Chapter 30 - Chapter 030: The Scenery of Liyue

The three of them created three points of light, and under Morax's lead, they flew toward the direction of Liyue.

It wasn't long before the three returned to the sky above the Liyue territory.

Vorthis casually waved his hand, removing the transparent barrier set over Liyue, and then smiled at Guizhong.

He spoke to Guizhong, "Sister Guizhong, the city below is Liyue, the territory of both me and Morax."

The God of Dust, Guizhong, nodded.

Her gaze swept over everything within Liyue's territory.

She noticed that the architectural style of the buildings in this city was completely different from that in her own domain.

The buildings in Guizhong's city were built with practicality in mind, focusing only on wind resistance, cold protection, and sheltering from the rain, with no concern for aesthetics.

The people did not care about making their buildings more visually appealing.

However, the buildings in Liyue were different. Guizhong could tell that although the buildings varied in design, they all originated from the same architectural style.

These buildings combined practicality with the unique charm and beauty of their architectural style.

"These buildings are so beautiful! I've never seen such a style before. It must be a style unique to Liyue!" Guizhong praised.

Morax responded, "It's all thanks to Zennos's guidance. Without him, Liyue wouldn't have come to look like this."

It turned out that this architectural style was entirely the creation of the God Manifestation Zennos, Vorthis.

Guizhong laughed and said to Vorthis, "Haha, so it was designed by you, Vorthis! Truly deserving of the title 'Master Architect.'"

Guizhong remembered when Vorthis had boasted to her about being an architectural master.

Now, it seemed he wasn't boasting at all—he truly was an architectural genius!

"Really? Then let's go! I must show you around, Guizhong! Let me give you a tour of Liyue Palace, which was designed by this master architect myself!"

"Liyue Palace is the palace where Morax and I reside," Vorthis introduced to Guizhong.

Seeing someone appreciate his architectural masterpiece made Vorthis feel overjoyed.

He could finally give a proper introduction, unlike that stone... who understood nothing about art?!

Vorthis grabbed Guizhong's hand, smiling brightly as he led the God of Dust, Guizhong, toward the direction of Liyue Palace.

Morax followed behind, watching the two childlike individuals, suddenly feeling like his head had grown two sizes larger.

When they arrived at Liyue Palace, Vorthis had fully manifested and constructed the palace according to his imagination, blending it seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

The outer walls of Liyue Palace were made of finely carved white marble, with a roof covered in glazed tiles. The tiles were meticulously arranged, giving the entire roof a graceful arc.

The palace also perfectly integrated with the natural landscape.

With a little drifting white mist, the entire Liyue Palace would appear even more ethereal and mystical.

Guizhong looked around, and from the genuine smile on her face, Vorthis could tell that Guizhong really liked this Liyue Palace.

Guizhong smiled and said, "Vorthis, you're amazing! In my opinion, the title of 'Master Architect' doesn't suit you anymore. You should be called the 'God of Architecture!'"

Hearing Guizhong's praise, Vorthis chuckled.

'God of Architecture? No, no, no, I don't want to be called that. It sounds too... much. What if, in the future, people constructing buildings have to first worship a statue of me and burn incense before they start working?'

Cough... Vorthis would rather not take that role.

So, he was content being the "God of Feather."

"God of Architecture? Sister Guizhong, you overpraise me!" Vorthis smiled and continued, "Don't be fooled by the high level of architectural art here. The materials used are all earthly objects. I believe that with the wisdom of the common folk, with time's refinement, they will one day be able to build such majestic and beautiful palaces too."

Guizhong thought about it. "Yes, those small, fragile humans do have their own wisdom and strength."

She believed that what could not be achieved through strength could always be accomplished through wisdom and technique.

She hoped that one day, the small people, who had once been under the protection of the Gods, would rise above that protection and stand tall on this land using their wisdom and technology.

But she knew, this would be a distant future.

Guizhong nodded in agreement, saying, "Yes, I believe so too."

"I believe those small people will one day use their wisdom and technology to achieve such accomplishments."

"Yes, I believe so too! Not just me, Morax thinks the same!" Vorthis smiled at Guizhong and said.

Did Morax really think the same way?

He had immense power, and I have great wisdom. We share the same vision...

Guizhong felt even more eager and hopeful about the alliance with Morax and Vorthis.

Perhaps, they would really see the future they had envisioned.

As they chatted and laughed, Vorthis continued to lead Guizhong through the courtyard of Liyue Palace, explaining the meaning behind each landscape feature.

Of course, many of the meanings were just things Vorthis had made up based on the characteristics of the scenery.

He wasn't actually an expert in Eastern-style architecture.

As the creator of the Teyvat continent's Eastern architectural style, Vorthis could claim any meaning he wished for his designs.

Did you understand, God of Feather? Or should I explain it better?

Hmph!

"This pavilion was also here before the new Liyue Palace was built, but it was constructed by Morax," Vorthis began, "And there's something especially interesting about it."

"When we first met, Morax and I had a conversation here in this pavilion, and the wine set on the table had square cups and a square wine pot."

"I wonder what Morax was thinking when he made such angular, square wine vessels."

Vorthis and Guizhong sat in the pavilion, and he reminisced about the past.

Square, angular wine pots and cups?

Immediately, Guizhong imagined what they must have looked like.

Although they might be uncomfortable to hold, they were still usable, right?

Guizhong probably understood now why Vorthis said that Morax didn't understand art. It seemed the square cups had left a deep impression on Vorthis.

Guizhong smiled and said, "That just shows that Morax, the God of Geo, is a practical God."

"For him, an item just needs to fulfill its purpose."

"That's true. But, Sister Guizhong, have you ever thought that maybe Morax just doesn't understand art?" Vorthis nodded, then added, "Haha, there is indeed that possibility."

High emotional intelligence: A practical God.

Low emotional intelligence: Doesn't understand art.

Guizhong smiled but didn't speak. Her relationship with Morax wasn't as deep as Vorthis's, so there were things Vorthis could say that she couldn't.

Perhaps, after the alliance, things would be different.
