There was a forest, it's branches thick with secrets. Where the cherry blossoms bloomed in the silence of the night. Few went there, and fewer returned unchanged. In the depths of this forest. An omega sought refuge hiding from a truth he feared.
His name was unknown even to him self, for he had lived his life in shadows fearing the inevitable.
He learned early to conceal the scent that marked his nature, the trait that bound him to others in ways he could not control. A life of solitude was safer than the alternative to be claimed or be forced into a bond he didn't choose.
It was there, beneath the canopy of blossoms, where he found solace. The moonlight bathed him in its silver glow, and he would often stay there for hours, staring at It's soft light, letting it ease the weight of his heart.
It was his only peace, his only home. He thought no one would ever find him here, and so he was content, lost in the beauty of the moon.
But fate has a way of shattering even the most fragile moments.
One night, as the air hung heavy with the scent of wine and rosewood, he saw him..... leaning against the moon itself. A figure adorned with black robes and cloaked in darkness. His eyes glowing with the fire of a world beyond light. He was a creature of the night and his mere presence sent a shock to the Omega's very soul.
He felt a feeling so rare, a feeling he thought he'll never feel. And it was Instant and consuming, though the omega did not yet know the name of this forbidden feeling.
His heart, long hidden in the coldness or solitude, began to beat again. Only for a creature who was not meant to be his.
The world, however had already chosen it's path. The forest trembled with ancient warning, and the gods themselves watched. Knowing that no love could survive the union of light and darkness. It was forbidden, the Omega could not belong to the creature, and the creature could never belong to him.
But what the gods willed and what the heart desired were two very different things.
In the stillness of the forest, their paths crossed. A love not meant to be, destined to be torn apart by forces greater than both. As the moon rose higher, it's silver glow casting long shodows across the earth, the Omega stood at the precipice of a choice.
One step forward would lead him into the unknown, into the arms of the one he loved. But the price of that love was steep, and the world.... perhaps even the gods themselves would make sure that no love born of light and dark could flourish.
So they walked together for a while, caught in the web of fate, only to be stolen away from each other, just as they had found one another.
