Chapter 2 : Qichi village is destroyed
Note :
Male Rover is referred as Y Rover
Female Rover is referred as F Rover
Rover constantly change gender each part of the story. And only TIS, Cameramen, and YOU GUYS Realise it.
After a long night of research, both TIS and Rover eventually fall asleep, slumped over the office desk.
It was 3 A.M. when TIS stirred awake. Groaning softly, he stretched his stiff arms and rubbed his eyes. After a moment of orientation, he quietly got up from the makeshift bed and shuffled toward the small kitchen corner to prepare breakfast.
As he cracked some eggs into a pan, he suddenly addressed the unseen audience.
TIS : "Ah, good morning, Readers—or Viewers, whichever you prefer. So, here's the deal: me and Rover are planning to visit Scar today. Thankfully, Rover already handled all the administrative stuff."
Uh-huh, It's so easy when you've got connections, huh? Usually, you're against stuff like this, TIS.
TIS : "Hey, this time it's for a good cause!" TIS retorted, flipping an egg with practiced ease. TIS : "Of course, I'll support it."
Your words are a bit jumbled. LOLL.
TIS sighed, shaking his head. "I just woke up, alright? And English isn't even my native language, so cut me some slack."
Hahaha!
The pan sizzled softly as the eggs cooked, and TIS was about to plate them when the voice piped up again. Wait, TIS! Rover's waking up!
TIS turned sharply, glancing toward the sofa where Rover was stirring.
TIS : "Oh, you're right!"
Rover stirred, stretching her arms as her eyes slowly fluttered open. "Ahhh, morning already?" she murmured, her voice still heavy with sleep.
TIS glanced over from the kitchen corner, spatula in hand.
TIS : "Good morning, sleepyhead. Breakfast's almost ready."
Rover rubbed her eyes and sat up, her hair slightly messy from the rough sleep.
F Rover : "You're up early. What time is it?"
TIS : "Just past 4 A.M.," TIS replied casually, flipping an egg onto a plate.
TIS : "Figured I'd get a head start on the day. We've got a busy one ahead, remember?"
Y Rover : "Ugh, don't remind me…" Rover groaned, leaning back into the sofa. "Scar, paperwork, and whatever else fate decides to throw at us."
TIS : "Hah !"
Y Rover : "I'll help you out TIS" as he stands up.
TIS : "Hey, you're the one who handled all the admin stuff yesterday," TIS teased, placing a plate of food on the table. "It's only fair I take care of breakfast."
Rover chuckled softly, while walking toward the table.
F Rover : "You've got a point. Smells good, by the way."
TIS : "Of course it does," TIS said with a mock-proud grin.
TIS : "Now hurry up and eat. We've got places to be."
After their breakfast session, TIS and Rover got ready for the day.
Rover slipped into his usual outfit—practical and battle-ready as always.
TIS : "His in-game appearance"
Yes… in-game appearance
Meanwhile, TIS opted for a more modern look: a plain white T-shirt, long black pants, a sword securely fastened to his waist, and an oversized backpack slung over his shoulders. Hanging from his back was a large camera that seemed almost comically out of place.
TIS : "Don't say Camera is comically out of place" he said with a bit of stern look
Okay, sorry didn't mean that
TIS : "Anyways, All set?" TIS turns and asked Rover, while adjusting the straps of his backpack.
F Rover : "Yeah," Rover replied, casually tightening his boots.
TIS glanced toward Rover as they stepped outside.
TIS : "Alright, Rover, as you said yesterday, Sir 'I-forgot-his-name' asked us to meet him at… what was it again?"
Rover stopped mid-step, shooting TIS an exasperated look.
F Rover : "How could you forget, TIS? We're meeting him in front of the Grand Library. Then he'll take us to him."
TIS scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
TIS : "Right, right. The Grand Library. Got it now."
Rover sighed, shaking his head.
Y Rover : "Honestly, sometimes I wonder how you manage to remember anything important."
TIS : "Hey, I've got a lot on my mind," TIS defended, starting to walk ahead.
TIS : "Besides, that's why I've got you, isn't it?"
