Chapter 65 Ivonne's POV
Black fur spread out over its hands and limbs which appeared form from how poised the were. Red eyes shone above the snouth and mouth with sharp canines hanging off the side.
It tilted its head to the side and peered at me, sending me a silent signal to shift. 'I'm here.' He said in my head and I nodded, inhaling a deep breath as of to ready myself.
Unraveling my lids which I had shut in the process, I nodded at him and discarded my clothes in less than a minute, making sure to fold and place them beside me.
'Ria, it's time,' I said in my head to my wolf and she pranced around in my mind before taking a step forward. 'Guide me with this.'
It had been a while I shifted, not just a while but a few years thus Ria had disappeared after I had lost my pup and the physical and mental pain was too much for her.
Praying I don't mess things up, I let Ria lead the shift as she stood at the front of my mind and I focused all my attention and emotion on her image.
Slowly I felt my bones begin to bend as they changed their forms, my nails turning to claws as I raised my hand to my sight and observed white silver fur popping out from the pores on my skin, my natural human, leaving my skin.
Cracks filled the space and my gaze remained locked with that of Tobias's wolf as it momentarily distracted me from the pain, nonetheless it didn't stop me from letting out a groan as everything in my body transformed into that of a wolf.
Moments later my silver haired wolf stood firm beside his black wolf. The difference in our sizes and forms noticeable as his wolf was an inch or two taller than mine.
I faced him and took a step closer to rub my nose in his fur as a sign of respect and affection. 'Meet Ria my wolf.'
'Meet Thunder my wolf,' he introduced in the same manner I did and brought his face close to mine, our faces rubbing together as we circled each other as if admiring ourselves.
'Nice to meet you Thunder,' Ria greeted, trying to smile however a wolf does.
'You are beautiful Ria,' Thunder complimented, sincerity and admiration following his words. 'I like your fur.'
'Thank you Thunder,' Ria appreciated, wagging her tail. 'I'm a silver wolf.'
'I can see that,' he murmured in response and pointed forward with his paw. 'Can we head out now?'
'Yes we can,' Ria and I affirmed and took a step ahead indicating we were ready.
His wolf bent and picked up his clothes and Ria followed suit, picking up mine in her mouth and together we strolled out of the house into the daylight.
A few steps out of the house and into the pack arena, we began to gather attention from our fellow inhabitants. I could observe their shocked expressions before it got took over by respect and admiration as their eyes fixed on us.
Soon they started to bow and the message must have gotten passed around that the Alpha and his new Luna was strolling around the pack in his wolf form.
A crowd started to gather along the roads as people abandoned their houses to catch a glimpse of the rare sight, one they may not have seen for as long as they could remember.
Countless pairs of eyes were trained on us and I caught sight of Thunder's hind legs spread out in more like a proud attitude as we covered the distance to the edge of the woods.
We had left the pack and the people in it behind. He came to a halt and I did same, angling my head in his path in question and he asked. 'Care for a run?'
'Yes,' I answered while Ria wagged her tail and panthed with her tongue out in excitement.
'Let's go,' he directed and took off. Ria took up the challenge and chased after him. Soon we were in the heart of the woods, the wind rushing past us as we covered the distance.
Our tongues and ears flapped as our libs pounced on the dried leaves, pushing our bodies forward as we raced against time and the environment.
Insects and forest inhabitants like rabbits, made noise as they roamed freely while we ran past them. I was the first to reach the stream where he gave me the necklace and bent toward the water, Ria not wasting time to lap at it thirstily after I advised her to drop my clothes carefully on the water banks.
Thunder caught up with us, panting and thirsty just like us. Ria had her fill and gave way for Thunder to do same. Strudding in the direction of our clothes, I slowly shifted back to my human form and began getting dressed.
"What do you say we dip our bodies and in the water and have some erotic session?" His voice sounded close as he asked that, his breath fanning my neck.
"Not now," I declined his tempting offer and bent to grab my shorts, the action causing my bare ass to rub on his hardness. "I have something to tell you."
"We can keep that for later, hmm?" He suggested, his palm gripping my thigh which I swatted away as I tugged on my clothe and tie the strings securely around my waist. "You can't look so tempting and expect me to just talk?"
"You have to suck it up darling," I smiled and rubbed his jaw as I granted him a light kiss there. "This is important."
"You are lucky I have great self control," he grunted, giving my fully dressed body a once over and pointed at his visible hardnes, "because I'm hard as fuck."
"Sorry," I muttered as I gawked at where he pointed for a moment and ran off to a nearby rock a distance from me and got settled.
He hissed to my amusement and grumpily put on his sweatpants, coming to where I sat. "Now tell me, what is this important stuff I need to know?"
"Now you have met Ria my wolf, I think it's time to say it," I started and granted him a small smile as he say beside me. He only peered at me with curiosity and I took it as a signal to continue.
"I lost Ria the same time I lost my pup," I revealed, taking in a large puff of air in a bid to give me the resolve to hold back the sadness that threatened to consume me in that moment of rememberance.
"You were pregnant once?" He questioned. Shock, sadness, anger, grief and again anger where the emotions that rushed into his gaze as he asked me.
"Yes," I affirmed and his face formed into an expression that was between a scowl and a consoling smile. Someone could say he appeared constipated. "I had a miscarriage and lost her."
"Her?" He implored, voice thick with emotion. "It was a girl," I explained further. "My pup."
"How did it happen? Also how did you lose Ria your wolf in the process?" He interrogated, gaze unwavering.
"I stumbled down the stairs," I exhaled a breath I didn't know I was holding. "The physical, mental and emotional pain that came with the loss of a pup was too much that Ria my wolf disappeared, only to resurface recently."
"Fuck!" He exclaimed, instantly grabbing my fingers in his palms. "That must have been horrible! Did you slip or something?"
"No." I moved my head from side to side. "I feel I was pushed."
