Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 - Reports

[Report on the Descent of the Heretic God Baldur, Greenwich Assembly Compilation]

Baldur, also known as Balder or Baldr, a central figure in Norse mythology, is known as the God of Light, Beauty, and Goodness. Son of Odin, the ruler of Asgard, and Frigga, the Goddess of Marriage and Wisdom, Baldur stood out for his radiant beauty and immaculate nature, with a charisma and kindness that captivated and attracted all. His story is marked by a dark prophecy that foretold his death, an event that instilled an atmosphere of sadness and tragedy among the gods, and a fearful worry in his mother.

Fearing for the life of her beloved son, Frigga sought to protect him, obtaining promises and oaths that nothing within the Nine Realms would harm him. However, Loki, the God of Mischief, discovered an exception: mistletoe, a small plant that Frigga deemed too innocuous to bother with. Taking advantage of this loophole, Loki tricked Baldur's brother, Hod, into shooting a mistletoe arrow at him, a fatal shot, killing the God of Light with a shot to the heart.

The [Heretic God], Baldur manifested near the city of Bergen, Norway. He caused rampant chaos for an hour and a half before the intervention of the Sixth Campione, Adam Victory, who managed to kill the Heretic God and obtain his Authority.

There were no eyewitnesses to the battle, and even our satellites failed to perceive it. The region where it took place was covered by a dazzling light that prevented any documentation of the battle, so we do not know how it occurred and which Authorities the Sixth Campione, Adam Victory, used.

According to information provided by the Sixth Campione, Baldur's manifestation is due to experiments by mages on a grimoire belonging to the God Loki, the famous trickster who was responsible for Baldur's death in the myth.

[Report on the Authority "Invulnerable Body" of the Sixth Campione, Greenwich Assembly Compilation]

In Norse mythology, Baldur's greatest attribute was his legendary invulnerability. Thanks to the actions of his mother, the Goddess Frigg, Baldur was invulnerable to anything in the world—with the exception of mistletoe.

The Authority obtained by the Sixth Campione from the Heretic God Baldur was his legendary invulnerability, manifesting as golden runes that emit a light surrounding his body. This light seems to nullify any attack that comes into contact with it. It is unknown if it has a limit to how much it can withstand—if it follows what is portrayed in mythology, then this Authority is as close as possible to true invulnerability.

Despite this, it seems that the [King] Adam Victory can still be pushed back by shockwaves, although any attack attempting to do harm is nullified by the runes, including attacks from several Heretic Gods, even from the God King class.

In contrast, it has been noted that this Authority is extremely exhausting to use, preventing the Sixth Campione from participating in prolonged battles. It is unknown if he retains the weakness to mistletoe, but it is quite possible.

[Report on the Descent of the Heretic Gods Perun and Iddun, Greenwich Assembly Compilation]

In Slavic mythology, Perun is the supreme god of the pantheon and the god of sky, thunder, lightning, storms, rain, law, war, fertility, and oak trees. His other attributes were fire, mountains, wind, iris, eagle, firmament, horses and chariots, and weapons. The supreme god in Kievan Rus' during the 9th and 10th centuries, Perun was first associated with weapons made of stone and later those of metal.

The main symbols of Perun are the axe, hammer, arrows, stone, and the Golden Maces. He is the Slavic equivalent of the Greek Zeus, the Norse Thor, and the Indian Indra. Enemy of the Underworld God Veles, Perun also carries the characteristics of a Steel Hero.

.

.

In Norse mythology, Idunn is a goddess associated with apples and youth. She is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In both sources, she is described as the wife of the skaldic god Bragi, and in the Prose Edda, also as a keeper of apples and granter of eternal youth.

Goddess of Spring and Youth, Idunn was the guardian of the Golden Apples that grant immortality to the Aesir Gods.

.

.

The descent of the [Heretic Gods] Perun and Idunn was recorded near the city of Bergen, Norway, a few hours after the death of the [Heretic God], Baldur.

A terrifying event, the descent of three deities from the Realm of Myths, something that had only occurred 80 years ago with the manifestation of the Three Weather Gods of China, who were hunted and killed by the Oldest Campione, Marquis Voban.

According to information granted by the Sixth Campione, Adam Victory, Idunn's manifestation is due to Loki's grimoire, the same reason for Baldur's manifestation. Possibly the goddess Idunn felt Loki's presence and manifested seeking revenge, as the Trickster God had already kidnapped her in their myth.