F Rover : "Convenient," Rover muttered under his breath, following close behind.
TIS : "Anyways, you remembered his name ?"
F Rover : "..."
TIS : "don't tell me…"
F Rover : "I forgot his name as well"
TIS : "Fantastic"
----At the Grand Library----
As they arrived at the Grand Library, the grandeur of the massive structure loomed over them. Its towering columns and intricately carved facades radiated an air of wisdom and history.
TIS : "WOWWW this place is beyond impressive, fantastic job Kuro. Not to mention that this place is also in the same place as Magistrate Town Hall, How the heck did you even get in this place" as he looks to Rover with a curious looks.
Rover, however, seemed unfazed.
F Rover : "Focus, TIS. We're not here to sightsee."
Before TIS could retort, a figure emerged from the shadows of the library's entrance. An old man approached them with a confident stride, his posture straight and his frame surprisingly well-built for someone his age. Despite the lines of age etched into his face, his body seemed fit—almost too fit.
"Greetings," the man said in a deep, yet warm voice. "You must be the ones sent here. I am Yhen."
TIS raised an eyebrow, leaning slightly toward Rover.
TIS : "Yhennnn, it's Yhen I remembered now " he muttered under his breath.
Y Rover : "Shush," Rover hissed before stepping forward.
Y Rover : "A pleasure to meet you, Sir Yhen. I am Rover, and this is my companion, TIS."
Yhen gave a small nod, his piercing eyes scanning the Rover throughly.
Yhen : "I've heard much about you. Follow me. Time is of the essence."
Without another word, Yhen turned on his heel and began walking toward a side path adjacent to the library.
TIS glanced at Rover, whispering,
TIS : "Why do I get the feeling this is gonna be one of those 'mysterious old mentor' situations?"
"Just follow him," Rover replied, exhaling softly.
TIS : "Anyway, Cameramen, I'm very impressed at our Rover here."
Indeed bruh
TIS : "Blud literally just phoned Magistrate, and two unknown guy, and boom, here we are"
That's what you call a main character privilege.
TIS : "LOLLL"
F Rover : "TIS ! keep your voice down"
TIS : "Okay, sorry"
Yhen led them through the Grand Library, navigating past towering shelves and spiraling staircases, until they reached its deepest level. The air grew heavier with each step, the faint scent of parchment and ancient wood replaced by something colder, almost sterile.
Without a word, Yhen stopped in front of a seemingly ordinary section of the wall. He pressed his hand against a faint, almost imperceptible symbol carved into the stone. The ground beneath them trembled slightly, and with a low rumble, a hidden passage opened.
Yhen : "This way," Yhen instructed, his voice steady.
TIS and Rover exchanged a glance before following him into the dimly lit passage. The narrow corridor soon gave way to a vast, blindingly white expanse. The stark contrast left TIS squinting as he stepped forward.
TIS : "Wowwww" TIS Said as his voice echoing faintly in the vast chamber.
In the center of the field was a single large button, perfectly smooth and ominously placed, as if it were waiting for something—or someone.
Yhen stopped a few steps ahead and turned to face them. His expression was unreadable, his voice heavy with significance as he spoke:
Yhen : "This… is his prison."
TIS furrowed his brow, glancing at the button. "ooooooo… a very uniquely futuristic huh Mr. Kuro !" as TIS looking up saying those weird things again….
Rover remained silent, his gaze fixed on the button.
Yhen folded his arms.
Yhen : "The one you seek, Scar, is sealed here. And the truth of what lies beyond this chamber… may be more than you're ready to face."
Rover's gaze remained fixed on the large button in the center of the white field, his expression unreadable. TIS, meanwhile, looked back and forth between Rover and Yhen, sensing the tension in the air.
Yhen tilted his head slightly, his sharp eyes observing Rover carefully.
Yhen : "Is something troubling you, Rover?" he asked, his tone calm yet probing.
Rover hesitated for a moment before replying.
Y Rover : "It's just… this place. It feels… strange. Familiar, yet unfamiliar at the same time."
TIS raised an eyebrow.
TIS : "Ooo… Cameramen, scanned Rover's head will ya, I think Rover's getting a flashback" TIS Whispered to me, cameramen.
