What looked back at him was a pitch black behemoth of a man, with metallic like skin and scales around certain areas. His hair stark white with black sclera and piercing red eyes. He had pointy slightly elf like ears and two pairs of large black horns. Some parts of his body even seemed to be armour like.
His actual face seemed pretty human, even more human than regular Qunari, it was just his body that was more mutated rather than his face. An interesting development. Though not one he's upset about if he's being honest.(Images in comments)
He cracks a smile
"I'm a fucking badass."
'How the hell am I testing my strength though, I mean I destroyed multiple trees with a punch before I got this upgrade. If I did it now who knows what would happen.'
'Hmm, I guess I'll just live in that cave for awhile and live day by day. I need to acclimate to my new strength, body, and memories after all.'
'Speaking of memories, what name am I going by now? I don't think Vince Vice is fitting for this world, or what I now am. Hmm, well my dragon age character was named Ashaak Adaar, and I have his actual memories now. So I guess that's my new name.'
He announces the name, testing how it feels on the tongue
"Ashaak Adaar….."
a smile slowly blooms across his face
"Yeah, I like the sound of that."
And so a period of adjustment was about to commence, though it seems that something is being forgotten.
The smile slips from his face
"The puke…"
"…"
"Fuck."
——
A crackling fire roasting a corpse till its burnt black, the smell of charred flesh wafting through the air. And a man gleefully watching it happen.
Yes that's right, Ashaak is cooking a rabbit.
'Man this body sure is great, don't need to worry about parasites or anything. Though I still preferred cooked food to raw, and it's still weird how I like my food burned to shit now. Think it's thanks to the fire gland or something.'
Ashaak picks the coal like rabbit up and places the entire thing in his mouth, eating it in few bites.
'Time for another one, though the fires dying out again.'
He picks up a few twigs laying next to him and places them in the fire. He then takes a breath in, seemingly preparing something
Ashaak breathes out, but not a breath. No, a small flame escapes his mouth, once again making the campfire burning intensely.
The next thing to happen to Ashaaks mouth is for it to smile
'I'll never get tired of doing that. Fire breath is great, best part is it isn't even a magical ability. Good ol' gland in the throat shoots it out, I think it's in the throat at least.'
'I remember reading something about some special Qunari called Adaari being able to breathe fire but I had assumed it was a magical ability, hence my surprise when I found out I possessed it.'
A chuckle escapes his lips as he remembers when he burped and a fireball shot out and nearly started a forest fire.
Luckily he can now control his flames and their intensity. For the most part at least, he still can't get them weak enough to not turn his meat into literal charcoal; Hence using the campfire.
'I also heard that Adaari were not resistant to their own flames nor any flames even when possessing a literal fire gland. Something my pure bloodline has rectified, I'm damn near immune to flames. Might actually be immune to em, haven't been around a hot enough fire to tell…'
He throws the next rabbit directly on the fire.
'Man oh man were those memories useful, huntings a breeze with them.'
A wry smile adorns his face
'Well now they are'
A memory of him going to snatch a rabbit but gripping so hard that it exploded flashes by.
'It took awhile to get used to this strength huh, I still haven't tested out my full power though. Haven't been in a fight yet either, it'd be nice to test all this Kung fu shit out.'
'How the hell am I gonna have a good interaction with somebody anyway, anybody with sense would run for the hills if they take a glance at me. Even if my body's obscured I'm big as shit.'
That's right, Ashaak was massive. He has no idea how tall exactly, but he knows that Qunari on average are seven to eight feet tall and he knows he grew at least two heads taller after he took the bloodline purifier.
So assuming he was seven feet before he's at least eight feet now, likely taller. Not to forget that Qunari are also have a much wider skeletal and muscle structure, so it's no exaggeration to say that he's literally double the size of a average man. Probably more than double, pure muscle at that.
So yeah, being lowkey isn't really possible for him unfortunately.
*sigh* 'the struggles of being a unit.'
He pops the now black rabbit into his mouth and yet again finishes it in a few bites.
He then lays against the wall, being sure to stay close to the fire; taking pleasure in what would be a scalding heat for a human.
'….'
'I need to leave soon. I can't stay here forever, if someone sees me and screams bloody murder so be it. I'm not gonna be a fucking recluse, now that I'm mostly used to my body I have no more excuses to stay here.'
'A cloak would still probably be a good idea though'
He continues to rest his eyes and mull over his plans, until…
Ashaak abruptly sits up, eyes alert
'What, what is that? It feels…dangerous? What feels dangerous?'
He continues frantically looking around, body tensed.
'….'
'Oh shit! Is this my sixth sense? I mean it's gotta be right, well I'm just gonna assume it is.'
*sniff* 'I can smell it now too, whatever it is. It kinda smells like…a dog?'
