Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: Sparring Match

Saitama hesitated for a moment, leaning closer to Han Yu and whispering, "Are you sure about this? Genos is an S-Class hero, after all. Your guy won't be in trouble, right?"

Han Yu maintained his faint smile and said calmly, "Don't worry. Let them fight."

Genos glanced at Saitama, who gave him a small nod. Taking a step forward, Genos introduced himself: "I'm Genos, ranked 17th in the S-Class."

Ultron yawned, slouching with one hand still in his pocket. With an air of disinterest, he replied, "Ultron. No rank, no title—just want to sleep. Let's get this over with."

Suddenly, large jet ports opened on Genos's shoulders. As flames burst forth, his speed increased dramatically, and he became a blur as he charged at Ultron.

Even the small jet ports on his elbows activated, propelling his punches with incredible speed as he aimed a powerful strike at Ultron's side.

But Ultron, unhurried, sidestepped to the right. What appeared to ordinary eyes as a lightning-fast punch was casually evaded with minimal effort.

In the next instant, Ultron's hand moved like a serpent, gliding along Genos's outstretched arm before landing lightly on his shoulder.

Though the tap seemed gentle, Genos felt as if he'd been struck by a speeding train. Letting out a muffled grunt, he was sent flying back dozens of meters.

"This guy's something else," Genos thought, a flicker of excitement in his mechanical eyes. "His reflexes, speed, and strength—all of them are S-Class level, if not higher. I can't hold back anymore!"

Genos's gaze sharpened. As a quick thinker, he had already assessed Ultron's capabilities within their brief exchange. The effortless way Ultron moved, combined with the power behind his strike, made it clear his opponent was no pushover.

"I have to get serious!"

The jet ports on Genos's shoulders ignited again, releasing a massive burst of flames. This time, his speed far surpassed his earlier performance. Previously, his movements left only afterimages; now, even those disappeared. To an average observer, Genos would seem to vanish entirely.

"Impressive speed," Han Yu murmured, nodding in approval. This level of combat prowess would stand out even among the Avengers. Genos's fighting style heavily relied on the jets integrated into his body. Han Yu couldn't help but think that Stark would benefit from sparring with someone like Genos.

After all, an advanced suit of armor constantly firing repulsor blasts at long range but rendered helpless in close combat was far from ideal. Han Yu chuckled at the thought of Stark scrambling if forced into a melee confrontation.

Back on the battlefield, Ultron still wore his half-asleep expression. Was Genos strong? Absolutely. Heroes ranked in the S-Class were never undeserving of their titles.

Well, except for that one guy whose only skill was terrifying people with his heartbeat.

"Ultron, take this seriously!" Han Yu called out, a hint of annoyance in his voice. He didn't believe Ultron would lose, but showing respect for an opponent was important.

"Fine, fine. The sooner I finish this, the sooner I can get back to sleep," Ultron grumbled, stretching. "I even have a bank heist scheduled later tonight."

Since Han Yu had spoken, Ultron had no choice but to focus. Letting out a long sigh, a gleam of seriousness finally appeared in his eyes.

In the next moment, Ultron's body trembled slightly. To most, the movement was imperceptible, but Saitama, watching from the side, couldn't help but comment, "What incredible speed!"

The two fighters exchanged blows, fists colliding. Remarkably, their punches connected before the sound of impact followed, the delay showcasing their superhuman speed.

When Genos's fist struck Ultron, it felt like hitting an immovable mountain rooted firmly to the ground. "What is this guy made of?" Genos wondered, his confidence wavering slightly.

The powerful shockwave from Genos's punch rippled backward, slamming into the walls of the spatial dimension with a resounding boom that sent a chill through the air. And this was purely the result of raw physical strength!

Genos turned his head to look behind him in stunned silence. The towering buildings that had stood behind him were now reduced to nothingness by the force of the shockwave, leaving him with a clear view of the space's boundaries.

"If not for the spatial limits of this dimension, the destruction would have extended even farther!"

Genos murmured to himself, a sense of déjà vu washing over him. It reminded him of a time he sparred with Saitama—when the latter's single punch had turned a mountain ridge into a canyon.

After that fight, Genos had realized just how vast the gap was between him and Saitama. It left him deeply awed and inspired him to pursue his teacher's guidance even more fervently.

"This guy's strength doesn't end here. I can tell he hasn't even used half of his power—maybe not even a tenth!" For the first time, a rare look of astonishment crossed Genos's usually stoic face as he muttered under his breath.

Against a mountain, no matter how many punches you throw, it would still feel insignificant—like a drop in the ocean.

If this were a battle of firepower, Ultron might not have won so decisively. But in close combat, with his resilience and physical strength, Ultron could probably stand still and let Genos hit him all day without sustaining significant damage.

"I lost. You're strong—unbelievably strong."

Genos looked directly at Ultron, his tone calm and sincere. Losing was losing, and since this was a sparring match rather than a life-or-death battle, he didn't feel the sting of defeat. Instead, he felt a spark of excitement.

"Can I come back and spar with you again in the future?"

After all, Saitama wasn't always available to train with him, and catching up to his teacher's level seemed like an impossible task. Meeting such a formidable opponent who wasn't an enemy filled Genos with enthusiasm.

"Too much trouble. No."

Ultron's seriousness faded instantly, replaced by his previous lazy demeanor. His posture slouched, and he no longer looked like the man who had just unleashed such overwhelming power.

Seeing Ultron's indifferent attitude, Han Yu rubbed his chin thoughtfully. The outcome didn't surprise him—it was exactly what he had expected.

"Ultron's physical strength is truly exceptional. If it's purely about raw power, he might even surpass me. I wonder what the result would be if he fought the bald guy."

As this thought crossed his mind, Han Yu turned to see Saitama staring at him. Their gazes met, and both men exchanged a knowing smile.

"His design is essentially 'One Punch,'" Han Yu mused internally. "No matter who the opponent is, they're reduced to nothing in a single blow. Without specific metrics, it's impossible to make cross-universe comparisons of power levels."

Han Yu called out to Genos, saying, "Since you've admitted defeat, let Saitama rest for a day, as agreed."

Genos had no objections—this had been the condition from the start.

"Are you free? We just met, so why don't you come over to my place and play some games?" Saitama asked.

He genuinely didn't know how else to thank Han Yu. Not only had Han Yu treated him to a delicious meal, but he'd also helped deal with his persistent disciple, finally giving him some much-needed rest.

Saitama regretted being so specific with Genos about how long he could rest. Because of that, Genos had spent every waking moment during this time tirelessly seeking his advice on how to grow stronger.
