Standing before them was a luxurious and elegant woman, likely in her early twenties. She possessed a tall, graceful figure, clad in a dark green gown, with a white fur coat draped over her shoulders. Her strikingly beautiful face carried an almost imperceptible air of superiority, as though she naturally stood above others.
This was Blizzard of Hell, the top-ranked B-Class hero. Renowned for her beauty, she actively sought out B-Class heroes she deemed worthy, inviting them to join the Blizzard Group—a team she had formed, akin to an Avengers-like alliance.
However, her invitations often felt more like coercion. Those who refused or resisted would find themselves facing her two powerful subordinates, who would ensure they were no longer able to carry out heroic duties. Blizzard was a figure who straddled the line between heroism and villainy.
As Blizzard approached, Flashy Flash stepped back without saying a word.
Although he was an S-Class hero, ranked 13th, Blizzard's older sister, Tornado, was the 2nd-ranked S-Class hero.
Blizzard herself, though currently the top B-Class hero, had long been qualified to ascend to A-Class, and likely would not rank low there. Most heroes extended her respect, if only for her sister's sake.
"Hey, Blizzard, recruiting again, are you? Let me tell you—this guy is off-limits."
Saitama stepped forward to block Blizzard's gaze from Han Yu. Blizzard had previously tried to recruit Saitama, and it had taken considerable effort to refuse her. Now, she seemed to have shifted her attention to Han Yu.
Blizzard smiled faintly, refraining from arguing with Saitama. Instead, she turned to her subordinate. "Mountain Ape, organize a team to rescue the injured civilians and get them to the hospital."
"Yes!"
The tall man addressed as Mountain Ape immediately made a call, summoning members of the Blizzard Group to handle the aftermath.
"Where are you headed? Mind if I join you?"
Blizzard clasped her hands behind her back, a gesture that further accentuated her already captivating figure. She believed this move, paired with her charm, would make her impossible to refuse.
To her surprise, Han Yu's clear and composed gaze remained unchanged. It was rare for a man facing her to maintain such pure eyes. Most would steal covert, lustful glances, something Blizzard had long grown accustomed to. Han Yu's lack of reaction piqued her curiosity.
A man capable of ignoring her overtures was a rarity. So far, she had encountered only two: the bald man beside her, Saitama, and now Han Yu. Her interest in him only grew.
"We're just wandering around. You don't need to follow us," Han Yu said with a polite smile. While Blizzard's beauty and allure were undeniable, Han Yu was no naive boy dazzled by appearances. His respectful smile conveyed courtesy, but nothing more.
"Do you even know who she is?" said a long-haired man standing beside Blizzard. "She's Blizzard, the number-one B-Class hero! Show some respect!"
The speaker, known as Eyelashes, was the second-ranked B-Class hero. His weapon of choice was an eyelash curler.
"Oh? Number one in B-Class? Impressive?" Han Yu said with a slight tilt of his head, spreading his hands dismissively.
Blizzard, who had been focused on Han Yu, suddenly noticed something behind him. Standing there were two S-Class heroes.
"Genos and King?!"
The presence of two S-Class heroes was formidable enough, but Blizzard also knew Saitama, though officially listed as a B-Class hero, had the strength to not only join the S-Class but potentially reach the very top.
With two S-Class heroes and a hidden S-Class contender flanking Han Yu, he exuded an imposing aura. It was as if three ferocious dragons loomed behind him, their predatory gazes locked on an enemy, ready to strike at any moment.
Looking at Blizzard's slightly stunned expression, Han Yu shrugged and said to Saitama, "Let's go. Didn't we agree to have dinner at your place tonight?"
"Alright, let's go. With Genos around, he can foot the bill," Saitama said nonchalantly.
Genos showed no signs of displeasure. In his eyes, anything his teacher did was correct, including making him pay for dinner—it was perfectly normal.
Watching Han Yu and his group leave with laughter and chatter, Blizzard stomped her foot angrily. Inwardly, she fumed, "Alright, Saitama, you might have skills, but I won't give up. You must join my Blizzard Group! And as for that guy, Han Yu, neither of you are getting away!"
What she didn't know, however, was that Han Yu wasn't even from this world. No matter how capable she was, she couldn't cross dimensions to find him.
That Evening
"Even I'm here. I feel a bit awkward since this was clearly meant to be a gathering for the three of you," King said, feeling slightly out of place. This was his first meeting with Han Yu, and they didn't have any prior relationship. Han Yu was a mutual acquaintance of Saitama and Genos, making King feel like an unnecessary addition.
"It's no big deal. The more, the merrier," Han Yu said with a smile. As the guest, his words carried weight, and King felt reassured enough to stay.
Saitama, with his usual aloofness, didn't react much. Social interactions weren't his forte. King, on the other hand, was more attuned to such nuances. Since Han Yu expressed no objection, he decided to stay.
"Then... let me help out too!" King said as he quickly stood up and headed to the kitchen. Before anyone could reply, he had already picked up a peeler and started peeling a potato.
At this point, saying something like "You can just sit and wait" or "We'll handle it ourselves" would only serve to isolate King, dividing the group into Saitama, Genos, and Han Yu on one side and King on the other. That wouldn't foster a good atmosphere.
Since King offered to help, no one objected. They were all friends, and preparing dinner together added to the fun and camaraderie, bringing them closer as a group.
The group began to prepare dinner in a lighthearted and cheerful manner. Even the preparation process turned out to be one of the evening's highlights.
Meanwhile, in the Marvel Universe
In the outskirts of Green County lay an old, slightly worn manor—the ancestral home of the Charles family.
Charles had initially considered buying a new estate, but he found that large, modern properties often involved dealing with smooth-talking salespeople who were nothing but sly foxes. Moreover, he couldn't reveal the true purpose of the academy to outsiders.
To the outside world, Charles was just an unremarkable genius. Suddenly purchasing a large castle might raise suspicions. If someone sneaked in and discovered something they shouldn't, it could jeopardize the safety of the mutant academy.
Thus, Charles decided to repurpose his family's old manor for the academy. Its location, size, and seclusion perfectly suited his needs. Besides, as the sole heir to the family estate, he didn't have to worry about anyone's objections.
"Charles, why don't we contact Han Yu? That mutant child's abilities are beyond what even the two of us can handle. We haven't even fully mastered our own powers," Erik said as he applied medicine to Charles's wounds.
Following Han Yu's guidance, the two had been traveling across the world to locate mutant children and bring them to the mutant academy—a safe haven for them. However, the very first child they encountered had proven to be a major challenge.
She was a young girl with psychic abilities, seemingly capable of controlling everything around her with her mind.
