"I also bought some fairy lights for our bedroom. I don't know if Daxun-ge will like them,"the younger revealed.
"Do you want to show me?"
"Yeah sure."
Gu Shan led the way out of the kitchen with the two of them still carrying their cocktail glasses. Immediately they entered the bedroom,Li Yunxi noticed the fairy lights hanging on the wall in a zigzag pattern. The fairy lights which were a combination of warm white and soft yellow illuminated the whole room creating a cozy and intimate ambience.
"They're beautiful," Li Yunxi remarked in amazement,his eyes scanning around with interest.
"You can sit if you want ,"Gu Shan gestured him to sit on the bed and he immediately complied with the gesture perching himself on the edge of the bed. He took a sip of his cocktail and continued looking around. Gu Shan followed suit shortly after and sat on the bed.
For a moment there was awkward silence between them each unable to strike a conversation.
"I'm sorry I didn't show up at the club on Friday,"Gu Shan began moistening his lips nervously.
"It's okay. I was just upset you didn't show up and you didn't text me either that you wouldn't make it."
"Is that why were you mad at me?"Gu Shan pointed out.
"Partly yes,"Li Yunxi admitted sighing wearily.
Gu Shan only chuckled in response not sure how to react to Li Yunxi's confession.
"By the way is there something between you and that professor's niece?"
"Who told you about the Professor's daughter? Is it Daxun-ge?"Gu Shan questioned sounding surprised.
"Yeah. I kinda asked him about your whereabouts,"Li Yunxi said sounding embarrassed.
"There's nothing going on between me and that girl. It's all Daxun's delusion."
"Glad to know that,"Li Yunxi muttered suppressing a smile.
"Huh?"
"Nothing,"Li Yunxi replied quickly."There's something I've been meaning to ask you?"He continued and turned to face Gu Shan.
"Go ahead."
"What were you thinking when you suggested a threesome that day?"
"I wasn't thinking of anything. I just acted out of impulse."
"That night when you moved into the apartment I was gonna ask you if you were still sore..."
"And what if I was?" Gu Shan suddenly questioned back provocatively catching Li Yunxi by surprise.
"I would have taken you to see a doctor,"Li Yunxi teased smiling mischievously.
And just like that they started teasing each other and slapping each other playfully each time the other was embarrassed.
"Why do you hate people touching you but when it comes to me you don't behave that way?"Li Yunxi asked in the middle of their teasing game and the room that was once filled with laughed was again coated by silence.
"I don't know... When I get in contact with you it just feels so right,"Gu Shan replied fiddling his fingers. He didn't like the idea of exposing himself yet he found himself doing it anyway.
"That sounds...romantic,"Li Yunxi said and burst out laughing. Gu Shan pouted his lips pretending to be offended and raised his hand to slap him but his hand was caught midway by a strong hand gripping his wrist tightly.
"I'm sorry for laughing but seriously that made me feel good "Li Yunxi admitted his tone becoming serious. He had never felt so special before. Gu Shan knew his sweet words were definitely working seeing how happy Li Yunxi looked,how appreciated he felt. That was just the roots to success of his plan. There was nothing special like making exceptions for someone. It would make the other person feel like they are the only ones you allow to access your soul.
Gu Shan slowly raised his gaze only to find the other looking at him with an intense gaze. Those dark irises of Li Yunxi Were darker than usual laced with a certain emotion which Gu Shan found it hard to decipher.
As they stared into each other's soul through their eyes,Li Yunxi lowered his gaze to Gu Shan's lips and the boy instinctively moistened his lips feeling the other's gaze on that exact part.
Li Yunxi retracted his gaze and sipped the drink distracting himself from the arising wild thoughts.
"Can I use your bathroom?"Li Yunxi requested.
"Sure."
Li Yunxi got up,placed his cocktail glass on the table and walked to the bathroom. When he came back ,he was welcomed by a slight change of ambience . There on the table,music was playing on the audio player. And Gu Shan was seated on the bed nodding his head to the rhythm of the song.
"Do you know how to dance?"Gu Shan asked.
"No I don't,"Li Yunxi smiled.
"With a great body like yours I'm sure you're a very good dancer."
"I'm flattered,"Li Yunxi laughed genuinely. He knew the boy was provoking him into dancing.
"The room is too quiet so I thought we should play some music."
"That's nice."
"I just bought the audio player today and the music is so good but there's no one dancing to it,"Gu Shan pouted his lips.
"Okay I'll dance only if you join me ,"Li Yunxi finally submitted to the boy's demand. The small unoccupied space in the room becoming their dance floor. The two of them writhed their bodies to the rhythm and lipsynced to the songs.
The playlist had a mixture of songs from different genres. When those slow jazz songs began playing in the background, Li Yunxi moved his body in a sensual and relaxed manner. Gu Shan was also moving the same slow rhythmic movements and before they knew it they were twirling each other on the dancefloor like a couple of opera performers.
"I didn't know we had so much in common,"Gu Shan squealed with joy.
"How come you're such a good dancer?"
"It's all because of my uncle,"Gu Shan revealed as Li Yunxi twirled him. Li Yunxi found himself indulging too much in the moment and the feelings he had worked so hard to hide were on the verge of erupting from inside him like a fucking volcano. Their eyes twinkled with nothing but excitement and without hesitation,Li Yunxi pulled the boy closer by his waist staring into his eyes. Despite the awkward proximity the boy didn't protest or show any signs of discomfort and Li Yunxi took that as the greenlight to proceed with what he desired to do the most. He captured the boy's lips and began kissing him softly. Gu Shan sudden froze on the spot, his body stiff and tense from the sudden act of intimacy. His eyes were wide open even when the other kissed him . Li Yunxi was about to pull away when he suddenly felt a pair of lips moving over his synchronizing with his movements.
For a minute they sucked each other's lips relishing the lingering taste of lychee martini on each other's lips. Unlike the hard glass surface where they usually drank their cocktails from,this lychee martini was especially served in a softer vessel although in a small amount. Li Yunxi felt the electrifying feeling rush down his spine creating waves of pleasure. They later pulled away from each other to catch their breaths but they didn't stay in each other's arms as Li Yunxi jumped away from the other.
"I'm sorry...I...uh,"Li Yunxi stuttered feeling remorseful,"I'm sorry I didn't mean to kiss you. I just got caught up in the moment I guess,"he groaned frustratedly raking his fingers through his hair. He got carried away while having that sweet dancing moment while staring into each other's eyes like a couple in a kdrama.
"What do you mean you're sorry?"Gu Shan questioned sounding offended.
"I'm sorry for offending you. I shouldn't have kissed you without your consent. It was a mistake,"he said feeling guilty.
"But I kissed you back so it wasn't a mistake,"Gu Shan argued.
"Look... I usually don't take responsibility after kissing people because I don't do relationships. I lost control and..."Li Yunxi felt angry with himself. He couldn't find the right words to justify his actions. He crossed a boundary he shouldn't have .
"It's no big deal besides it's not the first time kissing,"Gu Shan uttered nonchalantly. It wasn't that Gu Shan didn't care,well, it was part of the plan.
"I think we should call it a night. I have to go,"Li Yunxi spoke chaotically and dashed out of the room.
Gu Shan was left watching his receding figure and smirked,"Gotcha!"
Gu Shan walked back to the table and grabbed his cocktail glass sipping the liquid while swaying his hips to the beat of the song playing. If it were his former self he would have been enraged by someone invading his personal space but now his principles had long been neglected by his new self. And now he felt nothing but total bliss but he hated to admit how nice he felt after the unexpected kiss.
