Chapter 6 - An Apprentice

-This seemingly perfect world has a wicked and corrupt core, due to the unification of the countries everything seemed to have been solved, there was "Equality" for the first time in history, or so we thought...since the world was now "Equal" the corrupt heart of humanity found another way of discrimination.-

-Instead of discrimination through races, the world was instead separated into two, the "Pure Bloods" and the "Half Bloods", Pure bloods were people who came from prominent clans and were descendants of the First Generation, Pure bloods are generally stronger and more powerful than Half bloods who got their powers artificially...-

The professor continued to talk for another 30 minutes or so, yet instead of the students falling asleep their eyes were wide open they gazed in amazement.

The teacher stopped talking for a moment.

'Are these guys even listening to me??'

The teacher facepalmed in disappointment as he continued his lesson.

Jin yawned as he stood guard beside the teacher, the bags in his eyes could clearly be seen, Jin was trying his best not to doze off as the murmurs around him slowly got distant.

The teacher sighed in disbelief as he glanced at Jin beside him, Jin was there to scout students and the staffs thought it would also be a good way for the students to pay attention, what they didn't expect though was that it went the complete opposite.

Jin glanced towards the students as he appraised them using the Eyes of God, Jin's eyes bolted around the room as he scanned the student's abilities, his eyes barely open.

'I finally managed to upgrade Eyes of God after getting an enhanced silver key, my new ability is being wasted on these guys though...

'Pure bloods are stronger my ass, these guys are all worthless their abilities are too combat focused...they should be more versatile, like Half bloods that got their powers directly from a monster.'

Jin thought as his face became seemingly more and more irritated.

"Teach where are all the other students?"

Jin said as he interrupted the class.

"Ah Mr. Jin these are the best students in this school, so uh..."

The teacher answered awkwardly as he dodged the question, he forced a smile as he faced Jin, Leading Jin to become even more irritated.

"I asked where all the other students are!"

He said with increasing anger.

"Tsk"

'If it wasn't for the system giving me this stupid mission I would be catching up on sleep right now...'

2 days ago at the Jin's house

Jin was eating when suddenly the system popped up, the sudden event startled Jin as he dropped his food on the floor, His face showed visible anger as he clenched his fist tightly.

[Congratulations! You have been assigned with your first Random mission!]

{Mission: Scout a Level 6 superhuman using the Eyes of God, Time limit: 72H}

{Penalty on Failure: Halved stats for 7 days}{Rewards: Exp, (2x) Gold Key, "Guaranteed" Common Key}

Upon hearing this mission Jin's anger subsided as his face turned dull, his eyes became lifeless as he read the mission, He pinched himself on his cheek as his face went from dull to total shock.

"WHAT!?!"

"A level 6 superhuman?? Are you serious!? Do you even know how rare level 6 superhumans are??"

Jin facepalmed as he gritted his teeth.

'I've been losing sleep since then looking for this damned level 6, and I even had to wear a damn suit in this heat...'

"So? Are you gonna answer me or just stand there?"

Jin said with an impatient tone, as he glared at the teacher's eyes.

"Ah I'm sorry but the other students here are Half bloods...you won't find them appealing..."

Upon hearing this Jin couldn't hold back his laughter, his voice echoed throughout the room.

"HA! How ironic your lesson was about the discrimination between the pure bloods and half bloods yet you're acting like this?."

The teacher was in utter shock and disbelief as his words couldn't come out.

Jin said before he stormed out of the room and went to the classrooms to look for the level 6 superhuman himself.

'I know I could just ask the staffs here to tell me if there's a level 6 superhuman here but they'll likely lead me to another spoiled brat from a clan.'

As Jin was walking through a hallway in the school he met a student that piqued his interest.

"Hm?"

'Is that kid cutting class?'

Jin thought to himself as he approached her.

She looked around her surroundings suspiciously as if she had done something wrong, yet not once did she notice Jin.

'I guess my stealth is still way above that of a superhuman...'

Jin followed the girl as he observed her closely.

As the girl was walking she felt a strange presence around her, but as she looked around no one was there.

