The next day, Taeyang woke up early and decided to continue his work at home. He felt that the day was a good opportunity to tidy up his house, cook for himself, and enjoy a little more relaxed time away from the usual detective work routine that kept him up late into the night.
While cleaning the house, Taeyang looked very different from his serious and tension-filled daily life. In casual clothes-shorts and a loose T-shirt-he looks like a regular guy trying to enjoy his day off. However, when he decides to cook, it turns into chaos.
He had prepared the ingredients, but when he tried to sauté onions, the fire from the stove suddenly grew. Taeyang panicked and hurriedly tried to put out the fire, but instead spilled cooking oil on the floor, making him almost slip. "Aishh, shit! What the hell!" he muttered in frustration.
Not long after, her cell phone rang. It was a call from Minseok, his colleague in the police department.
"Taeyang, I heard you're still at home? What's wrong with you, why didn't you come in today?" Minseok asked, seemingly worried about Taeyang's absence.
Taeyang replied casually, though still looking a little upset about the incident in the kitchen. "Minseok, you're filling in for me today. I have some personal business at home. Besides, I can handle it myself," he replied while cleaning up the oil that had spilled on the floor.
Minseok chuckled on the other end of the line. "Sure thing, Taeyang. Don't forget to eat, though. Don't let yourself get sick because of the household chores."
After hanging up, Taeyang resumed his duties with great effort, but with a bit of humor. Although his job as a detective was a serious one, he knew it was important to occasionally escape the tension and enjoy the little things in life. In the course of cleaning the house and cooking, he learned that sometimes a little chaos can provide the needed calm.
Finally, after a few failed attempts and a lot of laughing to himself, Taeyang managed to make a simple breakfast - not perfect, but satisfying enough. He sat at the dining table looking out the window, enjoying the serene scenery, with a small smile on his face.
That day, although there was no big action, Taeyang felt a little more peaceful. He knew that although his job was full of risks and challenges, life balance could be found in simple things, like cooking and enjoying relaxing time at home.
And, although the funny incident made him remember the little messes in life, Taeyang realized that sometimes that's what makes life feel more alive.
A few hours after the funny incident in the kitchen, Taeyang felt a little relieved after managing to deal with the mess he made himself. His house was tidier now, and even though breakfast was a bit of a mess, he felt proud that he had made it himself. No more disturbing his peace. Her cell phone vibrated, and she saw a message from Minseok.
"You really didn't come in? I've taken care of some things for our case. Be careful at home, don't get carried away."
Taeyang just smiled a little reading the message. Minseok was always attentive, even to small things like this. Even though he could work alone, he knew his partner would still support him, both at work and outside of it.
Shortly after, Taeyang decided to go out for a while. He wanted to refresh his mind after a chaotic day. He walked through the large front garden of his house, enjoying the fresh morning air. On the way, he thought about Jiwon-a girl he had met a few times. Although they had only spoken a little, he felt a strange connection, something that caught his attention.
However, Taeyang knew he wasn't easily carried away. Jiwon's existence made him think, but he realized that his life right now was more filled with mystery and greater responsibility. He returned home, grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down in front of his laptop. The work as a detective can't be far from her.
On the other hand, Jiwon didn't know what was really going on with Taeyang, but she sensed there was another side to the man that was hard to explain. Several times she thought about visiting Taeyang's house again, just to talk more. But for some reason, he hesitated. There was a feeling that their worlds were too different to understand each other.
Days passed and Taeyang went back to his routine-spending his time practicing martial arts at home and going through case reports. As darkness fell, he found himself sitting quietly in the living room, pondering. Sometimes, life is full of little messes and unexpected things, but it makes her feel more alive.
Out there, Jiwon was still thinking about Taeyang. Her mind was racing, trying to understand the mysterious man, but something inside her said that she might not be fully prepared to face Taeyang's world-a world full of mystery and danger.
But, who knows? Sometimes, in life, unexpected encounters can change everything.
A few days passed since their last meeting, and although Taeyang was busy with his work again, he couldn't help but feel a growing curiosity about Jiwon. Every time he looked at his phone, he hoped there would be a message from the girl. However, he knew that wasn't going to happen. Jiwon had her own life, and Taeyang didn't want to bother her any further.
Meanwhile, Jiwon was feeling a little awkward. After a few encounters with Taeyang, she felt more and more attracted, but his busy life made her hesitate. On the one hand, she wanted to get closer to him, but on the other hand, she didn't know if she was ready to enter a world so different from the one she had been living in. Taeyang's world was full of danger, mystery, and suspense.
One afternoon, when Taeyang returned home after a long day of work, he felt a little surprised. In front of his house, Jiwon stood with a duffel bag in her hands.
"You... what are you doing here?" asked Taeyang, a little surprised.
Jiwon smiled, though there was a hint of nervousness on her face. "I was just wondering how you were doing. It seems like we haven't talked in a while."
