Lucky pulled the diary from her purse. "This was my mother's, I found it in Neveah's room after the Moon Goddess gave me one of her cryptic hints. Neveah must have found it, and started writing in it." She handed the diary to Sophie. "Take some time to read it and tell me what you think."
Lucky wanted someone else to draw the same conclusion she had drawn, it would make her more confident. The implications of it were serious. Neveah's last entry had shocked her, she didn't want to believe what she had read was true, even if it all but cleared her mate's name.
Sophie nodded and took the diary, and she and William went to the kitchen to read it together. Lucky sat down on the couch, quickly joined by Amelia. Eli paced back and forth in the small living room.
"What did it say, Lucky?" Amelia almost whispered. Lucky took a deep breath, determination filling her eyes as she began telling them what she had discovered.
