Chapter 1 - chapter 1: Fallen hero

The wind howled through the ruins of the city, carrying away ash and shattered fragments of dreams. The cries of the dying echoed like a dark melody, testifying to the desolation that had fallen upon this once prosperous world. In the midst of this chaos, a figure stood motionless, his cold gaze fixed upon the dark sky.

Once known as the "Hero of Light," Yami Saito was now a mere shadow of his former self. His appearance had become terrifying, with the flames of vengeance burning in his eyes. His hair, dark as night, flapped in the winds of hell, and his once-shining armor was now stained with the blood of those who dared oppose him.

A year ago, everything changed when Yami, then a college student, was summoned to this world as a hero. He fought monsters, protected innocents, led armies, and defended the kingdom from enemies. But behind this heroic appearance, there was always an emptiness, a gap that nothing could fill. His growing power only heightened his loneliness, and every victory left a bitter taste in his mouth.

It was then that he discovered the truth. He was nothing more than a tool, a sacrifice after his role had been fulfilled. The gods of this world were cruel and manipulative beings who manipulated his life for their own amusement. They played with his destiny, breaking his heart and shattering his hopes.

The ultimate betrayal came from the one he loved. Aria, the princess of the kingdom, and his lover were always promised to someone else. When he learned that she had betrayed him for a political alliance, Yami fell into darkness. Pain turned to rage, and this rage unleashed a power he had never suspected.

He gave up the title of hero and embraced darkness. The power he had tempered with morality became an instrument of destruction. He drained the life energy of his enemies, damning their souls to eternal torment. Forbidden magic, once reserved only for the greatest of magicians, now served him like an obedient servant.

Yami was no longer a hero. He had become the master of the abyss, a being who could control life and death, a being feared by all, including the gods.

The night covered the battlefield like a heavy, oppressive blanket. The flames of the destroyed village danced in the distance, casting strange shadows across the devastated land. But Yami paid little attention to the sight of the ruins. His mind was focused on one goal: to take revenge on the gods who had torn his life apart.

"Yami... What should I do now?"

A soft, melancholic voice interrupted his thoughts. He turned to see the priestess Lilia, whom he had rescued from the clutches of the demon sect. Her red eyes were filled with admiration and devotion, but also with a deep sadness that reflected her tortured past. She was one of many women Yami had gathered around him, each marked by tragedy, each thirsting for vengeance like he did.

"Continue," he replied coldly, his voice sharp as a blade. "It is time for these gods to pay the price for their arrogance."

Lyria nodded and stepped back, leaving her master to meditate on his dark thoughts. Around him, other figures emerged from the shadows, all powerful women, all bound together by a complex mixture of yami, desire, hatred, and dependence. Together, they formed a powerful force, a harem of tortured souls ready to do anything to please their master.

But as they prepared to continue their quest for destruction, Yami could not shake off a growing sense of unease. It was a dark feeling, as if someone, something was once again toying with his fate. But this time, he was determined not to be anyone's puppet. If the whole world had to ride to set him free, then so be it.

---

The air crackled with vivid energy as Yami Saito stood on the edge of a cliff, looking down upon the valley that had once been a prosperous kingdom. Now it was a wasteland, twisted and corrupted by the unimaginable power he had unleashed. The sky above was a whirlwind of otherworldly colors, a chaotic mix of red, purple, and black that defied the natural order. The ground beneath his feet vibrated with an eerie glow, as if the very fabric of reality was struggling to hold itself together.

Yami not only defeated his enemies, he erased them from existence. With a thought, he broke the laws of space and time, reduced entire armies to singularities, and erased their existence from the records of history. It was a power that no mortal, or perhaps even a god, should wield, but Yami no longer cared about the limits of morality or reason. He was a force beyond comprehension, a being capable of twisting fate, reshaping worlds, and commanding the very elements of creation.

Lyria watched silently beside him, her admiration evident. She witnessed Yami's transformation from a bitter and vengeful soul into something far more terrifying. The other members of the twisted family, each with their own powers and tragic stories, shared her admiration and fear. They were bound to Yami not only by loyalty, but by the overwhelming force of his will.

"Yamisama," Lilia began hesitantly. "With this power, we can change the world as we see fit. Even the gods will tremble before us."

Yami's cold eyes turned to her, the depth of his power reflected in dark, abysmal hues. "The gods," he repeated, a mocking smile on his lips. "I will do more than make them tremble, Lyria. I will bend them to my will, or I will destroy them."

As he spoke, Yami raised his hand, and the air around them began to sparkle. He delved into reality itself, searching for the thread that held the world together. It was a technique he had discovered after using forbidden knowledge, one that allowed him to manipulate the very essence of existence. With a flick of his wrist, the landscape before them began to move and change. Mountains collapsed, rivers flowed backward, and entire forests rose from the wasteland.

Lilia gasped, clutching her chest as she felt the overwhelming power emanating from her master. "Yamisama... You are not only changing the world. You are remaking it."

He nodded, satisfied with his work. "This is only the beginning. The gods who have toyed with us will learn the true meaning of power. They will learn that if I control fate, there is no escape from it."

As the newly reshaped landscape took shape, other members of Yami's inner circle approached. Each was drawn to him through a mixture of fear and desire, their lives twisted by the cruel hand of fate. A once noble witch cursed to immortality, condemned to watch everything she loved wither and die. Her hatred for God was matched only by her burning desire for Yami, who promised to end her suffering.

There was a former knight who was betrayed by his comrades and left to die in a world where honor meant nothing. He swore loyalty to Yami, and his once shining armor was now stained with the blood of those who harmed him.

And finally, there was the priestess who lost her faith when the gods she worshipped failed to save her village from destruction. She turned to the dark arts, and though her once pure soul was now corrupted, she found solace in Yami's unwavering faith.

Each of them possessed powers that reflected their own tragedy, abilities that would make even the gods wary. But even their combined power was nothing compared to Yami's power.

"Yamisama," said Zoid. His voice was a mixture of respect and fear. "What is our next step? The world will not stand still while we remake it."

Yami turned to his disciples, his gaze scanning them with a mixture of pride and calculation. "Our enemies are many, and they will come at us with everything they have. But they are fools if they think they can challenge me. We will use their own power against them, summoning beings of myth and legend, and destroying the foundations of their world."

He reached into the void, calling out a name that those who knew the ancient texts would whisper in fear. "Azazel," he uttered, his voice resonating with the power of command. "I summon you from the depths of Ars Goethia. Come forth and serve your new master!"

The ground shook and a circle of crimson light appeared before Yami, its edges forming intricate runes. A figure engulfed in dark flames began to rise from the center of the circle. Azazel, the demon of forbidden knowledge, emerged from the depths, his eyes burning with the light of hell.

"Who dares call me?" Azazel's voice was deep and growling, filled with malevolent intent.

"Yes," Yami answered calmly, his voice unwavering. "I am Yami Saito. I am the one who will remake this world. You will either serve me, or be destroyed."

For a moment, the demon hesitated, narrowing his eyes and examining the one who dared to command him. However, the power emanating from Yami could not be denied, and even a demon of Azazel's height could feel the overwhelming power binding him.

"Understood… Very well, Yami Saito," Azazel finally admitted, bowing his head. "I will lend you my power. But know this: The army you oppose is not to be taken lightly. The gods will not sit idly by."

Yami's smile was cold and triumphant. "Let them try. They will learn that even their divine powers are nothing in the face of the true master of the Void."