Perun descended seeking revenge against Idunn for stealing his glory. Originally, the main symbol of Perun was the Golden Apples, symbols of divine power, but the subsequent conquests of the Norse peoples led the Golden Apples to be associated with and become a symbol of Idunn, degrading the image of the King of the Gods.

Both Heretic Gods were killed by the Sixth Campione, Adam Victory, who was in the region, shortly after the descent of both.

The absurd feat of killing a total of 5 Heretic Gods in just two weeks, the fastest ever recorded, makes the Sixth Campione the one with the most confirmed god kills in the new generation.

The Fourth Campione Alexandre Gascoigne has only two—the Fallen Angel, Ramiel, and the Furies of Greek Mythology.

And John Pluto Pluto has three—the Aztec demonic deity Tezcatlipoca, the Greek Goddess of the Hunt Artemis, and the Fairy King Oberon.

.

.

.

Despite the deaths of these deities, the Authorities usurped by the Sixth Campione have not been confirmed.

Presumably, Perun's Authority would be similar to Marquis Voban's [Trio of Weather], or related to Perun's Steel Hero aspect.

The Authority usurped from Idunn may be easier to surmise, as Idunn was a goddess associated with healing. While this may not seem as powerful as a warrior's Authority, it is certainly potent, similar to Madame Aisha's [Live or Die] Authority.

But Idunn's main association was the Golden Apples; it could be the most lackluster or the most dangerous Authority, coming from Idunn's primary domain—Eternal Youth.

If what this Authority grants is simply incomplete immortality, then it can be considered trivial, a waste of an Authority. A Campione already receives longevity upon their rebirth as a King, although they will eventually die. An incomplete form of immortality, while keeping the bearer young forever, doesn't yield notable advantages over the form granted upon ascension to Campione.

If, however, this Authority grants complete immortality...

Then Earth may be doomed to suffer under the reign of an indomitable Tyrant for the rest of eternity.

[Report on the Authority "Weapons of the Lord of Light" of the Sixth Campione, Greenwich Assembly Compilation]

Although the initial assumption was that the Sixth Campione inherited only one Authority from the Celtic God Lugh, this was in fact premature, as during the battle against the Heretic Gods Idunn and Perun, the Sixth Campione demonstrated another Authority.

Through the testimony of mages who were at a distance, the Sixth Campione was able to use light itself to attack, shaping it into different weapons and attack modes—although it can be presumed to be an Authority of Baldur, it is more certain to think it belongs to Lugh, Celtic God of Light known for his mastery of various weapons.

The ability to use light to attack, being able to solidify it into any weapon, capable of clashing with divine weapons, brings overwhelming versatility and power to the Sixth Campione.

It is unknown if, due to obtaining more than one Authority from Lugh, any of them possess a limit or condition.

Almost three months later.

France, Bordeaux.

The city of Bordeaux exudes charm and elegance, where history and modernity intertwine enchantingly.

On the banks of the Garonne River, the city reveals itself in a dance of light and shadow, with its cobblestone streets and light stone facades that tell stories of past centuries. The aroma of wine and the warmth of inviting cafes permeate the air, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and vibrant.

The Place de la Bourse is the beating heart of Bordeaux, where the magnificent "Miroir d'eau" reflects the classical architecture, creating a mesmerizing spectacle at dusk.

It's a place where lovers embrace and friends share laughter, where the shimmer of the water merges with the warmth of feelings.

In the heart of this enchanting setting, a charming building rises, reflecting the classic French style. The interior is cozy and well-decorated, where every detail has been carefully thought out to create an environment that exudes comfort and elegance. The room has walls painted in a soft shade of cream, providing a feeling of warmth and tranquility. A large impressionist painting adorns one of the walls, capturing the essence of nature and bringing an artistic aura to the environment.

In the center of the room, a double bed, with a light fabric canopy that falls gently from the four corners, invites rest. The covers, in a deep blue tone, contrast with the white pillows, which seem to promise a restful sleep. A large window opens to a breathtaking view of the city, allowing the morning light to filter through the space, illuminating the room with a soft glow. The curtains, made of a light and flowing fabric, dance gently with the breeze, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

In the corner of the room, a comfortable armchair, upholstered with a soft fabric, awaits moments of relaxation, while a small bookcase filled with books on history and magic reflects the curiosity and intellectual interest of its occupant. The air is impregnated with a light scent of lavender, bringing a sense of peace and serenity, as if the space lived in harmony.

