Ludwig walks down the halls of the east wing of the Frye Manor. He walks and looks at all the paintings of his forefathers before him. When he finally stumbles upon The Vampire, he is looking at the painting of him. He barely notices Ludwig yet. Ludwig would lean on the wall and say to him.
"What a handsome he is aye?"
The Vampire turns and sees him.
"Who are you?" questioned The Vampire.
Ludwig gives this shocked look and then points at the painting behind The Vampire.
"I am Ludwig Frye, head of the Frye Family."
"What? I thought a man named James was the head of the Frye Family?" questioned The Vampire.
"Well, he was, but sadly, he has vanished and was never seen again. Some might say he went to buy milk," Ludwig joked.
Ludwig saw the Vampire draw his blade on his back and attack him with a swing. But Ludwig jumped up right in time and avoided the attack. The Vampire was not used to this weapon by looking at him use it.
"What?" The Vampire was shocked by his dodge.
"My, you look unfamiliar with that blade. In my opinion, I'd rather use a smaller blade as most people that use claymores are beefy men," explained Ludwig.
The Vampire is surprised that Ludwig could find him out so quickly. Ludwig draws his sword in his right hand, smiles, and gives the Vampire the come-on gesture with his left hand. The Vampire attacks one more, going for a chop with his blade. But Ludwig would sidestep him to the right and go for a counterattack by giving the Vampire a stiff kick to the gut with his left foot. The Vampire falls on his butt.
"I have to say you are helping me get some of my rust off from not fighting demons for a while," smirked Ludwig.
He gets back up, raises his sword, and gets ready. This time, the Vampire looks like he is now on the defensive.
"Okay, I think I will end this now," said Ludwig.
He rushes at the Vampire with his blade and starts to attack him in a flurry of attacks; Ludwig then disarms the Vampire and then gets sucker punched in the face by him and is out cold and falls to the ground.
"I guess our little dance is over, it seems," said Ludwig.
Later that night, the Vampires woke up in a bed in the east wing of the Frye Manor while Ludwig was reading a book.
"Ah, well, good morning sunshine," said Ludwig.
"Where am I?" asked The Vampire.
"You still in my home," said Ludwig. "We just put you in a room nearby."
"You said you were a Frye?" asked The Vampire.
"Correct. I am Ludwig James Frye. I am the family's current head, and what about you?"
"My name is Alucard Dracul. As you can tell, I am a vampire."
"Well, met Alucard. So, why are you at my house? Breaking into someone's home is a major crime," Ludwig said jokingly.
"I came seeking help from James Frye. My mother used to work as a servant for him and told my siblings and me that if we ever get in trouble, we should find him," said Alucard.
Ludwig looks at him sadly and says,
"Sorry, But like I said earlier, James Frye is no longer with us. He mysteriously disappeared years ago when I was just a lad."
"Damn, I guess it was for nothing coming here," said Alucard.
"So why do you seek my father?" asked Ludwig.
"Well, it's because of my father. He has gone mad after my mother died years ago and plans to take over the world with the power of this statue he had," said Alucard.
Alucard shows Ludwig his strange demonic statue. He feels a malicious and ominous aura emanating from it.
"I see what you mean now," said Ludwig.
"Yeah, but I do not know what to do. My father was angry when I took this and fled away," said Alucard.
"Not all hope is lost. I must take your request as James' son," said Ludwig. "I can not allow this statue to roam free."
"It could be dangerous," said Alucard.
"Ah, it's all right; things were getting boring anyway around here," said Ludwig without a care in the world.
Ludwig takes the statue from Alucard and whistles. They see Jay enter the room.
"Yes, sir?" asked Jay.
"Alucard, meet my faithful butler and friend, Jay Mijayson," said Ludwig.
"It's an honor, Alucard," said Jay as he bows.
"Alucard will be staying for a while. I guess he will take this room," said Ludwig.
"Yes, sir. I will make sure it is to his liking," said Jay.
Jay was making breakfast in the kitchen the following day when Alucard entered the room.
"Good morning, Sir Alucard," said Jay.
"Good morning to you too, Jay," said Alucard. "Where is Lord Frye?"
"He has gone out for a morning run. It seems like last night inspired him to start training again," said Jay.
"That's right, he is a demon hunter," said Alucard.
"Correct, his family has been fighting these monsters for a long while," said Jay.
They see Ludwig enter the room, wearing a gray sweater and drenched in sweat from all his running. He also wore matching sweatpants and running shoes. He was out of breath and said.
"Ten miles are done."
"Good work, sir," said Jay.
He pours Ludwig a glass of fresh water. He would take it and down it.
"Thank the maker," said Ludwig.
"Why train? You must be powerful," said Alucard.
"I am only this strong because I train my boy. I am a human fighting multiple dangerous beasts at night," said Ludwig. "But you find out that yourself tonight."
"What?" questioned Alucard in confusion.
"Tonight, we go on patrol," said Ludwig with a grin.
