Lady Lhia is in a deep thought, she didn't notice that everyone is looking at her and waiting for her response.
"Lhia, are you alright? ", prince Rhuy asked worried, his sharp eyes slowly turned gentle.
Hearing Prince Rhuy question, Lady Lhia woke up in her deep thoughts. She look up first to Prince Rhuy then she look next to Lady Leona who is carrying little Shizuna in her arms.
She is starting to get suspencious of Little Shizuna. Is it really her imagination that little Shizuna is a bit stronger than an ordinary two years old child? Her hand which was hit by her is still hurting.
Is her slip and fell a while ago that save her from Lady Kharen's slap just a coincidence? Yes indeed, young lady Kharen is only 5 years old but everyone knew that she is far stronger than their ordinary peers. She might even rival young master Shinri in strength and fighting ability. Her only disadvantage is she's too impulsive and too hotheaded most of the time which affect her decisions. Besides, she started her training as far as she knew her. As General Lewis oldest daughter, it was expected to her. But the timing of the slap and Little Shizuna's sudden slip is too perfect. The timing didn't give young lady Kharen a chance to make another attack and little Shizuna already manage to find a suitable shield against Lady Kharen. And it was also surprising that young Lady Leona who always avoid meddling in anybody's business chose to act up today.
Why?? Why of all people in their table did little Shizuna chose to run to Lady Leona? Did she knew just by looking at her that Lady Leona can easily calm everyone and provide solution to mend this conflict? Even though everyone think that she is the smartest in their circle because his father is a higher rank strategist than Lady Leona's father, she knew better that Lady Leona is far smarter than her. Young lady Leona just chose to silently observe and choose her words wisely that makes her a little detached from everyone. With her mature way of thinking and solving things, everyone find it a little strange so they often seek solutions from her instead. But somehow, today was different as she chose to speak up to protect Little Shizuna.
Another suspicious thing is that young lady Shizuna chose to offend crown prince Rhen among all this people in their first meeting. Why of all people in this place did she chose to offend the crown prince?
And why out of all this people did she chose to state her likeness to prince Rhuy? Annoying and liking the twin prince of this Kingdom at the same time.
Besides, she knew that Little Shizuna did not intend to hit her hand. She saw that her sudden tap on her hand actually startled her. She did not intend to hurt her but why? Why is she not trying to explain herself? She chose to seek help to Lady Leona to speak up for her instead of explaining it herself.
She know that she might be just being paranoid and thinking too much about this but she just couldn't help it.
She look intently to little Shizuna's big and round golden red eyes trying to decipher the truth in it but what she saw is only innocence. It seems like she's just having fun , enjoying a play with everyone. Her bright smile can be seen in her face and a small giggle occasionally escape from her mouth.
Her small and round body frame showing no sign of rigidness or any tension at all. She's embracing Lady Leona's neck so dearly.
Noticing everyone is waiting on what she's going to do next, Lady Lhia can't help but open her mouth to say something. After all this conflict is between her and little Shizuna only, if this can be considered as conflict since this is actually a small issue only. If Lady Kharen did not attack impulsively, then there will be no conflict in the first place. Besides, little Shizuna is only two years old and might be unaware of what she's doing and what is actually happening here. As the older sister, she should handle this situation maturely with open mindset.
Lady Lhia opened her mouth to say that she's alright and it is not little Shizuna's fault. But before she could utter a word, she was cutted off by a small, cute and soft baby voice.
"I'm torry big titter" ,little Shizuna's sudden sputter showing her big puppy dog eyes. Her smile never left her face.
Hearing little Shizuna's apologies, Lady Leona and Lady Lhia finally smile. How can anybody resist such a cute little child. Lady Leona can't help but slightly pinch little Shizuna's round pinkish cheeks.
Young master Shinri finally sigh in relief, he's been really afraid for her dearest sister. He doesn't know what he could do if young lady Kharen successful hurt his beloved sister. He might cut his friendship with her without a doubt.
Seeing that everything is settled, General Hagris and General Lewis settled down, too. This sword exchange didn't bother them both at all. It's only normal for them so they are used to it. A friendly spar between general's often occurs after all.