On top of the double bed, Adam woke up with a strange feeling, a soft weight on his body that made him open his eyes slowly.

Sunlight filtered through the curtains, creating a soft and welcoming atmosphere.

He stretched, trying to remember the events of the night before. There was a certain peace in his heart, a peace he didn't often experience in his life as a Campione, filled with training and the pursuit of knowledge.

When he finally turned over, he froze. Lavinia Reni, his assistant and a powerful witch, was lying beside him, a vision that captured the essence of sensuality and vulnerability. Her fair skin glowed under the soft light coming in through the window, creating an almost celestial glow. Her blonde hair fell in messy waves over the pillows, accentuating the delicate shape of her face.

She wore only a large shirt, unbuttoned, leaving her delicate shoulders bare and revealing a subtle part of the curve of her breasts. The light fabric clung to her silhouette, outlining her shape provocatively. The way the shirt slipped over her soft skin suggested more than it hid, provoking a latent desire in anyone who observed her. Her white panties were visible.

Lavinia's eyes, even closed, exuded an innocence that contrasted with the sensuality of her body. Her lips, full and pink, were slightly parted, as if ready for a kiss, and the soft breath escaping them seemed almost like an invitation. Her cheeks, slightly flushed, gave her a dreamy and irresistible appearance.

Every movement she made, even while sleeping, was a subtle dance that revealed the grace of her femininity. The air around seemed heavy with the electricity of the moment, and the exhalation of her perfume, a soft mixture of flowers and something ineffably hers, enveloped the environment.

The bed, with its crumpled sheets, seemed to have been the scene of a deep dream, and the sight of Lavinia there, so vulnerable and yet so powerful, awakened a protective impulse in him, mixed with a burning desire.

The sight of the girl clinging to him was something that would steal any man's soul.

Adam stared at her sculpted body. Finding Lavinia in his bed almost naked was practically routine—as if it were natural.

He struggled to remember how she had gotten there. The last thing he remembered was being alone in his room, reflecting on his three months since fighting Idunn and Perun, which he spent training and reading to acquire knowledge, and then he fell asleep.

Lavinia always had an innocent and carefree way about her, oblivious to her own beauty and the effect she had on the men around her. He admired that characteristic in her; he could enjoy quite a sight every day. What kind of man would complain about that?

He tried to move, but the movement only caused her to snuggle closer, wrapping an arm around his chest and a leg around his waist.

The sensation was warm and comfortable, but it wasn't very good. His heart beat faster, and he could feel a certain fire in his abdomen...

The sight of her body covered only by his shirt, which was unbuttoned, exposing part of her fair skin. It was a sight that could make any man lose focus, but he was stronger than that, wasn't he?

He took a deep breath and decided he needed to wake her. "Lavinia, Lavinia..." he called, his voice soft so as not to startle her.

"Hmm? My King?" She murmured, opening her eyes slowly, as if emerging from a deep dream. "What are you doing in my bed?"

Adam couldn't help but smile at her confusion. "Your bed? This is my bed!" he said, trying to maintain his composure and not make a scene.

"Eh? Why is your bed in my room?" she asked, rubbing her eyes with an adorable gesture.

"It's not. This is my room... and before you ask, that's my shirt." He pointed to the garment she was wearing, which was clearly his.

"Huh?" She seemed genuinely confused, as if she wasn't the least bit aware of the situation.

"How did you get here?" he asked, trying to make sense of it all.

"I..." She put a finger to her cheek, striking an adorable thinking pose. "I think I got up to go to the bathroom... then I was feeling cold, so I wore the shirt that was hanging there and came to sleep. It was warm here."

Her answer left him speechless.

"That's all?"

"Hmmm." She nodded, with an innocent smile. "You feel warm and cold at the same time. It's a pleasant feeling."

He watched her, perplexed. "Is that right?"

"Yes. Why, don't you like to cuddle?" she asked, and Adam noticed a glint in her eyes that made him feel a mixture of discomfort and happiness.

Was that it? Was she interested in him? He couldn't understand. What was she doing? His mind was a mess.

Deciding to play along, Adam smiled and said, "Oh, I like to cuddle. Usually, when I cuddle at night, I get a nice goodnight kiss before that."

"Oh. I didn't know that." She replied, leaning in and, before he could react, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek. "There you go." Lavinia smiled, her expression pure and sincere.

