Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 : Episode 15 – Inhuman

Four years back when the air felt fresh and the sun bathed a farm, in golden light Lucias strolled along a dusty trail. In the distance lingered the laughter of a boy barely audible yet vaguely recognizable. The voice seemed known but muffled as if whispered by a breeze too gentle to convey its meaning.

"Lucias!" exclaimed the boy with an lively voice that carried from afar.

Lucias glanced around him searching the fields for the origin of the sound while a sense of unease mixed with curiosity weighed on his heart without a reason why. The voice echoed louder and clearer on its second call.

"Hey Lucias come this way!"

As he moved nearer to the source of the noise. The sound faded away into a quiet hush instead of silence enveloping him instead as the suns warmth diminished and the sky darkened as if hinting at an incoming storm making him pause mid step with a sense of unease creeping in before the scene abruptly changed.

The faint laughter was gone, replaced by gasps of fear. He stood in the middle of a barn now, the dim light filtering through cracks in the wooden walls. Around him were people—his friends—staring at him with wide eyes. But their expressions weren't of happiness or relief. They were filled with terror.

"Lucias, stop!" one of them shouted, their voice trembling.

Lucias blinked, his breathing heavy. He looked down at his hands, and his heart dropped .He staggered back, looking at the others, but they only moved farther away.

"What's the matter?" he whispered, his voice shaking.

Then he heard it—the sharp gasp of his mother. He turned to see his parents standing at the barn entrance, their faces pale, their eyes wide with shock.

"Lucias…" his father's voice broke. "What…did you do?"

The words struck him like a hammer. He tried to explain, to say something, but no sound came out., and the scene was swallowed in a blinding light.

Back to the present, Lucias fists clenched as he stood tall.

Across from him, Tazer stood, his twisted form radiating malice. His crimson eyes locked onto Lucias with predatory intensity, his grin widening as his aura flared like a living flame.

"Raghhhhhh," Tazer growl. "I'm gonna break you!."

Without hesitation, Tazer lunged forward, his clawed hand slashing through the air with lethal precision. Lucias met the attack head-on, his hand glowing with blue energy as he deflected the strike. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the ground.

Lucias countered with a quick punch to Tazer's liver, sending him skidding backward. Tazer smirked, brushing dust off his chest as if the attack were nothing.

"HAHHAHA," Tazer said, his voice dripping with mockery. "Come at me!."

He charged again, faster this time, his movements faster . Lucias barely managed to block the onslaught . Each strike from Tazer was heavier, more ferocious, but Lucias held his ground, his determination unwavering.

"You so loud," Lucias muttered, his eyes narrowing. He ducked under a swing from Tazer and delivered a sharp uppercut that sent his opponent reeling.

Tazer recovered quickly, his laughter echoing through the battlefield. "I like this side of you, Lucias. Makes destroying you much fun."

He unleashed a powerful energy wave, the crimson blast tearing through the air. Lucias raised his hands, blocking the force. The force pushed him back, his feet digging into the ground as he struggled to hold his defense.

When the blast subsided, Lucias charged forward. He landed a series of precise strikes, each one pushing Tazer further back. But Tazer wasn't easily deterred. With a roar, he slammed both fists into the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Lucias flying into a nearby wall.

Lucias groaned, his body aching, but he forced himself to stand. He wasn't going to let this monster win.

"You amuse me." Tazer said, his grin widening. "Until death do us part. " Tazer smile wider.

The battle raged on, their movements a blur as they clashed again and again. The ground beneath them cracked trying to withstand the sheer force of their fight. Each attack was met with an equally powerful counter, neither of them willing to back down.

Tazer's grin twisted into something more sinister as his energy spiked. "Let's crank it up a notch," he growled.

Lucias didn't flinch. He stood his ground, his glowing hands ready. "Bring it," he said, his voice steady.

Tazer lunged again, his speed and power amplified. Lucias met him head-on, colliding in a burst of light that lit up the battlefield.

The large monitor in the Stargent war room flickered, displaying the clash between Tazer and Lucias. The room filled with murmurs and hushed discussions. Kara stood beside the Director, her arms crossed.

