Chapter 6: A glimpse of Yesterday.
Immediately Aria stepped her foot into the university, everyone's gaze was on her. Some were gossiping right in front of her, not caring if she heard it or not. Some were positive, while the rest were negative.
But for some reason, she still held Andrew's hand. She felt more at peace.
"Hi!" Evelyn and Marble said. Aria smiled at both of them.
"How was your stay at Andrew's?" Anna said, as she looked at Aria with a little smirk on her face, giving her a cute aura. For some reason, she decided to wear all black, giving her a Wednesday look. She even played ponytail.
"Let's head to the cafeteria," Mikel said, as he approached the group. He was escorted by Antosia and Pristin. He was putting on a white top and on top his lavender jacket. He decided to put on earrings, giving him a bad boy look. All the students' gazes were on them.
"Okay, let's go," Mikel cut the silence, then they left.
The cafeteria was full of people, but their chairs were all ready arranged. "I and Aria will get food," Andrew said, as he gently grabbed Aria's hand.
Antosia looked at Pristin, he looked back at her. "You still haven't given me an answer to our first conversation," Pristin glared at her before turning to Mikel.
Antosia sighed. She knew he was the one who could lift this cause from her.
Not like her other members, she wasn't only a Parasite but the Zero Two, the world-known Parasite and her group was also the biggest group ever. Ever since they had entered Franxx, a bit of her memory and dreams were linking to Pristin.
As Aria walked alongside Andrew, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Pristin's gaze had left on her. It was as if she had seen him before, but couldn't quite place where. Suddenly, a faint memory flickered in her mind, like a whispered promise from a forgotten past.
Aria was walking with Pristin when she had a flashback.
Flashback
"Pristin, Pristin!" a little girl yelled, her small gown flowing around her. She tried to grab the boy's hand, who was a bit older than her. He gave her a cold look, startling the girl. Her green eyes met the boy's black eye, but his black eye was a little different than before. Then, he entered the car, and the car drove off. The little girl was sobbing.
End of flashback
"Ahh, my head!" Aria yelled, her grip on Andrew becoming harder. "Are you okay, Aria?" Andrew asked. "Please, let me sit," Aria said in a low voice, her green eyes looking full. He sat her down. "Wait here, let me get you water," Andrew said as he called his friends. It didn't take long before Evelyn met Aria.
Evelyn handed Aria a bottle of water, concern etched on her face. "Aria, what happened? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Aria took a sip of the water, her eyes fixed on some distant memory. "I...I think I remember something," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Andrew sat down beside her, his eyes locked on hers. "What do you remember?"
Aria's gaze drifted to Pristin, who was watching her with an unreadable expression. "I remember him," she said, her voice filled with a mix of emotions. "I remember Pristin."
Pristin looked at Aria, who was sitting there squeezing the water bottle. He leaned closer, trying to remember something, but nothing came to mind.
He didn't say anything, and the whole group was silent for a moment. Then, Antosia looked at Aria, her face expressionless. "Do you want to tell us what you recalled?"
"I can't," Aria said. "It was all blurry, and my head was in a lot of pain. The only thing I remembered was Pristin, nothing else."
"Only Pristin?" Mikel repeated, looking at her. "It's normal to hear any name, so don't worry. With time, it will become clearer."
"Class will start any time soon," Anna said, picking up her bag. The rest of the group agreed with her.
"Are you okay?" Marble asked Aria. "Or do you want to go to the sick bay?"
"Oh, thanks," Aria replied.
"I'll escort you to class," Evelyn said, picking up her bag.
As usual, all the students in the cafeteria were still watching them. They all walked out of the cafeteria together, then split up to go to their classrooms.
As Aria walked to her classroom with Evelyn, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Pristin's eyes had lingered on her for a moment too long. She wondered what he was thinking, and whether he remembered anything about their past together.
When they reached the classroom, Aria took her seat, trying to focus on the lesson. But her mind kept wandering back to Pristin, and the memories that seemed to be hiding just out of reach.
