The light, freezing breeze of winter weakly brushing against the girl's neck.
The pearly white moon hung high over the massive cityscape laid before her.
The sky which surrounded it completely emptied of stars, creating a void in which the pearl-like moon floated in the center of.
The soft winds slowly passing rocking her long, jet black hair as she stared at the moon, seemingly stuck still in the sky.
She held lightly held onto the steel bars behind her, freezing from the ice and snow which covered them.
She leaned forward, the bars nearing their limit, screws nearly coming out.
She took small movements to reach closer to the edge, till one foot dangled, the other barely on with only her heel holding her on.
The snow mixed with the weight pushed over the edge making her other foot begin to slip.
Slowly, her gaze began to drift from the pearly moon in the sea of darkness down to the snow covered cement below.
She slowly let go of the bars, ready for the hard ground below to welcome her into a place she could never imagine.
"Sorry…"
She spoke softly as she let go.
The descent to the hard, snow covered cement below had begun,
