Kara got into her mum's car. She cried and hit the steering a lot of times. She had failed.
She then started the car and zoomed off.
On the road, she remembered the accident that took her life.
She started experiencing trauma as she recalled the cause of her death and didn't see the incoming vehicle in her front.
When she noticed, it was too late. She screamed. Suddenly, a bright light shone in between the cars and an invisible hand turned the steering wheels of her car.
Kara looked up; she had dodged the vehicle. She burst into tears and said "God, I am sorry!".
Kara went back home and met her mum in the living room pacing.
"Kara, I thought we agreed to come back early. It's eleven pm Kara". Nareen yelled but she paused. She looked at Kara's outfit. It was obvious that Kara had had sex at the party.
Kara not knowing what to say as no human being right now could understand her situation, ignored her mum, ran to her room and locked her door.
Kara wept for a very long time and finally slept off.
The next day, Kara skipped school. "Honey, what happened? Are you being neglected because of your change?". Nareen asked with deep concern.
"No mum. I'm just tired". Kara replied and lay back on the bed.
At school, news spread about what happened at the club.
The news finally got to the church group. "Hah what has gotten into her? Is Jesus coming already?". Rebecca asked.
"Rebecca that is enough. I have decided that we would visit Kara after school". Hannah announced to her group.
They all exchanged glances at each other.
"Hannah! Christianity don't make us low-lifes!". Rebecca yelled.
"Well then if you were so brave Becca, you would have said something when people talked shit about us. So please do as I say. We will visit Kara. It's possible that God has touched her again and we need to complete his work by displaying love. Am I the only one who reads the bible here!". Hannah asked and moveid into the class.
At the school's cafeteria, Becky, Kelvin and Todd were at a table analyzing Kara's attitude last night. The most confused one among them was Todd.
"She obviously missed me". Todd told Becky and Kelvin.
"Well, that doesn't matter anymore. She called us trash and has been behaving weird lately. I think she wants to cut off from us. I mean, college is by the corner". Kelvin replied with disappointment.
"Kelvin stop blaming yourself. We are not her friends anymore and it's high time we accept it". Becky said as she peeled her banana.
"Where is Iris?". Todd asked but none of them replied.
