Chapter 13 - THE 11-MILE ROAD URBAN LEGEND

The 11-Mile Road is a urban legend about a mysterious, hidden road—- which goes on for 11 miles (according to its name)---- that is said to grant a person their deepest, greatest wish.

If the person survives the journey then he or she would be given just one wish.

According to the legend, the road only appears to those who truly need something.

To find it, a person must drive alone at night, reciting their wish in their mind while following an unknown pull or maybe instinct, that would guide them to the road's entrance.

Once on the 11-mile road, the driver must never stop, never leave their vehicle and never turn around.

And with each mile, the driver's sanity is stretched to its limit.

From Mile 1-3: The surroundings grow and become eerily silent, the road feels longer than it should and shadows start to jump around the corner of their eyes.

Mile 4-6: The temperature suddenly drops, and regardless of the season, summer, spring or autumn, frost forms on the windshield of the driver's car.

Mile 7-9: More ghostly figures start to appear, this time in the rearview mirror along with a presence whispering the driver's name.

Mile 10: The road itself begins to twist on its own as if it were alive. Unseen hands then grab at the driver's hand, making them see their worst fears.

Mile 11: The final mile;

Is the most dangerous.

Blinding lights from assumingly nowhere and strange monstrous creatures attack the car, trying to stop the driver from finishing.

If the driver were to survive, they'll reach the end and will be granted their wish.

However, many never return, and those who do are never the same.

Some say the wish comes with a terrible price—one worse than death itself.

Would you dare to drive the 11-mile road?
