Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The trial of emotional turbulence

The garden in their home in London used to be the land of their love, with flowers blooming and grasses green. Roses and wild roses climbed on the old flower racks, and petals fell like snow in the breeze. But now, this beautiful scenery is shrouded in dark clouds, and the tense atmosphere penetrates every breath of air like a sharp arrow.

Antonio and Sofia stood in the middle of the garden path, and the flowers around them seemed to feel the oppression, shaking their branches and leaves slightly.

"You don't understand the situation facing the family business now. This is not an artistic adventure. Once it fails, the foundation of the family for generations will be destroyed!" Antonio's voice was slightly hoarse due to anger. His eyes were full of fatigue and anxiety. The veins on his forehead were slightly bulging, and his hands were waving in the air, as if he was fighting an invisible enemy.

Sofia's eyes were red, and tears were rolling in her eyes, but she stubbornly refused to fall. "You are too conservative. You only see the predicament in front of you, but you turn a blind eye to the opportunities I bring. Are my artistic creativity and business acumen so unworthy of your trust?" Her voice trembled a little, and her body leaned forward slightly due to excitement. She held a handkerchief tightly in her hand, as if it was her last line of defense.

"Your so-called opportunity is nothing but a castle in the air, a fantasy without foundation!" Antonio roared, his eyes were like torches, staring at Sofia, as if he wanted to force his views into her mind.

Sofia was deeply hurt by this sentence, and her lips trembled slightly, "How can you despise my ideas so much?" After saying that, she turned and walked away quickly, her high heels knocking on the cobblestones, like her broken heart crying.

Antonio looked at her back as she left, with mixed feelings in his heart, anger and regret intertwined. He knew that his words were too hurtful, but the burden of the family was like a boulder pressing on his heart, making him unable to think calmly.

Since then, the family has fallen into a cold war ice cellar. Sofia locked herself in the art studio, surrounded by piles of paint, canvases and unfinished works. She waved her brush as if she was fighting against the pain in her heart, and the paint splashed on the canvas wantonly, and every stroke was filled with her anger and confusion. The studio was filled with the pungent smell of paint, but she was unaware of it, immersed in her own art world, trying to use creation to forget the conflict with Antonio.

Antonio plunged into the reorganization of the family business, leaving home before dawn every day and dragging his tired body home late at night. His office was brightly lit all night, and documents piled up like mountains. He repeatedly discussed solutions with lawyers and accountants, and the phone rang one after another. Every decision was related to the survival of the family business.

When Alicia learned about their conflict, she rushed to mediate in a hurry. She first came to the art studio and saw Sofia's red and swollen eyes and haggard face, and she felt distressed. "Sophia, calm down and have a good talk. Don't let your temper ruin your relationship." Alicia gently held Sophia's hand and comforted her.

Sophia shook her head, "He doesn't understand me at all. I don't want to see him now."

Alicia came to the family business again and found Antonio in the conference room. He looked tired and his eyes were empty, as if he had lost his former vitality. "Antonio, it's not a solution for you and Sophia to continue to be deadlocked like this. You need each other's support." Alicia frowned and said.

Antonio sighed, "I don't have the mind to think about these now. The business has made me anxious."

Alicia left helplessly. She knew that both of them were angry and it was difficult to ease up for a while.

As the cold war continued, Antonio found some new clues in the investigation of the family business. These clues seemed to point to a mysterious force hidden behind the scenes. This force seemed to have been secretly destroying the family business. Are they related to the anonymous letter Sophia received before? This discovery plunged Antonio into deeper confusion and worry. He didn't know how to deal with this mysterious enemy, nor did he know how this would affect his relationship with Sofia. When Sofia was working in the studio, she always felt that someone was secretly watching her. This inexplicable uneasiness made her even more panicked. Whether their relationship could survive the test of this double crisis was still unknown, just like the foggy streets of London, where it was unclear where to go.