"His form…" Kara muttered, watching the screen as Tazer lunged at Lucias, his strikes relentless and devastating. "He's completely not human now."

The Director sat at the edge of his chair, his eyes glued to the screen. He rubbed his temple. " Anger and excitement let him break his limits, and that makes him more dangerous."

"But can Blue eye kid handle this?" one of the analysts in the room asked.

The Director didn't respond immediately. Instead, he took a deep breath and leaned forward, his voice firm. " We're asking him to go up against someone who has completely transcended humanity. We need to trust in him, but we must also prepare for the worst."

Kara turned to the Director. "If He loses, there's no stopping Tazer. He'll move on to the next target—this base and Primary base."

The Director nodded grimly. "We've mobilized containment teams, but they won't be enough. Right now, all we can do is hope."

At the battlefield, Lucias crouched low. His breaths came in sharp gasps as he stared across the rubble-strewn battlefield at Tazer, whose form now resembled something inhuman. Tazer's glowing red eyes burned like fire, and his body radiated a dark, malevolent aura that seemed to glitch the very air around him.

Tazer growled, his voice guttural and inhuman. "I thought you wanted to end this sooner."

Lucias wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his legs trembling slightly. Despite the intense pressure, he forced himself to smirk. "Don't get so full of yourself."

Tazer snarled and lunged forward, his fists swinging in a blur. Lucias barely managed to sidestep, his hand flare with blue energy as he countered with a precise punch to Tazer's ribs. The impact sent a shockwave through the area.

But Tazer didn't falter. Instead, he grinned, his jagged teeth bared as he grabbed Lucias by the arm and slammed him into the ground with a thunderous crash. "Is it Hurt ?," Tazer sneered, his voice dripping with malice.

Lucias groaned, struggling to rise as Tazer loomed over him. He rolled to the side just as Tazer's fist came crashing down, creating a crack where Lucias had been moments before.

A few yards away, hidden behind an overturned truck, a teenager held his phone up, broadcasting the fight live. His voice trembled with excitement as he narrated to his viewers.

"Bro, Y'all? This isn't some Marvels CGI—it's happening right fuxxing here, in front of me!" he exclaimed, his breath shaky. "There's this guy with a some kind of blue eye, and… I don't even know what the other thing is! It looks like a not so human kind of thing! This is insane!"

The chat on his livestream exploded with comments:

"The end is near!"

"What's the movie called!"

"Nowadays AI can deceive us just like that."

"Fake I seen it before."

The teenager hesitated, glancing nervously at the battle before slowly creeping closer, his phone still recording. "I'm gonna try to get closer. Stay tuned, guys."

Mia was just arrive to her home, when her classmate called. "Mia, open the link I gave you," her friend said excitedly. "This a live video trending right now. It's out of this world."

Curious, Mia opened the link her friend sent. Her screen filled with the live footage of the battle. Her eyes widened as she recognized Lucias's glowing blue energy and determined expression.

" Lucias…" Mia said.

Her chest tightened as she watched Lucias struggle against Tazer. The blue glow surrounding him flickered, showing how much he was straining to keep up.

"He said he found the answer," Mia muttered to herself, recalling her last conversation with Lucias.

On the screen, Lucias took another heavy blow, skidding across the battlefield before managing to steady himself. Tazer's laughter echoed through the feed, sending chills down Mia's spine.

"Come back safe, Lucias," she whispered.

Lucias dug his heels into the ground, sliding to a stop as he regained his footing. He wiped the blood from his mouth and glared at Tazer. "You know what's funny." he said, his voice steady despite his exhaustion.

Tazer tilted his head, curious. "Oh? What's that?"

Lucias clenched his fists, his blue energy flaring ."From this moment on." Lucias watch Tazer as he smile. " Your beating start right now."

Tazer chuckled darkly. "Good. you disappointed me if it's not."

With a roar, the two clashed again, their energies lighting up the battlefield like a wave. Above them, the sky seemed to swirl with the opposing forces of red and blue, a reflection of the intense battle unfolding below.
