His head dropped as he looked to the ground in defeat at the statement. Instantly picking it back up before realizing what was occurring. He instantly focused intensely on Dante with a burning stare.
"Are you my…rival?"
"Your what…?"
"Don't worry, I'll be prepared…to prove I'm better for her in the long run. Just you wait and see, as my name is Logan Spritegale and I'll be your eternal rival!"
"Huh…?"
Terra palmed her face in embarrassment as a loud chime stopped the chatter amongst the crowd. Its vibration shook the crowd before the buzzing from said chime stopped. Everyone covered their ears from the frequency and looked to the gate to see a few individuals standing atop a platform above it. It seemed to be made of roots from a mages spell. Four individuals donning the same crest Dante had seen before on the knight stood out to him.
"Hello everyone! Glad to see you all back, or if you're now attending….then welcome to Auradelle Academy!" one of the people said as they waved to the crowd, it was a woman with orange hair and a beautiful smile. She seemed to be the most cheerful of the bunch as the others stood and watched. She then pulled out a wand and held it up slightly before chanting a small spell.
"Summonoio~!"
A green spark lit from the tip of her wand, surprising the lot when a small green creature appeared out of thin air. It had foliage acting as hair and black beady eyes. It looks around before letting off a mass of mana, spreading amongst the students as small buds that sprouted and shot from the creature turned into flower petals of many colors, surprising most with a collective shock of awe. Students around Dante and his group began to bicker amongst themselves.
"That's Miss Melanie. She's the lead summoning teacher, and a total catch too!"
"I wish she would summon me."
"Dude, what does that even mean?"
"I stand by my statement."
She wore a big smile as both her and her creature bowed on her shoulder. She held up her wand and continued to speak out.
"This is one of the examples of the things you will be learning as you enter this academy, or continue your studies. My name is Melanie, but that's Miss Melanie to the lot of you! I'm so excited to have you all here! I can't wait to see you all walking amongst the campus grounds. Don't be afraid to say hello if you see me—!"
