"Alright, come with me for now. You two can't just spend all day playing games in the shop."
Han Yu wasn't entirely sure what Alexander Pierce had become, but anything that could give Captain America a headache was bound to be far from ordinary.
"Let's go, let's go!"
It was a rare occasion for Han Yu to take them out on a mission, and both Ultron and Quicksilver were visibly excited. While gaming was fun, they were itching to stretch their legs and put their strength to good use. Sitting on untapped power without a chance to show off was simply unbearable for them.
The two quickly shut down their systems, dashed to their rooms, changed outfits, and reemerged, ready and waiting for Han Yu.
Seeing their enthusiasm, Han Yu couldn't help but chuckle. It seemed he really had kept them cooped up in the shop for too long. Just the mention of going out had them this thrilled.
"Both of you can drive, right?" Han Yu asked.
"Of course," Ultron replied. Being a former AI, he had mastered basic skills like driving long ago. Even though he now had a human body, his neural network was still connected to the internet, allowing him to access information as efficiently as before.
"I'm decent," Quicksilver added confidently. "I've practiced a lot in games and even bought a full racing simulator setup. With Ultron coaching me, I've spent hours perfecting my skills. Other than not having a license, I'd say I'm a solid intermediate-level driver."
Han Yu had seen the simulator in Quicksilver's room before while passing by. It looked just like a real car cockpit, and he'd even tried it out himself.
"Good. Let's keep it low-key this time and not fly over there. Every time we rush around like we're in a funeral procession. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters in Washington isn't too far from here, so just pick a car and drive."
Han Yu smiled and spoke to the shop system. Moments later, he sent Ultron and Quicksilver a link. When they opened it, they were greeted with an array of luxury cars—some of the world's most prestigious models.
Quicksilver's eyes lit up immediately. He turned to Han Yu and asked, "Boss, we can drive any of these?"
Han Yu nodded with a grin. "Pick any one you like. Consider it a small gift from me."
Han Yu had exchanged one upgrade point for the three luxury cars. He thought it was worth it, and with 83 upgrade points remaining, he still had a long way to go before reaching the 500 points needed for his next promotion.
"Wow, these look way cooler in real life than in games. Wait, let me choose carefully."
Quicksilver's eyes were practically glued to the screen. This was his first car, after all, and he wasn't about to take the decision lightly.
"I'm ready," Ultron said quickly. His decision-making was far faster. He turned to Han Yu and asked, "Do I just click 'Buy' to confirm?"
"Yes."
Han Yu glanced at Ultron's selection and saw that he'd chosen the McLaren F1. This model was also Ultron's favorite car in GTA, where he'd already purchased every McLaren available in the game.
Nodding in approval, Han Yu looked back at Quicksilver. The speedster was still agonizing between two luxury models. Suddenly, he ran to his room and returned with a coin in hand.
"Alright, heads for this one, tails for that one..."
Quicksilver took a deep breath, muttering the phrase repeatedly as he prepared to flip the coin.
Han Yu couldn't help but laugh. Was this really necessary? They could always buy more cars in the future when they had the money!
With their skills in GTA, it was only a matter of time before the trio became in-game billionaires. Converting that in-game wealth into real-world currency would yield eye-popping sums. Was there really a need to agonize over this decision?
Quicksilver flipped the coin, but before it could land, he snatched it mid-air and decisively clicked on the car to his left, confirming the purchase.
It was a sleek silver Bugatti Veyron.
"Wait, you made the choice before the coin even landed?" Han Yu asked, puzzled.
Quicksilver glanced at the coin still in his hand and explained, "The purpose of flipping a coin isn't to let it make the decision for you, but to see what you hope it lands on when it's in mid-air. That moment of clarity is your true answer."
Silence.
"What's wrong?"
Quicksilver looked up, noticing Han Yu and Ultron staring at him with unblinking intensity. Their reactions made him uneasy.
"Is this the Pietro we know?"
"Looks like him, but those words don't sound like him at all. Could he really come up with something like that?"
Though it seemed like they were whispering to each other, neither Han Yu nor Ultron made any effort to lower their voices. Quicksilver heard every word.
"You two jerks! Can't I have a moment of depth without being mocked?" Quicksilver retorted, his face reddening slightly. He knew his philosophical comment didn't match his usual carefree persona, but people could change, couldn't they?
"Alright, alright, just messing with you, man."
Han Yu laughed it off and decided to pick his own car—a Pagani Zonda Cinque, featuring a striking black body with sleek contours.
"Okay, let's roll. The destination is already set in the car's navigation system. Just follow the route, and we won't get lost."
With a smile, Han Yu got into his car. In the narrow alley behind the shop, three luxury cars had materialized out of nowhere. Seeing them in real life was far more impressive than browsing them online.
Even Ultron seemed genuinely excited as he settled into his McLaren and adjusted to the feel of the controls.
Han Yu took the lead, driving out of the alley. The two other sports cars revved their engines and followed close behind.
The sudden appearance of three roaring supercars on the city streets immediately drew attention. Their engines growled in a way that demanded notice, turning heads at every intersection.
The street quickly became an impromptu racetrack as the trio subtly competed with one another.
Traffic officers noticed the flashy cars almost instantly. Suspecting a street race, they prepared to intervene but soon realized the drivers were carefully obeying all traffic laws. Frustrated but unable to act, the officers could only watch as the cars sped away.
Meanwhile, Wanda had arrived at the Sanctum Sanctorum, home of the Sorcerer Supreme. She walked through the corridors, her curiosity piqued as she observed the intricate architecture.
The structure was predominantly wooden, with no visible nails. The woodwork featured precise joins and seamless craftsmanship, achieving incredible stability without a single nail.
"What's wrong? Are you nervous?" The Ancient One asked with a gentle smile, noticing Wanda's wandering gaze.
Wanda shook her head and replied, "Not nervous, really. It's just... this is my first time going somewhere alone. I used to always move around with my brother. After joining the shop, most of my outings were just casual shopping trips. This is my first time traveling far from home."
The Ancient One smiled warmly and said, "From now on, you can think of this place as your home. Everyone who comes here considers it their sanctuary."