He tried to process the situation, but confusion took over him again. Lavinia snuggled even closer to his side, closing her eyes again, and within minutes, her breathing became even. She had fallen asleep.

Adam lay there, watching her, fighting against the wave of thoughts that invaded him. Was it really a joke? What was happening between them? He knew he should get up, but her presence was comforting.

To distract himself, he looked at the ceiling, thinking about how he had ended up in this part of France. Lavinia wanted to visit this city, and they ended up staying in this hotel, which was quite famous for honeymoon couples. It was all her arrangement and her idea; he had given her free rein to decide anything. She had proven very helpful, so he gave her this reward. From what he knew of her, Lavinia was born in Italy and spent her entire life training and studying to become someone strong under her grandfather's supervision, so she didn't know much of the world.

In the end, he decided that, for now, he would leave things as they were and closed his eyes, allowing himself to relax in her company.

When Adam woke up again, Lavinia was already up, seemingly unconcerned about her lack of clothing. She was admiring the view from the window, her long blonde hair shining in the morning sunlight. The scene was so ethereal that he almost forgot he was there, watching her.

"Good morning, my King," she said, without turning around, her melodious voice filling the space. The way she referred to him always made his heart race.

"Good morning, Lavinia," he replied, slowly getting out of bed. He couldn't help but admire her beauty, how she seemed so natural and yet so divine.

She turned around, and Adam noticed that she didn't seem embarrassed to be almost naked in front of him. Instead, there was a light in her eyes that made her beauty seem even more radiant. He remembered how much he had admired her voluptuous and slender figure in recent months, but now, with their closeness, the admiration was turning into something deeper.

"Do you mind if I take a shower first?" Lavinia asked, smiling, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

"Of course, go ahead," he replied, trying to avoid staring, but it was difficult. The image of her remained etched in his mind.

While Lavinia prepared for her shower, Adam got dressed and decided to make breakfast. He moved skillfully in the kitchen. The apartment they had rented had everything a couple could need on their honeymoon or something like that, including a kitchen, although they could also opt for the hotel service.

He preferred to cook on his own; his authority [Master of a Thousand and One Skills], combined with the experience he had as an orphan who had lived alone since childhood in his past life, helped him reach the peak of what was possible in this matter. While cooking, he thought about the peculiarities of the life he led.

Being a Campione, a Godslayer, was the most incredible thing that had happened in his life.

He was grateful every day for the opportunity to come to this world, and he was excited about every bit of progress he made in getting stronger and fighting various enemies.

He was stirring the eggs in the pan when Lavinia came out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel that barely covered her body.

The sight left him momentarily speechless. Lavinia had this way about her that made even the most everyday situations seem magical.

"Can I help?" she asked, with a mischievous smile, her eyes shining with curiosity.

"If you want, you can make the coffee," Adam replied, trying to maintain his composure. "I'll take care of the eggs."

She approached the coffee machine, and as the aroma of fresh coffee began to fill the kitchen, Adam allowed himself to observe Lavinia more closely.

She was so graceful in her movements, so full of life. He admired the way she seemed to lose herself in simple things, like making coffee, with a look of concentration that left him speechless.

"So, my King, what are your plans for today?" she asked as she poured the coffee into two cups.

"I'm going to train as usual, read a little, and then take a walk around the city," Adam said casually.

"Can I go with you?" Lavinia asked, her gaze hopeful.

Adam thought for a moment. When he arrived in this world, he wanted to do everything alone while his subordinates took care of preparing things for him, so he rarely took Lavinia with him on his journeys to various places. He let out a sigh and said, "Of course, you can accompany me."

After preparing breakfast, they sat at the table.

Adam reflected on how much he had changed since coming to this world. The best thing he had done was to leave everything behind and desire strength. He had become a Campione, and now he had power, fame, wealth; he was basically a true King. Something he had always dreamed of while lying in that hospital bed.

He didn't notice Lavinia's gaze, which held a smile as she looked in his direction.

After having coffee and getting ready, they headed to the [Millennium] facilities, a modern complex located north of the city, something the organization had purchased for him to use as a training ground during his time in this city.

Adam and Lavinia walked side by side, and he couldn't help but notice how she radiated energy.

As soon as they arrived, Adam said goodbye to Lavinia, who stayed reading a book on magic while he went to train alone in the field.

She watched her King train diligently with a mixture of admiration and affection that grew with each passing day.

