Chapter 7 - Unseen Power

After completing his usual morning body training, Lin Fang sat down on his bed, preparing to meditate as he did every day. But as he began to settle into his familiar routine, a sharp realization struck him—his Dantian was shattered, and meditation was no longer an option. For a moment, he felt a wave of frustration, but then something unusual happened.

As he attempted to meditate, he sensed two strange Golden threads of energy—unfamiliar yet undeniably present—floating within his sea of conscious.

" What are these?", He asked himself as he saw these energies began to drift toward his shattered Dantian, and as they touched the broken core within him, Lin Fang experienced a searing pain.

" AH, What is happening?" He asked as he let out a grunt in pain while gritting his teeth, trying to hold his scream. He felt like something was attacking his very core, tearing at his very essence. But strangely, alongside the agony, he felt a sense of relief. It was as if, through the pain, his body was beginning to heal in ways he couldn't comprehend.

He watched in awe and pain as the two thin strings of energy ventured deeper into the cracks of his Dantian. Despite the searing pain, there was something about these energies that seemed to be mending him, stitching together what had been broken.

Lin Fang was stunned—truly shocked. " What is going on?" ,He had no idea what was happening, but this mysterious energy offered him a sliver of hope. A hope that, perhaps, he could regain what he had lost. That his wings could grow back again, and he could become whole once more.

But as quickly as his hope rose, it was dashed. The two threads of energy seemed to evaporate, their mission complete. The brief sensation of healing vanished with them, leaving only a sense of emptiness. Though some of his injuries had healed, it was clear that for true recovery, he would need billions of these energy threads.

" Should I try meditating again?",His curiosity was piqued. He focused again, meditating with all his might, hoping to summon those threads once more. Slowly, faint lines of energy appeared, but this time they seemed different—more fragile and less direct.

The threads drifted toward his body instead of his Dantian, and as they did, excruciating pain shot through him. It started in his hands and spread quickly, igniting his entire body with unbearable agony.

Then, he felt it—a snap, something inside him breaking. It wasn't just physical; it felt like his very being was unraveling. Suddenly, black matter began to seep from his pores, a foul, thick substance that coated his skin in dark streaks. " Fu*k!" Alarmed, Lin Fang rushed to the bathroom, knowing something was terribly wrong.

Once inside, he sank to the floor, trying to meditate once again. The pain intensified, but so did the black matter, flowing freely as if escaping from deep within him. It seemed endless. After what felt like an eternity, the energy was spent, and so was the pain. Lin Fang sat there, panting, wondering if the threads were gone for good.

He attempted meditation once more, but there was nothing. No lines of energy, no feeling of the strange threads. Either they had vanished or disappeared completely. " Are they truly gone?" He asked himself in sad tone but as the pain went away, A terrible realization hit him.

The foul smell emanating from his body was unbearable, so rancid it made him gag. He fought the urge to vomit, enduring the stench as he scrubbed himself put water on him from the big water buckets in his bathroom.

The scrubbing was relentless, Making his skin turning red as he worked with all his strength, determined to rid himself of the vile residue and smell. He spent an entire tank of water in the bathroom, cleansing himself as if washing away the very remnants of his soul.

After freshening up, Lin Fang wrapped a loose white robe around his body, the fabric flowing like water as he moved. He sat down on the bed, his mind racing, trying to process the strange events that had just unfolded. The mysterious threads of energy, the pain, the black matter—it all seemed so surreal. His mind churned with questions, and the more he thought, the more confused he became.

'What were those two thin lines of energy? And how did they come into my body?'

The questions lingered in his mind like an unsolvable puzzle. He couldn't shake the feeling that this was something far bigger than just a simple accident. As he pondered, a thought crossed his mind—what if they had always been there, waiting to be discovered? But no, he was certain. They hadn't been present before, not when he meditated yesterday. So where had they come from?

Determined to understand, he closed his eyes and focused inward, trying to recall the strange sensation from earlier. To his surprise, the two threads of energy were there again, swirling in a circle within his sea of consciousness. One thread was slightly thicker than the other, both glowing faintly with a golden hue.

For a moment, Lin Fang's instinct screamed at him to absorb the energy, to let it flow into his shattered Dantian and heal him. It was tempting—so very tempting. But he hesitated, remembering the pain that had followed before. 'No,' he thought. 'I need to understand this first. I can't just act on impulse.'

He pulled himself back from the brink, refusing to give in to the desire to absorb the energy without fully understanding its origin. His mind was sharp now, more focused than ever. He had to know where these threads were coming from and why they had suddenly appeared.

With his eyes still closed, Lin Fang concentrated harder, trying to trace the origin of the threads. As he did, something strange began to happen. He felt a steady flow of energy, gentle but persistent, entering his sea of consciousness, making the golden threads grow larger, more vibrant.

His pulse quickened. 'This wasn't happening before. Something is feeding the threads.'

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open. For a fleeting moment, he saw something—a faint glimmer of golden light that seemed to extend beyond his room, leading somewhere just out of sight. The thread appeared to stretch outward, disappearing as quickly as it had come into view.

Lin Fang narrowed his eyes, his mind racing. 'What was that?'
