Penny sat on the bed, looking lost and looking troubled. She had thought of different ways to get back at Anna, but could not find the right one that will pass across a very strong message to Anna.
"Got something troubling you?"
Cathy said as she turned to face penny when she heard her sigh. Even though all she could see was her back, she knew penny too well to know she was worried.
The two of them had been childhood friends since their birth. Their mothers delivered them both at the same day and time, and from there, their mothers became friends, which made them friends also.
Their mothers who both happened to be single parents moved in together, and they all lived together, and ran a joint bar. They all lived together as a family until the death of Penny's mother, when penny was just nine years of age. Cathy's mother took custody of Penny and brought the two girls into her new marriage with a very successful businessman.
Catherine and Penelope knew everything there was to know about the other, there were no secrets between them.
"Damn it."
Penny said as she got up. Thinking about this was not giving her peace or a solution, it only made her much more pussed off.
"Penny, wonna share? I might have just the solution to whatever is bothering you."
Penny turned to look at Cathy, who was lying on her side.
"Fine, let's give it a go."
"Spill it." Cathy said as she sat up.
"I've been think of how to get back at Anna. She really pissed me off. I just want to teach her a lesson, but I can't think of one. I can't beat her up, she damn strong. I won't even get a chance to bully her cause she's gonna bully me first. We don't even know a thing about her, we don't know what she cares about. It's so damn hard to get back at her."
Saying this she sits on the bed in a defeated stance.
"No baby. You are wrong about something." Cathy said, as a mischievous smile formed on her face.
"And what could that be?"
"She does care about someone."
Penny turned to look at Cathy in surprise. Why didn't she think of that before.
"Laura?"
"Yes. Those two can't be separated."
"So, what do you suppose we do?"
They were now both sitted beside each other. Cathy had moved closer to penny, and she brought out her phone.
"Remember that group that was rumored about?" Cathy asked as she unlocked her phone.
"The ones vowed to complete what the Handsome Maniacs could not?" Penny asked in a cautious manner. She had no idea what Anna and Laura had to do with a group of people who wanted to rape a boy, and it was all just a rumor.
"Yeah."
"So?" Penny was getting confused with each passing second.
"Guess what?"
"Well, I wouldn't know what to guess. Maybe Laura is the leader of the rumored group and maybe Anna has no idea, so we tell her, and there, their friendship breaks forever."
Penny's confused look was evident on her face, as she herself felt much more confused at what she had just said.
"Ain't no joy in seeing their friendship break. It's that friendship we use against them."
"But Laura is not who I'm targeting, Anna is."
"Oh, come on. Don't tell me you've not been noticing that Laura is starting to feel uncomfortable around us."
"What do you mean?"
"All you have to do baby, is to get back at the two of them so they don't think you are easy to mess with. Isn't that what you want?"
"But Laura..."
"Shh. Easy babe." she said as she placed a finger on Penny's lips and Penny nodded her head.
"Now, about that group, it's real. I also just joined today as a supporter. But when you just told me about what you were thinking and how we can't bully her and have no idea what she cares about. I figured out Laura could be the scapegoat. What do you think?"
This didn't help reduce Penny's confusion. Just what did the two girls have to do with the group.
"I still don't understand what the group and they have in common."
She still didn't understand. What was it, two girls who the whole school didn't know, have in common with a group that was popular among students. Or what was it that concerned them with a group who wanted to rape a junior.
"They will help us in dealing with Laura in their own way."
"What does that mean?"
"Really! It's a group created to fuck an innocent boy, what the fuck do you expect them to do to Laura? Of course they're gonna f**k her up."
Penny got tensed. This never crossed her mind cause she never wanted such a thing. She wasn't such a heartless one. Although she might look like the bad one and all that, but hiring people to rape those she disliked was something she would never do.
"No, there's no way we are messing up their lives this badly."
"Too late. They already replied me, and they agreed to do it."
Cathy said while holding up her phone for Penny to see.
"What! How could you?" she flared up and flinger Catherine's phone away.
"Oh well, blame yourself." Cathy also got up on anger.
"Excuse me."
"You've been looking damn troubled for days. Mom noticed and asked me to fix the problem. So there you have it, I fixed it all up for you. We get rid of the two girls, and there, you don't have to worry about those bitches again."
"You are the real bitch here." Penny said with as much disgust on her face. She walked out of the room, making sure to close the door with a loud bang.
Cathy chuckled, looking a bit lost and surprised, but with no sign of remorse for the havoc she had just created. Instead, she seemed more determined as she went to pick her phone from the floor. The screen had a crack, but other than that, she could still use it.
She unlocked the phone and read the message that popped on her screen