Already did, no flashback route…
TIS : "Awww…. Okay"
TIS looks at Rover at said.
TIS : " Rover, have you been here before ?"
Rover shook his head.
F Rover : "No, but…" she trailed off, her voice quiet.
Y Rover : "It's hard to explain. It's like this place is pulling at something inside me."
Yhen's gaze softened, though his expression remained serious.
Yhen : "This chamber holds remnants of power unlike anything in the outside world. It's not unusual to feel unsettled."
TIS : "Unsettled is putting it lightly, this place is similar to a Religious Alien hall I met once" TIS muttered, crossing his arms.
Yhen let out a small chuckle. "Your unease imagination is not unfounded. This chamber exists to hold what cannot be contained elsewhere. It is both a prison… and a test."
"A test?" Rover asked, his tone sharpening.
Yhen nodded. "For those who dare seek the truth about what lies within—and about themselves."
TIS : "Hold on…. Cameramen, get over here a bit"
Huh, what is it ?
Infakifneogvnawimfakgvnwidnsvjaomafkmaf
What the heck was that ?
TIS : "There you go… you're description malfunction a bit, it started to add unnecessary part of the story, this place is a prison not a test place"
Ohh…. Okay… thanks I guess… I didn't even realise it
Yhen : " You're friend is rather… Unique I suppose"
Y Rover : "He do be like that sometimes… but I can assure you, things he does can soothen the mood"
Yhen nodded in agreement, his expression serious but composed. The heavy atmosphere of the chamber lingered as Rover took a deep breath and stepped forward. With deliberate intent, he reached out and pressed the large button at the center of the white field.
A deep rumble reverberated through the chamber. The pristine walls around them began to tremble before collapsing in a controlled cascade of debris, revealing what lay beyond.
TIS's eyes widened.
TIS : "Fascinating as usual Kuro" he muttered, his voice trailing off.
Behind the fallen walls stood a massive steel barrier, its bars thick and unyielding. Beyond them, shrouded in dim light, a figure could be seen. Chains bound the person tightly, the sound of metal creaking echoing faintly in the chamber. As the dust settled, the figure's features became clearer.
F Rover : "Scar" Rover said, his voice steady but laced with tension.
There he was—Scar, his body restrained by heavy iron chains. His handsome face was still fine, not beaten up or anything. In fact, he looked captivating even in chains.
TIS : "There you go, My kind, your beloved Scar is in chains. You can have all your fantasies now." Whispering to me, Cameramen.
Scar slowly lifted his head, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the two figures standing before him.
Scar : "Rover," he rasped, his voice rough yet commanding.
Scar : "So, you finally made your decision I suppose"
F Rover : "You can forget about that, but We have questions, Scar." Rover said firmly.
Y Rover : "About the letter you wrote with a face mark"
Scar smirked weakly, a hint of confusion flickering in his gaze.
Scar : "What letter?" He replied.
Y Rover : "Silent your lies Scar, you were the one to wrote this letter right ?"
Scar : "Hahaha..." he laughed devilishly.. "Then I'll repeat what I just said, What Letter ?"
TIS : "You don't know ? The one with your bruised face in it"
Hearing that, Scar laugh in a maniacal way.
Scar : " I thought of every possibility of YOU coming down here, and it was for such a fictional letter ? don't joke with me Rover, Hahahaha"
Yhen remained silent, standing a few steps behind Rover and TIS. His expression betrayed no emotion, though his eyes never left Scar.
TIS sighed. Watching Scar with a stern look, he seemed deep in thought, pondering something even I couldn't grasp."
Scar's smirk faded entirely, replaced by a genuine look of puzzlement.
Scar : "I'll be honest with you, My face mark? On a letter? I have no idea what you're talking about."
The tension in the chamber shifted, uncertainty creeping in as the three figures exchanged glances. The weight of unknown truths hung heavily in the air.
Rover eyes widen, it's easy to notice that she is currently disbelieved of what she just heard, as Rover is very smart to know when a person lies or not. And connecting this… Rover started to think that this is not just a usual letter. But… what is it then ?
To be Continued.
