"We did it Stanley we did it!" Mary says as she bounces in excitement. "What'd we do?" Stanley says poking his head out of the bathroom of the tiny one bedroom apartment they could barely afford.

"We won the property auction. Well there's just one thing. How do you feel about a supposedly haunted house?" Mary says grinning sheepishly.

"I think haunted houses are bogus Mary. What's the major thing it needs done?" Stanley ask questioning his wife

"It's a bit of a fixer upper?" She chuckles

*Three months later*

"Stanley I found something in the basement!" Mary shouts from downstairs. "Is it buried treasure?" Stanley ask coming down the stairs with a couple of bottles of water. "No well maybe it's a safe. Looks old," Mary says examining a safe stuck inside the concrete of the basement wall.

"Huh. How about that. Why don't we open it?" Stanley suggest. "Already ahead of you babe looking up how to pick a lock," Mary responds tapping away on her phone.

*Two hours later*

"Almost got it!" Mary says triumphly as they hear a click and the door came unlatched "finally now let's see what's..." Mary never finished her sentence as the gunshot rings out her head snapping back as the safe was booby trapped.

"Mary...Mary...MARY!" Stanley falls to his knees beside his wife as he frantically searched for signs of life "oh God... she's dead. She's dead!" Stanley says as he stands up storming to the safe. "WHAT THE HELL WAS SO IMPORTANT THAT MARY HAD TO DIE!?" he shouts as he jerks the door open only to reveal an antique pocket watch.

"What the hell. A pocket watch!' he shouts as he grabs it, "My wife died because of a damned watch!" Stanley screams clicking the button and everything becomes blurred and he's standing in the basement again as he hears the safe lock click.

"Got it!" Mary says "now to see..." She says reaching for the door. "Mary why don't I do it. I have a bad feeling about this," Stanley says stopping Mary. He doesn't understand why he went back in time but this time he'd save his wife from the gun.

"Hmm ok" Mary shrugs stepping aside to let her husband open the safe. Stanley approached it and opened it a little and looked inside "looks like something is stuck to the door" he says as he reaches in his hands out getting it. "There it is," Stanley whispers disarming the gun but saying, "oh it was just some webs,' to avoid worrying his wife.

"Behold our treasure!" Stanley proudly says with enthusiasm as he opens the door and a cloud of dust comes out and he promptly starts choking and was dead before he hits the ground.

"Stanley!" Mary screams as she checks for signs of life, "aaaahhhhhh!" she screams as she does like Stanley ripping the safe open reaching in to grab the watch hitting the button as everything goes blurry.

"Why don't we open it?" She hears Stanley ask as she looks around she's confused but doesn't care. She's got a second chance and can save him this time....this time she'd open the safe and get out of the way of that poison dust quickly...