When they met, three months ago, he was just a Campione, a legendary warrior, shrouded in mysteries and challenges that seemed distant from her everyday reality. But as the weeks turned into months, her image of him changed profoundly and intensely.

At first, Lavinia was impressed by Adam's strength. He had a magnetic presence, a confidence that made him almost unbeatable. Every time he entered a room, the energy shifted, and people turned to him, drawn by the aura of power that emanated from him. Lavinia saw this with respect, but also with a certain distance. He was a man who faced gods and monsters, while she saw herself as just an assistant, a witch in training.

However, as they spent more time together, Lavinia began to notice deeper layers in Adam. He wasn't just a warrior; he was a young man carrying something he hid behind a mask of a perfect king.

In moments of relaxation, when they shared stories, Lavinia saw a sparkle in his eyes that wasn't just determination, but also longing and loneliness.

There was something about him that touched her, something that made her want to get closer and closer.

The conversations they had during breakfast became moments that Lavinia eagerly awaited. She remembered a specific day when Adam had shared a story from his childhood, an account that revealed not only his struggles with being abandoned by his parents—something she could sympathize with, since her parents had also abandoned her, but not by choice like his—but also the struggles that no one remembered he had to go through.

As time passed, Adam's small gestures began to have a significant impact on Lavinia's heart. The way he looked at her, as if he truly saw her, not just as an assistant, but as someone who had value in her own right, made her feel special. She remembered the times he encouraged her to practice spells, his words of support always filled with patience.

He never treated her as inferior; instead, he always considered her a partner, someone by his side in the fight against the forces that threatened their world.

There were also the softer moments that touched her deeply. The mornings he surprised her with fresh coffee and a warm smile, or the nights they sat together under the stars after a long journey through various countries.

With each look that lasted a second longer, Lavinia felt her heart open wider. She found herself daydreaming about him, imagining a future where they could fight side by side, face challenges, and experience moments of joy together.

Unaware of the girl's thoughts, as Adam trained, he couldn't prevent his thoughts from wandering to Lavinia. The way she watched him, always with an encouraging smile, made him more determined.

Lavinia was in the observation area, talking to other members of [Millennium]. She seemed so at ease, and Adam realized she was admired by many. Her beauty didn't go unnoticed, and he felt a little possessive, a feeling that surprised him.

During a break, he went to her.

"How are you doing?" he asked, trying to hide what he was feeling.

"I'm fine! I was talking with some witches about protection spells. I want to learn more so I can help you better," Lavinia replied, her enthusiasm evident.

"That's great. Knowledge is a powerful weapon," Adam said, admiring her passion. "If you need help, let me know."

They spent the rest of the morning between training sessions, with Adam giving his all and Lavinia absorbing everything.

Later, they took a walk around the city. It was a sunny afternoon, perfect for exploring. They walked through the charming streets, talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

"Did you know that the Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 World's Fair?" Lavinia said, pointing to the famous structure.

"Yes, I read about it in one of the books you recommended," Adam replied, laughing. "You always have these curiosities at the tip of your tongue."

Lavinia smiled, her eyes shining with joy. "I think that's part of my charm," she joked, striking an exaggerated pose.

Adam couldn't help but laugh. "Definitely. You are a true Goddess of knowledge."

As they walked, they passed a square filled with flowers and street artists. Lavinia stopped to admire a painting an artist was working on. The beauty of the art and the intensity of the color seemed to reflect the joy and energy she brought to his life.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Lavinia said, looking at Adam with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Yes, it is. But nothing compares to you," he replied, and regretted it as soon as the words left his mouth. The compliment was spontaneous, but he wasn't sure how she would react.

Lavinia looked at him with a mixture of surprise and happiness, and in an instant, the world around them disappeared. Her gaze made him feel that there was something deeper between them. He wanted to know how she really felt, but hesitated to ask.

"Let's get some ice cream?" Lavinia suggested, breaking the awkward silence.

"Sure," Adam replied, relieved to have something to do. They went to a nearby ice cream shop and ordered their treats.

As they savored the ice cream, Adam realized that the light and fun atmosphere between them was creating a safe space for deeper conversations.

"Lavinia, have you ever thought about what you want to do in the future?" Adam asked, as he watched her smile widen as she tasted the ice cream. He was curious about the dreams and aspirations she held for herself, beyond her current role at Millennium and as his assistant.

"What is it, my king? Are you afraid I'll stop serving you?" Lavinia joked with a slight smile.

