I was at the bookshop when I got a call from my best friend

"Hey Astrid, what's up" , I told her

"The sky of course" she said and I let out a chuckle

"Is there a problem, what's your reason for calling" I asked her

"I've got some really juicy details for you that can't be discussed over the phone, let's meet at Heaven Hunters Restaurant" she said

"I'm quite busy, what's so important that can't be discussed over the phone" I asked her

"Can't tell, meet you their in 20 mins" she said and cut the call

I had to go so as not to disappoint her, I took a xab from the bookshop I was to Heaven Hunters Restaurant. I entered the restaurant and sat on a chair close to the window thereby giving me a view of people going about in their daily lives,I didn't order yet and decided to wait for Astrid to arrive. Few minutes later she arrived and after looking around a bit she spotted me sitting close to the window, she came over and took a sit

"So what's the news" I asked her

"Don't be so impatient, relax, and by the way why haven't you ordered " she asked me

"I was waiting for you princess Astrid" I said the two last words with a bit a sarcasm in my voice

"Fine, you don't have to be sarcastic" she said and called over a waiter

"What can I get you both" the waiter asked handing us both a menu

"You order" I said not at all interested. She looked at the menu for a while and finally made up her mind

"Two plates of spaghetti and meatballs, orange juice and apple pie for dessert" she said with a smile on her face. The waiter left to go get the food

"By the way, I went over to your class today but I didn't see you, where were you" she asked me

"Didn't feel like going to class today so I decided to go to the bookshop " I told her

"OK" she said

"Now now don't you dare keep me waiting and spill the beans already" I told her

"I'm starving, let's talk after we eat okay" she said

" I didn't leave what I was doing to come here you say bullshit, so spill the beans already " I said giving her a death glare

"Well" she said and started waving her left hand at me that was when I sighted the diamond ring on her finger

"OMG, I'm so happy for you, I can't believe Elliot finally proposed" I told her very excited, I stood up and went round the table and enveloped her in a big hug

"Thank you" she said and just then the waiter came with our food

"Tell me everything, don't miss a single detail" I told her and just then the waiter came with our food, she told me every single detail on how Elliot proposed to her

"That's so sweet of him" I told her, we discussed about trivial things and after we were done eating, I escorted her to the hostel and I went home

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, I picked it up with sleepy eyes when I heard

"Happy Birthday" I heard through the phone, I took a look at who called and if was Astrid

"Thank you" I told her

"You aren't going to classes today, we are going to party all day long" she said

"That won't be possible because the classes I have today are extremely important" I told her

"Alright, after classes then" she said and cut the call. I got up from my bed had my bath, brushed my teeth and put on a black high waist jeans and blue crop top and black canvas, I tied my hair up in a ponytail, applied light makeup, made a breakfast of toast and eggs and went for my class, when I got there I realized I was 4 mins late but when I entered the class it wasn't Professor Dylan but his substitute Professor Chris, I entered inside and greeted him

"Good morning sir" I greeted

"And what is good about the morning, why are you late" he asked with a stern look on his face

"Traffic" I lied but it wasn't entirely a lie, I hated this man so much,he annoys the hell outta me, he looked at me for a while, his gaze on me was deep as if he was trying to know if I was speaking the truth or not

"Go take a seat" he finally said and I breathed a sigh of relief. Then he began teaching

"There are many actors and actresses and today we are going to look into their work....." he continued, an hour later class was finally over, Professor Chris gave us an assignment

I texted Astrid that my classes were over and she told me to go home and get ready that she'll come by 6pm to come get me. I ate lunch at the cafeteria before going home, when I got home I watched a movie and when it was 5pm I went to freshen up. I wore a black off shoulder gown with black heels, I let my hair down and applied light makeup. I was browsing through my phone when I heard a knock at the door, I went to open it and it was Astrid

"You're finally here" I told her

"I can see you are ready and looking beautiful as always" she said

"Thanks, you don't look bad yourself" I told her with a slight smile on my face

"Are you ready" she asked me

"Hold on, let me go get my purse" I said and left to go get my purse

Few minutes later we were on our way to the Eclipse club, when we got there we both took a sit at an empty table

"Let me go get us some drinks" she said and left. A few minutes later Astrid was back

"Dessa, what are you doing sitting here" she asked me

"What do you mean" I asked her

"Come on, get up, let's go to the dance floor" Astrid said

"Asty I'm not in the mood" I told her

"I'm not taking no for an answer" she said and took my hand and dragged me to the dance floor pushing her way through the crowd