'I must be imagining things.'

She thought to herself meanwhile Jin was right behind her, as Jin monitored the girl closely he decided to appraise her using Eyes of God.

'What am I even expecting...this girl is quite peculiar though, it seems like she's looking for something, but she's not checking the rooms.'

As Jin used Eyes of God he was surprised by what he saw.

{Stats}

Name: Emilia Rošetear

Sex: Female

Age: 16

Race: Half-Blood Superhuman

Superhuman Level: 5(Sealed)

|Author here from this point on I'll be changing the "Status" part to be more detailed and accurate.|

'A half blood with a family name huh...and her level is sealed yet the system already classified her as a level 5??'

Jin had a slight grin as he observed Emilia more closely, the peculiarity the girl had, made Jin curious about her even more.

And without noticing it Emilia had gone into a secret room as Jin followed him instinctively not even noticing his surroundings, upon entering the room it unveiled a beautiful garden.

The room was filled with flowers including the walls as the flowers covered it, the ceiling had flowers too as the room completely felt like a different world than the outside.

This caught Jin's attention as he felt a beautiful aroma piercing his nostrils, and not only that he felt the mana around them being denser than before.

'This must be a mana garden! What a surprising discover.'

Jin said as his curiosity towards Emilia grew even more

"System if I scout this girl does it count? Even though she's not currently a level 6?"

[It...does.]

As soon as Jin heard the system's answer...he revealed his presence, and as soon as he did this the girl noticed him as she jumped back wary of him.

'Huh? This is new...a normal kid around her age would've been startled, yet she immediately put her guard up.'

Upon noticing who Jin was Emilia calmed down as she bowed her head to him.

"I apologize Mr. Jin I didn't know it was you, ah Mr. Jin since you know this room could you please keep it a secret?"

She said with a mischievous look as she waited for Jin's answer.

"Ah, it's nothing I was curious as to what a student was doing here when class is still ongoing, you can stop bowing now, you don't need to be so polite to me."

Jin said with an awkward smile as he scratched the back of his head.

'Now that I think about it it seems like not a lot of civilians know that I lost my powers...the moment those hunters reveal anything about me I'm going to make them regret every being birthed into this world.'

Jin said as he had a clenched fist and an Infuriated look on his face, he completely forgot about Emilia

"Hm? Mr. Jin are alright?"

Emilia asked with a curious tone.

"Ah, don't worry I'm fine...by the way I wanted to ask you, would you like to be my apprentice?"

After hearing Jin's words the girl was visible shocked, on the media Jin had said several times that he would not take an apprentice unless absolutely needed.

The girl stood there for a moment before finally saying something.

"A-are you serious?!"

She asked in disbelief as her eyes widened.

"Yeah? Look if you need time to think about my offer you certainly can but you have until tomorrow at..."

Jin checked the time left for his mission.

{Time Left: 18H}

"6 A.M"

The girl thought about Jin's offer for a few minutes until she finally answered him.

"I'd like to accept now..."

The girl said with confidence.

"Oh? That's even better, come with me let's meet your headmaster...from this day on you're dropping out of school."

Jin said with a straight face as he grabbed the girl's hand.

"Ah wait...I don't know where your classroom is."

Jin said with a dull and clueless look on his face.

The girl was baffled at the sudden events that were happening.

"W-what?? I'm dropping out?!"

Emilia was perplexed as she asked Jin, but after a few seconds her expression completely changed...she had an unusual look on her face, it seemed like she wanted to drop out as she dozed off daydreaming about her life without school.

"Yeah the things they teach you here aren't good enough for a talent like you."

He said without a hint of hesitation in his voice without knowing that Emilia hadn't been listening this whole time.

"Let's go, take me to your headmasters' office."

"Ah, my bad, follow me this way!"

She finally woke up from her daydream as she led Jin towards the office.

The seemingly calm girl had faded and Emilia now had a more open and outgoing personality.

'Is she that happy that she's gonna drop out? How hard must school be nowadays for kids to be like this...what a peculiar kid.'
