Chapter 183 - IRONED WOMAN

ORIGIN: Eastern Europe, in Romania and Hungary.

The story tells of a young woman who lived in a small village during the 19th century.

She was known for her beauty and sweet kindness, but her life took a wrong turn when she fell in love with a wealthy nobleman's son.

Their love was forbidden according to the laws of the land, so when the nobleman found out about their secret meetings, he accused her of being a witch who had bewitched his son.

Heavily determined to punish her, the nobleman ordered her to be tied to an ironing table, where she was tortured without mercy.

The villagers watched in horror as red-hot irons were pressed against her flesh and ran through her body, ironing her as though she was a T- shirt, burning her skin beyond recognition.

She screamed, cried, writhed, struggled and begged for mercy, begged for help…

But no one dared to step in or plea for mercy on her behalf.

When she finally died, the nobleman ordered that her body be discarded in the nearby river, hoping her spirit would be forgotten.

However, legend says that on misty nights, villagers began to see a ghost woman in tattered clothes with her skin scarred and steaming as if it was just freshly burned.

She is now seek for vengeance, appearing in homes where irons are left plugged and unattended, causing them to overheat and burn anything nearby.

If you hear a faint hissing sound, it is her spirit coming for revenge.
