It was only right for a villain to die for the world's greater good.
But, why was it that when it came to him, she couldn't just close her eyes and let fate take charge?
A villainous person not by heart but shaped out of circumstances.
They were after all the same kind of pathetic soul – never loved, wanted, nor caressed by the thing named warmth.
Fate had never been lenient towards people like them. Then, why can't they work together and embrace each other's wounds? As long as the heart wills, what's stopping them from being each other's salvation?
She truly wanted to save him so, despite her incessantly beating heart and the fear upstirring from within the depth of her soul, she strode forward and held his hand, her pleading gaze penetrating.
"Mr Villain, let's not be miserable, okay?"

.
Her voice was as warm and assuring as the first light of the morning sun, the hand she offered the only thing needed to light up the darkness of his world.
He stared at her in silence, the light in his deep-set eyes difficult to decipher. Then, slowly, his chin tipped downward, his eyebrows furrowing as he frowned, contemplating.
The world was cruel and life was never merciful towards him. How cold human nature could be when all false pretense was shed, it wasn't as if he was oblivious of it.
There would never be despair without hope and no betrayal without trust. As long as he guarded the walls around him tight, nothing would ever touch the fragile side of him and leave a painful mark however…
He looked up, studying each careful stroke of her facial features intently as if he was about to imprint the very sight of her forever in his mind.
If it's her, perhaps…
His hand moved, inching closer and closer.
He could afford to be foolish for once.
Their fingers entangled, hand to hand connected as their destinies intertwined.
The heroic knight for the pure saintess.
And the toxic villain for the equally immoral villainess.
Wouldn't that make them a perfect match?