"You got it..." Adam said with a deadpan expression.

"Not funny~" Lavinia paused for a moment, thoughtful. "Actually, yes. I want to become an extremely powerful witch, capable of protecting those I love. I want to use my knowledge and skills to make a difference. But, on the other hand, I also feel like I want to explore the world, meet new cultures and people. And of course, I want to continue by your side, my king..."

Her sincerity made Adam's heart race.

"And you, my king. Why did you become a Campione? Was it something you always wanted?" Lavinia asked curiously.

"Definitely, I'm living a dream now..." Adam said without hesitation in his response.

The two talked a little more before continuing their walk.

As they walked, Adam thought about how their relationship had evolved. He didn't just see her as his assistant; she was an essential part of his life now.

After the walk, they decided to visit a small bookstore that Millennium had bought and asked their subordinates to stock with books on magic, a cozy place filled with old and new books. It was a perfect refuge for the two of them, and Adam knew Lavinia would love exploring the shelves.

As soon as they entered, the aroma of aged paper and fresh coffee enveloped them. Lavinia began to move through the shelves, her fingers gliding over the spines of the books, as she murmured to herself about the works she recognized.

Adam watched her, admiring the way she lost herself in books. It was as if the world around her disappeared, and she was in her own universe.

"Do you remember what I said about wanting to learn more about protection spells?" Lavinia asked, pulling a book from the shelf. "I think I found something that can help me."

"Great!" Adam replied enthusiastically, walking towards her. "If you need help understanding anything, I'm here."

Lavinia smiled, her eyes shining with the excitement of new discoveries. "You're always there for me, Adam. I really appreciate that."

They spent the afternoon browsing books, discussing spells, stories, and even some ancient legends. At one point, Lavinia picked up a book about ancient gods, and the conversation quickly turned to the very challenges Adam faced.

"Being a Campione facing the Heretic Gods," Lavinia asked, her tone curious. "What do you feel when you're about to face them?"

"How do I feel?" Adam smiled slightly as he replied, "I feel amazing, I can't accurately describe the feeling. But it's as if I was born for this..."

Lavinia looked at him with complex emotions flickering in her pupils. She said, "Is that a Campione thing? As expected of those considered Foolish Children, I wouldn't have the courage to face a Heretic God like you, my king..."

Adam smiled slightly, thinking about how the frustration he felt lying in a hospital bed, weak and debilitated, had culminated in that foolish act. He was now grateful for it—because he was truly having the life he had always dreamed of while reading the pages of manga and novels to kill time.

"Should you be talking to your King like that?" Adam said playfully.

"Hmph!" Lavinia huffed and said, "Bloodthirsty King, you look like a bully who loves picking fights..."

Adam chuckled at the comparison; her words touched his heart in a way he didn't expect. Since becoming a Campione, everyone had been afraid of offending him. There was no one who treated him as casually as Lavinia, and he hadn't expected to miss that one day.

They continued the rest of the afternoon at the library before leaving. They returned to their hotel room.

Once in the room, Lavinia excused herself to take a bath. Adam sat on the bed, reflecting on the lack of [Heretic Gods] appearing in the past three months. He was starting to feel a bit bored, as spending his days just training and reading was something that would bore anyone, especially since his progress was slow. He had reached the peak in all matters due to his authority.

When Lavinia came out of the bathroom, the sight of her in one of his large shirts, her hair still wet, made his heart race. "What are you thinking about?" she asked, noticing his gaze.

"Nothing too specific..." Adam replied honestly. He looked at her and gave a slight smile. "Now I'm thinking about your perfect body..."

Lavinia blushed slightly at his words. She smiled, a smile that warmed his heart. "You could have taken a bath with me, my king. You would have had a better view..."

Her words left Adam speechless. He knew she was bold; in fact, he never understood her exact intentions. They always confused him—was she feigning innocence or was she innocent? Was she feigning boldness or was she bold? Did she like him or was she playing games?

The girl approached, and before he could say anything, she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. The touch was electric, and he felt as if the whole weight of the world had disappeared.

She quickly pulled away, her face slightly flushed. "This is your goodnight kiss, my king..."

After saying this, she quickly went to the other room of the apartment/hotel room they were in.

Adam looked at her retreating figure and sighed as he lightly touched his lips. She was truly a complex figure he didn't quite understand, but he liked her.

A slight smile appeared on his lips as he walked towards his bed to sleep.
