Chapter XLIV: Breakdown As he is sleeping, Kota dreams of a dying planet. This doesn't look like that it is within the solar system but between a blue planet and a purple planet. The star of that system dies and the two planets get deranged, having their atmosphere to cool down and turn into reddish planets by Mars. But within a snap of a second, a nebula exploded and a new star is created and the two atmospheres of the two planets regain their distinguishable tints; purple and blue. In another dream, two towns are connected by a long steel bridge. The mayor of the other town knocks down the bridge and the two towns can't connect again but the people are still at peace. However, as time passes, the mayor realizes that he made a huge mistake since that bridge is their only way to make their economy more develop and to grow. The two towns reconnect again with a new and sturdy expansion bridge, making their connection to one another more genuine as they set aside their differences and to forget about the past mistakes. He then wakes up, looks at his alarm clock to find out that he overslept. Upon rushing down the stairs to have breakfast, his mom stops him since it's actually a Saturday and not a school day. He sits down at the table looking disappointed due to the date. As he faces his meal, he scrolls down YourBook and a group-chat notifies him. The group-chat turns out to be of those who play The Twins. This includes Akiko. Kota wants to join but have doubts about it after what had happened. He goes into his convo with Akiko. He thinks for a minute on how to connect with her but doubts again."What if she will not like it?Am I still worthy as a friend?Does she still think of me?How can I make it up to her at this state?", he thinks. He stares blankly at the screen and turns off the device. After having his breakfast, he goes upstairs to the piano to play something. He searches up the song and begins to play. The song is about going to another path, waving goodbye to a popular colored road in a fantasy film where a girl goes into an Isekai (another world) by a tornado and solves the different problems of three people. After playing the song, he goes to do his homework. On Monday, he gets up from his bed to find out that he's late. At the school gate, he runs, bypassing the guard and dashes into the corridor and then goes inside the classroom. However, he's lucky that the teacher isn't there yet. In the middle of the class, he looks at the window and thinks what will happen in that condition. He looks at Enmei, Hanako, and Akiko chatting to each other. He remarks,"I want to go there but I know I have to avoid so I can heal slowly. Avoidance is a key factor to heal and once it will be ok, the rotten past will be forgotten. Hopefully, I can solve this problem like a quadratic expression" From afar, Asahi pulls out his guitar and strums his way. Although he is just playing his guitar, Kota then realizes something about the songs Asahi is playing. These songs actually talk about being heartbroken and gives Kota some flashbacks again about the past. Even though he is already giving him some blows to the head and heart, Asahi stares at him and grins. Kota feels depressed with this and begins to overthink again. He only snaps back to reality when Gin taps his back. At the cafeteria, he goes to the squad. However, Enmei's friends from the other class shows up and joins them. The talk about the major updates in The Twins. When Asahi passes by, he joins in the conversation and talks about The Twins memes and the others joined in. Since he haven't played The Twins for a long time, Kota feels like raven in a murder (flock of crows). He tries to find Gin and remembers that Gin went out of the school to buy something. Due to this, he plugs his earphone into his ear and bows his head. In the afternoon, he talks with Gin. They go to the toilet to talk about it since it's privacy but someone follows them from the back. At the toilet,"Hey, have you felt out of place?" (Kota)"I think many times" (Gin)"You know, I don't know if you get it but someone is trying to rip me off" (Kota)"And who would that be?" (Gin)"Look, I will give a hint because I don't want people to think that I'm the destroyer of connections or a mad man since they like that person a lot" (Kota)"What's the clue though?" (Gin)"He is a best friend of mine and a big clue is that he is listening right now" (Kota) Gin's eyes widen and Asahi emerges from one of the stalls."You didn't hear what we're talking about right?", he asks Asahi."What? Of course not", Asahi answers and lures away Gin with a YourBook post regarding relationships again. Kota feels disappointed because of this and now he thinks that Gin might think that he was talking about him. Soon after he gets home, he throws himself in bed and looks at the ceiling. He thinks about life due to these events that are going to collapse. As the night falls, he thinks about Akiko again. He then grabs his body pillow, hugs it and cries."Why hast though happened?Does history needs to repeat itself again?!What shall I do?I don't' want to kill myself like Asahi but what shall I do?", he vents out and asks himself. He then stops and looks at his bag. He ponders for a while and although he has doubt of doing this, he packs some things. He looks at the blue moon and says,"Where the wind goes, there will be change depending on the weather."
