Part 1: "Betrayed in the Shadows"
---
"Kenji," Miko said, her voice low and laced with anger, "put the gun down. You don't have to do this."
Kenji's hand trembled slightly, but his resolve didn't falter. "You don't understand, Miko. Arata isn't just some power-hungry Guild leader. He's trying to save humanity. The things you've seen… they're necessary."
"Necessary?" Miko snapped. "You call experimenting on people and demons necessary?"
Kenji's jaw tightened. "You wouldn't understand. You've always been too idealistic. But the world isn't black and white."
Miko took a slow step forward, her daggers glinting faintly in the dim light. "Maybe not. But I know betrayal when I see it."
Before Kenji could respond, the sound of boots echoed in the hallway. More hunters were closing in.
"Miko," Mei's voice crackled in her earpiece. "You've got at least six heading your way. Get out of there!"
Miko's grip tightened on her daggers. "Not without answers."

Part 2: "A Snake's Fury"
---
The door burst open, and Miko barely had time to react as the first hunter charged in. She ducked, her daggers flashing as she landed a blow to his side.
Before she could turn to the next attacker, a blur of silver and black moved past her. Bai was a storm of precision and power, his strikes leaving no room for retaliation.
"You took your time," Miko muttered, dodging another swing.
"You seemed to be handling it," Bai replied, his voice calm even as he disarmed another hunter with a swift motion.
Kenji hesitated, his gun wavering as he watched Bai cut through the reinforcements with alarming ease. "What… what are you?"
Bai turned, his golden eyes glowing faintly in the low light. "Your worst nightmare."
Miko rolled her eyes. "Really? You had to go full cliché?"
Bai smirked, grabbing her arm and pulling her toward the window. "Less talking, more running."

Part 3: "The Guild's Secrets"
---
The night air was sharp and cold as they climbed out onto the roof. Below, the sprawling city glittered with neon lights, a stark contrast to the chaos inside the mansion.
Miko clutched the bag of stolen files, her mind racing. "What the hell was Kenji talking about? 'Saving humanity'? From what?"
Bai leaned against the railing, catching his breath. "The Guild isn't just fighting demons. They're trying to eliminate them entirely. Every bloodline, every trace."
Miko frowned. "But demons don't all attack humans. Some—"
"Some coexist," Bai interrupted, his tone bitter. "But that doesn't fit their narrative. To them, anything not fully human is a threat."
Miko opened the bag, pulling out a folder marked Project Genesis. Inside were diagrams and notes detailing plans to combine human and demon DNA to create "super soldiers."
"They're trying to turn us into weapons," Miko said, her voice shaking. "This is what they did to my parents."
"And what they'll do to you," Bai said quietly.

Part 4: "A Hunter's Choice"
---
They found refuge in an old, abandoned temple on the edge of the city. The air was thick with the scent of incense and decay, the once-sacred space long forgotten.
Miko sat on the cold stone steps, staring at her hands. She flexed her fingers, feeling the strange energy coursing through her veins.
"You're scared," Bai said, leaning against a pillar.
"No kidding," Miko muttered. "What if… what if I become like them? Like the people who did this to me?"
Bai approached her, crouching so they were eye level. "You're not them. The fact that you're asking that question proves it."
She looked at him, her gray eyes filled with doubt. "What if I lose control?"
"Then learn to control it," Bai said simply. "Or let it control you. The choice is yours."
Miko clenched her fists. "Easy for you to say. You've had centuries to figure this out."
Bai's smirk faded, his expression softening. "And I've spent most of them running from who I am. Don't make the same mistake."

Part 5: "The Serpent and the Elder"
---
The confrontation with Arata took place in a sleek, high-rise office overlooking the city. The walls were lined with books and trophies, a display of power and prestige.
Arata sat behind a massive desk, his piercing eyes fixed on Miko. "You've caused quite the disruption," he said, his voice calm but laced with menace.
"Disruption?" Miko spat, slamming the stolen files onto the desk. "You're torturing people. Turning them into monsters. How can you call this saving humanity?"
Arata's expression didn't change. "Humanity needs strength to survive. Your parents understood that. It's why they volunteered for the project."
Miko froze. "What are you talking about?"
Arata leaned back in his chair. "Your parents didn't just participate—they helped design the experiments. They believed in the cause. They believed in creating something greater than humanity."
"You're lying," Miko said, her voice trembling.
"Am I?" Arata gestured toward the files. "It's all there. Your parents saw the future. And so will you."
Before Miko could respond, the doors burst open, armed hunters pouring in. Bai stepped forward, his energy crackling.
"Enough," he said, his golden eyes narrowing. "If you want a fight, you'll get one."
The room erupted into chaos, leaving Miko to decide whether to trust her instincts—or the legacy of her bloodline.