Taeyang raised his eyebrows, then nodded slowly. "I'm fine. Come on in, then."
Jiwon walked in, and they sat down in the living room. Taeyang offered her a drink, but Jiwon declined. They didn't talk much right away, but Jiwon's presence felt refreshing to Taeyang. There was a warm feeling slowly growing inside him, though he tried to ignore it.
"What exactly are you looking for?" asked Taeyang finally, breaking the silence. "You came here, but I knew something was bothering you."
Jiwon was silent for a moment, staring at the floor. "I... I was just curious about you. All this time I've seen another side of you, one that I can't understand. Why do you live like this? Too serious, too introverted."
Taeyang didn't answer right away. He just sighed and sat down more comfortably. "Sometimes, we have to keep our distance from the outside world. Not everyone is ready to know the deeper side of one's life."
Jiwon looked at Taeyang with a questioning gaze. "What happened to you? What made you like this?"
Taeyang looked at him for a moment, feeling a little confused. He wanted to say something honest, but at the same time, he didn't feel ready. "I just choose not to involve other people in my life. It's a choice I made."
Jiwon didn't know what else to say. He just stayed silent, observing Taeyang with a deeper feeling. There was a sense of curiosity that overcame him, but also a sense of fear if he went too far into Taeyang's world full of secrets.
That night, Taeyang and Jiwon spent time together, talking a bit about each other's lives. Although they didn't talk about personal things too deeply, there was a connection that was felt. A connection that slowly grew, and Taeyang began to feel that something was different.
However, Taeyang knew that his journey wasn't over yet. The world he lived in as a detective, filled with danger and mystery, might soon lead him back into suspense. But, for now, he feels that there is one thing that is more important: maintaining relationships with the people he cares about, even though their worlds are so different.
Taeyang's life is full of many unexpected things, but one thing is for sure-Jiwon's presence has given his life a new color. Perhaps, this is the beginning of something bigger.
After that quiet night, Taeyang felt something was different in his life. Jiwon's presence gave it an unexpected feel. Although he kept his distance from the outside world, there was something about her that made him feel more alive, more connected to the world outside of work and the mystery that always surrounded him.
A few days later, Taeyang was busy with work again. His cases were getting more and more complicated, and he felt trapped in a never-ending loop. However, in the midst of that pressure, he always felt a little relieved whenever he thought of Jiwon. An unexpected thought, but one that cannot be ignored.
Meanwhile, Jiwon felt her confusion increasing. She could no longer ignore the feelings that began to grow in her heart. Although she knew that Taeyang was a complicated and secretive person, she felt a strong attraction to get to know him better. However, he also didn't know if Taeyang was ready to open up to him, or if he was ready to face such a dark and dangerous world that surrounded Taeyang's life.
One afternoon, while Taeyang is finishing up a case report in his office, he gets a text message from Jiwon.
Jiwon: "Are you busy? I want to see you today."
Taeyang looked at the message for a while, hesitating for a moment. However, he finally decided to reply.
Taeyang: "I'm a little busy, but if you want to meet, we can go to our usual place."
Jiwon replied quickly.
Jiwon: "Alright, I'll wait for you."
A few hours later, they met at a small cafe that they liked to visit after a long day. Jiwon was already sitting at the same table as usual, waiting for Taeyang with a cup of coffee in front of her.
Taeyang sat across from her and immediately ordered coffee without saying much. The atmosphere between them was a little awkward, but there was an unspoken feeling in the air.
"What's up? It seems like you want to talk about something," Taeyang said, finally opening the conversation.
Jiwon nodded slowly. "I'm just curious... about what's really going on with you. Why do you always keep your distance? Why do you always shut yourself off like that?"
Taeyang looked at him deeply. "It's not about keeping my distance. It's about what I choose to do. The world is not an easy place, and sometimes I feel safer if I don't involve others."
Jiwon paused for a moment, staring at the coffee in her cup. "But, sometimes... we need someone to share with, right? I just want to understand. You're not alone, Taeyang."
Taeyang took a deep breath. He knew that although he never wanted a complicated relationship, Jiwon had made him think further. Perhaps, it was time for him to open up a little more.
"Sometimes I feel like I'm in a completely different world," Taeyang said quietly. "This world is full of lies, tension, and danger. I just want to live a quiet life, a simple one."
Jiwon looked at him thoughtfully, then softly said, "You can have both, Taeyang. A quiet life and a life full of people who care about you. We all need that."
Taeyang paused, trying to digest Jiwon's words. Although he often closed himself off, there was something in Jiwon's words that opened his heart little by little.
However, they both knew that the road ahead would not be easy. Taeyang with his world full of secrets and dangers, and Jiwon with her simple life, trying to find a place to meet in the middle of it all.
That night, although there was no promise or clarity about their future, there was a feeling that the two might be able to walk together, even though their worlds were very different. But for the first time, Taeyang felt that there was hope for him, and perhaps, it started with Jiwon.
