Rimuru: Hm!
After their short exchange, Veldora appeared in front of Rimuru and aimed for a punch above his head.
Sensing the danger behind the blow, Rimuru shifted his head to dodge and gave Veldora a punch to his gut that sent him back a little.
The blow was devastating, questioning the strength behind a lean and petite body.
Veldora, who was initially stunned, managed to regain his footing and sent『Thunderstorm』towards Rimuru, who dodged the projectile assault.
Rimuru then infuses magicules into his fist and sends a blow to Veldora.
Veldora didn't want to play with any attack launched by Rimuru again, seeing what the previous ones did.
He parried the attack by setting up a barrier while using the subskill 『Probability Manipulation』to increase his chances of success.
Veldora then charged behind Rimuru and infused his fist with his aura before landing a heavy blow on him.
Veldora: 『Veldora-Style Killing Arts: Void Fist!』
The attack hit Rimuru squarely, sending him down to the ground.
A loud sound resonated throughout the battlefield, creating a small shockwave that sent pushed Veldora back a little.
He did not have the luxury of recovering because Veldora had already prepared for another move.
Veldora:『KAAA-MEEE-HAAA-MEEE-HAAAAAA!!』
The attack connected and destroyed the ground. Veldora was waiting for him to come back to strike, but-
Rimuru: Never let your guard down.
With that said, Rimuru used a new holy magic he had formed with Ciel.『Holy Magic: Exorcist Ray』.
Rimuru created a huge magic circle below Veldora and released a flash of holy light towards Veldora.
This is an attack that sends a colossal amount of spiritrons towards the target in a flash.
This attack erases particles using holy energy and is capable of killing true dragons if the user is strong enough to do so.
Seeing the attack, Veldora used his subskill 『Space-Time Manipulation』 and 『Probability Manipulation』 to escape the attack.
Rimuru: Fufufu-Fuhaha-FUHAHAHAHA!
Excellent! It seems like you are beginning to see the true nature of a fight. I'll take you seriously from now on.
Veldora: Hm! Bring it on Rimuru!
They laughed loudly as the battle got more intense.
Their auras overlapped and dwarfed their previous ones, creating destruction far more intense than what it did before.
Rimuru disappeared from Veldora's
sight and appeared beside him. He coated his fists with spiritrons and began to assault him.
Veldora also coated his whole body with his aura and reacted.
They both exchanged blows and kicks at an alarming rate.
Their battle should have already destroyed the entirety of the Jura Forest but was kept due to the 『Imaginary Barrier』.
Rimuru:『Chaos Magic: Divine Rupture』
This is a new magic system created by Rimuru a few years ago.
This magic was developed as a result of the utilisation of both the holy and dark attributes.
This attack was created by sending holy and dark energy into the opponent's body to cause chaos and create a disruption that prevents the opponent from using their magicules properly.
It also destroys the spiritual body at an alarming rate.
Veldora tried to do away with the energy poisoning, but he couldn't.
He was a "Supreme Chaos Spirit," so he had high resistances to holy and dark attributes, which is why he was still alive.
With that said, if it was another race with only one alignment, they would've long died. That, along with the fact that he was a true dragon, was the only reason he was still alive.
A true dragon's toughness and durability were nothing to scoff at.
They possessed nigh-omnipotence and nigh-impossible attacks that could even destroy dimensions, making them truly invincible.
Veldora tried to use his ability, 『Probability Manipulation』to deal with it, but the probability of that was as low as 27.897%.
His skill works in a way that, if the probability of something happening is fifty percent and above, he could manipulate probability with no issue.
However, if it is less than fifty percent, it can only double the chances of success.
Also, if used against lesser targets and casual events, it can manipulate the exact outcome that the user desires with complete accuracy but against targets of similar strength of will/existence it can only double the odds of a specific outcome.
Due to this, he could only reduce its effect.
Veldora: Kuhahahaha!! I thought that I was invincible against magical attacks, but it looks like I got ahead of myself. Let's continue!!
Rimuru: (It's almost scary how powerful probability is.) Yeah.
They began to clash again. Veldora's skills against Rimuru's magic.
Veldora sent another『Thunderstorm』at Rimuru whilst he countered it by using 『Void Magic: Chaos Dimension』.
This is a type of defense used by Rimuru. Although it does not involve the use of any barrier, it can defend against any attack.
He simply used 『Space-Time Domination』 in front of the attack and opened his 『Imaginary Space』 to send the attack to his chaotic dimension for analysis.
Rimuru pulled out his Tempest Blade and went to fight Veldora.
He swung his sword horizontally on Veldora.
Veldora knew how powerful his sword was and decided to dodge the attack.
He then sent a 『Death-Heralding Wind』 towards Rimuru.
Rimuru attempted to teleport behind Veldora, but he had already seized control over the space using 『Space-Time Manipulation』.
Seeing this, Rimuru decided to use the information particles as a base for his teleportation.
Veldora, who never knew of the existence of infons, was dumbfounded and asked.
Veldora: Huh! I thought I had stopped you from teleporting. How did you do it?
Rimuru: There are many things you don't know yet, I'll tell you about it later. But for now, take this!!
Without answering, Rimuru used a sword art he had created from reading some manga earlier.
Rimuru: 『Nihility Sword Art: Compound Annihilation』.
After taking a diagonal spin, he swung his sword downwards. As he did that, twelve violet-colored rays struck the earth below them.
The attack was powered by his turn null energy, and it created a very destructive effect.
Veldora managed to dodge most of them, but one of them had already pierced his back.
The attack pattern was created in such a way that it was impossible to dodge all without getting hit by one.
Veldora had lost about 30% of his magicules from that attack.
Although his magicule capacity was astronomically high, the energy consumption ability of that attack was out of this world.
Rimuru: To still be alive after such an attack. True dragons are really not to be underestimated.
Veldora: But to be able to create an attack that could bring down a true dragon to the level of a mere demon lord! You are by far scarier.
Rimuru: Well, what can I say. I am amazing. Hahahahaha!!
They continued to clash with each other.
Their battle had already lasted 6 days, but none of them had paid attention to time.
Rimuru: 『Nihility Collapse: Death Storm』.
This is a normal Death Storm enhanced with turn null energy, making it more powerful.
Veldora: 『Destruction Storm』.
Both attacks met, causing a dimension destroying wave to spread out.
Their attacks disrupted space, and the earth beneath them had long collapsed beyond recognition.
Rimuru repaired the land and faced Veldora.
Rimuru: Hey! I think we should make one final attack to decide the winner of our little fight.
Veldora: Hm! Let's make it epic!!
They both began to charge up energy for their next and final attack.
The moment to end the long-term battle had come, and the time for conclusion was near.
Veldora: 『Chaos Break: Storm Demolition』!
Rimuru: 『Void Magic: Divine Requiem』!
These two attacks met, and the result was disastrous.
Veldora's attack is a new storm magic he created as a trump card against Rimuru.
The attack consists of various types of storm magic.
Each having their own type of destructive effect, compressed into a tiny energy sphere.
He launched the energy sphere towards Rimuru while Rimuru launched his own attack.
Rimuru's attack was powered by his turn null energy directly.
He also compressed the energy into a sphere and made the sphere to release a projectile blast.
After the collision, the two were flying, but Veldora seemed extremely exhausted as he had wasted a lot of magicules.
Veldora: Gahahahaha!! That was the most intense fight of my life! Thanks, sworn brother!!
Rimuru: Hai!! I had a lot of fun too! Thanks!
The two then gave each other a fist bump.
Although they felt awkward, it was still a refreshing moment.
