Ann shot up from the bed, her eyes wide with curiosity, and hurried to the window. She pulled it open, and there, perched elegantly, was a silver carrier pigeon.
"It's Milo, King Raymond's carrier pigeon!" Ann exclaimed, her voice a mix of shock and excitement.
I rushed to her side, anxiety quickening my pulse. Was this news of hope or more trouble? Ann's eyes sparkled with a mix of surprise and intrigue as she reached out to gently stroke the pigeon's sleek feathers.
"Maybe he's bringing a message," I breathed, my heart racing with anticipation, glancing out into the night as if searching for answers among the stars.
