The bandit boss twirled a glowing, enchanted chain in his clawed hand, the links humming with dark magic. My lips curled back, revealing sharp fangs, but his voice was calm, almost mocking.
"You really think that toy's gonna stop me?" I growled, my tone low and steady, though my muscles tensed like coiled springs.
The bandit boss chuckled, a deep, guttural sound that echoed through the trees. "You're just a pup. I'll break you."
The chain lashed out like a viper, crackling with energy. I sidestepped, the chain grazing my shoulder, sending a jolt of pain through my body. I hissed, my claws digging into the earth as I lunged forward. The bandit boss swung again, but I ducked, my movements fluid and precise.
