The girl looks horrified, the one man that could save her life was shaking hands with her kidnapper and soon to be killer. She didn't cry, crying with your mouth taped will only make you suffocate more. But she knew, she has some more hours of life left. She won't be killed in a motel room, it's just too messy.
And that's what happened. Brian gave his truck's keys to Arthur. "The truck is parked behind the motel, bring it to the door. We will move her someplace else," said Brian. Arthur said nothing, he took the keys and went outside. He walked a bit and found the truck parked behind the motel walls.
Arthur looked at the truck, it was kind of rusty. He wondered how did Brian manage to outrun him that day. As Arthur got in and turned on the ignition the engine revved strongly. He realized that the rusty body was a camouflage, the truck was a race car from inside.
Just like its owner Brian, the boring pharmacy guy was so much more than he let the others see. Sitting in the driver's seat Arthur looked at his hands they have a few moments ago touched the hands of a serial killer. He thought about the handshake. Did he have a choice?
Then he drove the truck towards his room. He can still escape he thought. He can straight drive to the police station tell them that the Autopsy killer is in his motel room. But they will ask a question. What is the Autopsy killer doing in my room?
And if the police get him what is the assurance he will be prosecuted? He has not left a single piece of evidence yet. And he knows about my family, I can't let Nadia and Daniel be harmed. He stopped the truck in front of his room. He looked in the back of the truck, there was that carpet lying in there.
Arthur took out the carpet and carry it with him into the room. Brian smiled seeing Arthur with the carpet. "You are learning soon," Brain complimented. Arthur spreads the carpet on the floor. Brian holds the girl by his hands and Arthur hold the legs.
The girl twists and turns, giving as much difficulty as she can to her captors. Arthur loses his grip and the girl manages to kick him. Arthur groans in pain, "Aggrh" and sits down. Brian laughs, "Guess you got your first lesson, now get up quick. And roll her up."
Arthur presses the legs of the girl straight and starts to roll the carpet. The girl only stops shaking when Brian points the knife at her. Even when her death is imminent, the girl obliges for a few more hours of life. Arthur and Brian pick up the carpet and put it in the truck.
In the dark night, Brian drives the truck and Arthur sits by his side. Brian stops the car under a bridge. In the summer, the stream has dried up and small stones cover the river bed. Arthur and Brian unload the girl on the river bed. He takes the carpet and put it back in the truck and brings a handbag with him.
Brian opens the bag and takes out an apron, he hands it to Arthur saying, "wear it, or else your shirt will be ruined." Arthur doesn't understand why he needs an apron. It's Brian who will kill the girl. Arthur just wants to watch from a distance. But he wears the apron.
Brian then takes out gloves and a scalpel. He gives it to Arthur, "wear the gloves and start the work!"
"The work?" asks a confused Arthur. "Yeah, kill her. Give her a long cut from the gut to the neck. It's my signature. Hence, the name autopsy killer."
"But I'm not a killer, I'm just here to see you." Objected Arthur. "You said you wanted to learn," reasoned Brian.
"Yeah but…" before Arthur could complete his sentence, Brian said, "knowledge is always good first hand. Kill her"
Arthur took the scalpel, "I don't think I can do it." Arthur touched the scalpel at the girl's navel. The girl shook vigorously. Her heavy breathing made it difficult for Arthur to push down the scalpel.
Brian comes from behind; he holds Arthur's hand and presses down the scalpel in the girl's body. A stream of blood pours out from the girl's stomach. Her pink top turned crimson. The blood dropped on the dry stones. The girl was in so much pain, she screamed. Her tape came off.
She started crying. She looked at Arthur and yelled, "You are the biggest loser; I have ever seen in my life!" Arthur looks at her irritated, "what are you saying?"
"You are joining hands with this monster just because you want to write a book?" the girl cried in pain. She thought this would enrage Brian but he took a step back and showed no emotion. He just looked at Arthur and the girl.
"You deserve everything that is wrong in your life. I guess your family don't talk to you anymore. And they have done right. Because nobody should leave with a psycho and you are a psycho!"
This didn't go well with Arthur he grabbed the scalpel with both his hands and pulled it upwards. The girl's skin tore up from navel to throat and made a sound like somebody pulling the chain of a zipper.
Soon all the stones got drenched in blood. Arthur stepped back as the blood pool started to flow near him. Looking at all those organs was horrific. He could see the heart still beating. Brian took the scalpel from Arthur.
He stopped down and cut off the girl's heart. He holds it in his hands and squeezed it. Some blood came out. "What are you going to do with the heart?" asked Arthur. "I'll store it, I steal hearts of all my victims but the police never make this information public! The media call me Autopsy killer now, they will call me something else once they know about the missing hearts!" said Brian.
Brian put the heart in a jar. Arthur took off his apron and gloves and put them in a garbage bag. Brian put the bag in his truck. Arthur looked for the last time at the girl's body, looking like a ghost in the full moonlight. As if she will stand up and chase their truck for revenge.
Brian took the driver seat, "let's celebrate your first kill!" he presses the gas pedal and they went away leaving behind dust and a body.
