Dante opened Xavien's door to see him fully dressed with his cloak. It looked brand new, as its colors were brimming a quality burgundy. He seemed to still be posing in the mirror like he did before. Trying to figure out which one looked the most natural before seeing Dante's confused face.
"Oh hey, you seem ready to go."
"You do too…"
"You took a little bit of time, did something happen?"
"One of the housemates talked to me for a little while."
"Which?"
"She had ears and a tail."
"YOU TALKED TO HARRIBELLE!?"
He gripped Dante's shoulders with an intense grasp he didn't know he was capable of. Dante's eyes widened as Xavien looked at him intensely. He had such intensity it seemed he'd be able to shake the room alone with the pressure he was emitting.
"No one ever speaks to her…nonetheless getting ready in the morning! I've only seen her a few times myself, and never have I gotten a word!"
"This seems to be very important to you…?"
"Yes it is Dante. Yes, it is."
"Huh, I wouldn't have known."
"Well now you do."
He rummaged through his stuff quickly before turning back quickly.
"You never got a cloak, did you?"
"Uh, no. I never got the chance to go get one."
"Why? I could've sworn—"
"When we went to the store to get some, apparently the stock had run out. Apparently there was an influx of students joining this year, so they ran out of stock…"
"I see…if that's the case…"
He continued to rummage until he caught a glimpse of an old uniform he'd owned. The cloak was an older model of their uniform, a bit tattered at places, but could be fixed pretty easily. He took a few items from his desk and quickly began to sew together the tattered pieces. He looked at Dante, measured him with his eyes and continued to work on the cloak until he finally finished. Dante looked in marvel at his handiwork, seeing the altered cloak being crafted in front of his eyes.
"You know how to sew! That's impressive!"
"Just something I picked up on over the years. It's good to have skills like this."
"You may just be right on that, Xavien."
"I know, now try it on."
He tossed the cloak over to him. Dante grabbed it out of the air and quickly placed it on himself. The fit was comfortable as he looked at himself in the mirror. The tatters were gone and stitched up nicely, the school's emblem was placed nicely on his chest, matching the one Xavien wore. Xavien stood back to admire his handiwork.
"Looking like a true academy student there. I made some modifications to make it more appealing for someone with your fighting style. Try moving around?"
"Sure thing."
Dante moved his arms around to test the movement. It felt natural, and unbothered as if the cloak was barely there. He smiled as he went to his bag and grabbed his arm wraps he received from Bernard, strapping them onto each arm. The sleek leather was perfectly molded to Dante's arms as he flexed them proudly. Xavien seemed impressed by the work of them and wondered where the old man could have gotten them made.
He then grabbed the locket and attached it to his belt buckle as Terra told him to do. He looked at it in the mirror and smirked, happy with how his outfit turned out. Xavien nodded as he grabbed his own bag and looked to Dante with determination.
