Sigh
I woke up and did some stretching.
"What day is it" I asked myself
"It's Monday, everyone's least favorite day."
After getting ready for school. I ate breakfast as usual and gave my mom a kiss. Who wouldn't kiss their mother? As I walked outside the house. I saw my friend Hiriko standing by our fence.
"How long were you waiting?" I asked him
"Just got here." He replied
We talked to each other as we walked to school.
Life is pretty awesome with friends by your side.
We arrive to our class pretty early, No one was here except for me and Hiriko. I sat down on my desk and looked outside the window next to me.
Nothing unusual happened at school. Just a normal day at school on a Monday.
I went to the nearest convenient store to buy my favorite onigiri.
"Come back soon sir"
As I walked out of the store, a masked man asked me in a language I couldn't understand.
"Sorry I don't understand what you're saying mister" I said
I became uncomfortable after he gets closer to me.
He pulled out a knife. I was in panic, I tried to calm the man down. But then again, he couldn't understand what I was saying.
This is it, this was the end for me.
"HYAAAA!!!"
Out of nowhere, someone pushed the masked man to the ground. It was Hiriko, he really is the best friend anyone could ask for.
"Shiro, are you alright?" Hiriko asked
"Yeah i-"
Before I could finish my sentence, I collapse to the ground
This hurts like hell, I didn't realized it, the man had already stabbed me. Blood was dripping out of my mouth.
I couldn't handle the pain.
"SHIRO! DONT WORRY, HELPERS ARE ON THEIR WAY NOW!"
"Thanks Hiriko, but I think it's too late for me,
No need to call the ambulance Hiriko, just, stay with me."
He cries as he laid on my chest
"I-"
With a blink of an eye, I was at a different place and time.
A man was looking at me.
"You what?" He asked
"Erm, nothing." I replied
I was standing, at a market like nothing happened.
Was I revived?
I took out my phone and there was no service.
The man looked at my phone with a confused look.
"Is something the matter sir?" I asked
"No, it's just, what is that glowing thing?"
He pointed at my phone.
"This? It's a phone."
"A phone... Did you made it?"
"What no! Don't you have one?"
"No, looks quite expensive."
The man seems to not know what a phone is. That's right, I didn't get revived.
...

Oops, perhaps I shouted that too loud.

I have to ask the man for information about this world.

I hand him over the phone. Goodbye friend, I will miss your ringtones.

After selling him the phone, he gave me 16, no 17 silver coins.
I hope it's enough to buy me a meal.
I went to a market that sells bread.
"Excuse me, how much does one bread costs?" I asked
"How much ya got?" He replied.
"I have about 17 silver coins."
"Then 17 silver coins it is!"
He gave me a bread, it's small.
