack, and the pack searched for him. When they returned, the werewolves put a double picture frame of Rodney in human and werewolf form on a table with gifts. Randy cried, saying, "No, don't give up on him. What if he's still out there?" Randy's mom, Anna, said, "I'm sorry, Randy. We've looked everywhere. He's gone." Randy said, "No." Randy then ran out of the room crying. Anna said, "Randy." Randy ran up to his room and slammed his door shut. Then he laid on his bed and said, "They've looked everywhere but haven't found him. What if they just haven't looked in the right place or have asked the right questions." Anna then scratched Randy's door since she, too, was in werewolf form. Anna said, "Randy, open the door."Randy opened the door to let his mom in and then sat by the window, looking out it, hoping his father was still alive. Anna said, "Randy, I'm sorry. You can wait for him all you want; he's not coming home." Randy said, "I thought mothers were supposed to make you feel better when you're depressed." Mrs. Wolf said, "That's what I'm trying to do." Randy said, "Well, you guys did never find him. So what proof do you have that he's gone?" Mrs. Wolf stated, "Even if we kept up the search, I don't think we could find anything." Randy said, "Maybe we can't. But the moonstone can." Randy reached in his pocket for the moonstone, but it wasn't there. Randy said, "Oh, no. The moonstone ring. It's gone. I must have dropped it when Uncle Max grabbed me. And I bet that man who almost ran me over now has it." Mrs. Wolf said, "No problem. We'll find this man and get it back. I'll tell the pack, and you'll get in bed." Randy said, "Yes, mam." Randy then got in bed and went to sleep while the werewolves ran out of their house and went to look for the man who had their moonstone ring. When they left, Randy looked out his window and saw his family leaving to get the ring while he went to bed.
