"Kenji Kobayashi" that's my name but my parent and friends call me ken. I'm 17 years old and my life long dream is to be a professional surfer.
I just finishing graduated from high school and I have no interest in anything other than surfing.
Ever since I was a little kid I saw someone surfing on the television and from that day on I took a liking to surfing.
It's my dream to ride on those huge waves one day and someone approach me one day and I had hope that my dream would come true until a talk to my parents about it.
Let's go back about two days ago when my friends and I were walking through the mall because one of my friends wants to buy a new game console and wanted me to try playing video game but I always telling them "I have no interest in playing video games" but they always trying to convince me.
Anyways while walking through the mall a short girl approach us and handed us a flyer and the flyer reads "welcome to the grand opening of our new surfing camp" when I read it I feel like I was over the moon but I know that my parents would be very difficult to convince (especially my mom).
So I think about a way to convince them and let's forward back to present day and I try to convince my parents so hard to make me go to the surfing camp.
My dad said "he's old enough so you can go..."but my mom cut him off and replied "oh no no no no no no you're not allowed to go to no surfing camp. you're going to a university and study to be a doctor and that's final" I know my mom was going to say no so I come up with an arrangement with her I said "mom if go to the surfing camp for one year and if I don't any competition I will do as you say and go to university to study to be a doctor".
My mom looks intrigued and said "ok then" wow I didn't know that would've work but it did so the day of the grand opening of the surfing camp has arrived and only me and ten other students came to sign up so the instructor/owner of the surfing camp came over and he introduced himself to us "my name is souta igarashi I'm one of the instructor and owner of this surfing camp and I'm looking forward to teaching you guys" he said to us and he called a girl's name and she came running from inside the camp with forms and he introduce her too "this is Sakura igarashi and she's an instructor and also my daughter".
she walked towards us handing us the form for us to sign and when she came to handed me the form I got a good look at her face and realised that she's the same girl that was handing out the flyers in the mall and I take the form and fill it out and handed it to Mr souta and he look at the form and look at me with a shock look on his face and said "oh I never would've thought I would get see this name again" I was said in my head "wait did I do something wrong or I'm in trouble" but the instructor take my hand and said " I'm going to teach you everything I know" I dont even know what's happening now.
