"Hey, hey! We got some new blood here!"
"No, freakin' way, I know that ain't a Laurier I see!"
"Guys…please keep it down…"
"That guy looks funny, where is he from?"
"None of your business, now quiet down."
The students all wore the same cloaks as the two, Dante noticed there was a small patch attached to their cloaks showing the sign of zero stars like the projection from before. He sighed heavily as the thought phased through his mind that he'd be stuck with what seemed to be a pretty troublesome group.
He looked over to see Iris who fell to her knees in the doorway, clearly overwhelmed with fear and sadness that she got herself placed in such a rambunctious setting.
"Why me… why me!?" She whimpered as the sound of loud footsteps slowly approached from down the hall. The two stared down the darkness as the steps became louder and louder. Their eyes widened to see a familiar face entering the scene, as long silver hair shined elegantly amongst a taller figure's head. He stopped himself as he supported himself with his wand that acted as a walking stick.
"So there are two new students in my care…I see. Go inside and take your seats." He demanded as they both quickly made way to what seemed to be the only seats available. Stuck together once again, they looked away from one another as the other students laughed and snickered.
The professor then walked into the room and shut the door behind him. Seeing him in the class shocked some of the students as it seemed that he wasn't usually there.
"Wait a minute, you're our professor this year?"
"Aren't you usually working with the three stars?"
"Oh man, I don't have a good feeling about this…"
The man lifted his wand and pointed it at the small crowd within the room. Slowly a bright red beam began to grow as he spoke a small chant. A burst of mana like before appeared before him as words left his mouth again.
"Ignis Leo."
The sudden burst of fire surprised some of the students, causing them to fall back in their chairs as the image of a giant lion made of fire appeared in front of them. Brimming with heat, it made the students quiet down by the sheer force of the mana's energy filling the room. Dante was rather impressed with the display, as he was marveled at the display of Lion being made of fire, while Iris seemed to be having trouble as she held her hands against her head and panicked.
"I'm going to die in this class. I'm going to die!"
Her worries slowly grew as the Lion softly walked around the front of the classroom before it let out a loud roar. Causing many of the students to cover their ears like before. The professor stated and glanced at each student in the room before he spoke.
"My name is Professor Farrell Manor. I've been teaching at this academy for longer than most of you could even conjure a spell. Though with you being in this class, I'm sure that's barely something you can do."
The audible gasps of his gall to speak to the students as if they were the lowest of the low in school made them feel an intense disrespect and disregard coming from the professor.
"You don't know what we could do!"
"Yeah, don't just label us because of our stars!"
"You don't know anything!"
The sound of his wand hitting against the ground once more suddenly caused the lion to roar out loudly as he did before with the hawk. Shaking the smaller room with its energy alone, causing the students to silence their words at the sheer skill at work.
"You will be working to improve your skills to make sure you never have to see me in this place again. I was placed here due to your previous professor being moved up to the one star classes, so…the academy thought it would be best to have someone like me take the role of getting you all up to speed in your academic studies.
He sighed heavily as everyone sat quietly in intimidation. Dante watched closely with intrigue after seeing the lion slowly dissipate at the snap of the professor's finger. He then pulled out two sheets of paper and looked at its wording closely. His eyes squinted, making sure to be correct about what he was reading before staring directly at Dante and Iris.
The sudden state intimidated them as they waited for him to continue.
"You two are the new students that sadly got stuck here. How unfortunate, truly."
