A few days had passed since I had thought of getting myself something to do. I had slowly been working on adapting the future version of fallout. Now, I had to purchase some small memory capsules, each costing roughly 100P, but I now had all of the games fresh in my mind.
My Act plan was a go. For this plan I would start implementing some more advanced systems. Here were my first picks:
Sandbox Building System- 10,000P
Semi-Complex Ai- 5,000P
Story-Tracking System- 5,000P
Hours were spent making this second Act, followed by the third and then the fourth. I had not wasted any time in completing all of them. Why waste time when I could be productive? That was my thought.
"I wonder if people will like it..." I sat at my desk tapping the table as boredom struck me once more. Making games was super fun and satisfying, but real life needed to be fun too. Being a girl that used to go out with her friends and girlfriend all the time, it was unusual for me to be stuck in a house for so long.
"Let's check the shop." I opened the shop app and began browsing.

Telekinesis stood out immediately as it was within my budget, thanks to the daily special, and it would be something cool to play with.
A lot of my favourite characters in comics and in the heroes of Earth were Telekinetic people. They were a staple of superpowers for good reason. Most of the time they were monumentally helpful and could provide massive protection or offense.
Chi Awakening looked appealing also, my mind leaping to the shitty fan fics from China that went on about taking out rivers with a single swipe of the finger. If that was what this was, then it was a steal. Unfortunately for me though, it was way over budget for me now.
'Looks like Telekinetic powers is my only option that doesn't suck and is cheap.'
I clicked on the 'Telekinesis Mutation(60,000P down from 100,000P) ' button on the shop and watched my points drop down to 10,000. Survival was still not an issue, but the siphoning of funds was a little heartbreaking.
' The bright side, me, is I'll be able to move stuff with my mind now!'
Once the purchase was made and the button was greyed out on the store there was an immediate bubbling in the pit of my stomach. Following that was the shattering stab of pain that coursed through the very cervices of my brain. Ringing sundered in my ears as my nose felt hot and wet, blood slightly oozing out over my upper lip as my eyes constantly tried to roll up into my head.
Each of my bones creaked in agony as my very marrow felt like live snakes trying to gnaw on my flesh. The hairs on my body all became alive, moving and gaining full feeling despite lacking veins to transmit such impulses. My spine cracked and popped, the noise sickening amidst the tolling ring within my eardrums.
'A-augh... Wh-what the fuck...?'
Blackness swallowed my awareness whole as unconsciousness took me thereafter. The last thing I saw being the approaching wood of my desk. 'uuuu-...'
...
In Cerebro...
Xavier sat at the base of a large spherical chamber covered in special metal alloy panels. Energy flickered through exposed pipes that connected to a metallic helm firmly attached to his head.
At this current moment he was scanning the world for potential mutants to aid and or save. This was a usual activity for the professor. He smiled as he watched his students play around with their powers, only to pivot to a nearby mutant who was psychically capable of manifesting and controlling energy to make violent weapons. His face scrunched momentarily as he sent a message to Colossus to go check in on this young woman and possibly recruit her.
He did this a few more times until he was close to resigning his duties for the day... That was the case, until he sensed a rather power psychic power coagulate somewhere. No pinpoint could be granted but this power was significant. Whether this was controlled or an awakening he could not tell, he did not even understand where this reading was coming from.
"Who could this be? Jean...? No, I doubt it, my blocks are in place. Dr Fate? Possibly, but I am usually able to detect his presence when he uses powers on such a scale..." Frowning, Xavier pulled the helm off and placed it on its tray, squinting as he stared upwards at the machine he and Magneto had made all those years ago.
'Should I plunge deeper towards that power, or leave it be...?'
Sitting and contemplating for several minutes the decision was finally made. No action would be taken against this power, his gut warning of possible backlash if he were to do so. Being as cautious and powerful as he was, he knew when to stop.
...
I woke up on top of my desk with blood lightly pooled at the edges of right cheek. Everything was fuzzy, confused, disorientated... As if someone had taken the gravity from Earth and lowered it by a multiplicative.
"Urrgghhhh... My head fucking hurts..." Groaning with pain I forced myself upwards with both arms, looking out across my apartment.
New sensations slithered over my brain as each object I gazed at for long was touched by something that I could feel. All of it was much like I had slid my hands over the exterior of the said objects. Blinking my eyes and straining to focus on the sensations I soon felt a distinct pressure form within my mind, which, when concentrated on, intensified the tensile textures felt with my brain of the objects around the room, namely the dishwasher.
'Is this my Telekinesis?'
The instant that thought percolated through my woozy mind the dishwasher rattled despite being off. Stepping up from my desk and walking over the image of a dishwasher floating was presented in my mind, like a present for Christmas. My eyes confirmed this image a second later as it was indeed hovering in mid air, just a few centimetres off of the hardwood floor.
'Was that purchase super OP? Or am I missing something...'
*DING*
Hearing the noise from my desk I swiftly returned and clicked on the new hint I had received.
{As this is the first time you have purchased a Mutation Ability, the system will explain...
- A mutation ability is not a capped ability based on Points spent. In opposition, the points grant the opportunity to activate a mutative gene of a certain type; in this case Telekinetic. Once it is activated, the power, use and broadness is all based upon the genetics of the user who has purchased said mutation. -}
"Wait, so that means that I could have gotten an ability as powerful as Mob from that one anime!?"
{Warning... Now that you have mutated, you will now show up as a 'Mutant', 'DNA-altered', 'Hybrid' or 'Non-Human' if there was detection used that could sense those aspects of yourself.}
"Right. Well... Since i can't get out of my apartment yet, not really a big worry for me..."
There was no further hints on my system as it merely showed Fallout increasing in number spectacularly. Spider had released his YouTube video of him fighting his way through the raiders. It had gone utterly viral from what my system was presenting me and my game was now getting hundreds of purchasers per minute.
Based on the telemetry from my system, I would pass 50,000 Purchasers within the week. 100,000 in a month and possibly 200,000 in three months... My game was imploding in popularity and this was only considering the current level of fame was constant... I intended to implement the other acts and then put in a ton of DLC from Fallout 4, 3 and 2. I even intended on making a small mobile game where you could create your own vaults and put dwellers in certain positions... All a part of Fallout as a whole; the phone game coming free if you had purchased Fallout and coming purely as a 2D experience, not a virtual reality one.
I divided the last 10,000 points I had in half and used 5k on all of the textures, resources, artwork, voice lines and storyline difference lists. After that I got off the system and ate some lunch, trying to use my newfound powers to eat...
It didn't go well at first, but after the first twenty minutes of attempts I finally understood how to lift small objects into the sky and guide them. The exertion wasn't even that intense. My hunger intensified slightly but that felt more akin to a lack of food and twenty minutes of teasing myself with the opportunity to eat.
'A few days from now I'll release the Acts update and then focus on my Telekinetic powers!'
Juice began dribbling down my chin as the succulent meat of the pork rib slid off the bone and into my mouth.
