The old woman looked at the boy with pity, all his actions showed that he had lived a miserable life full of pain.
Astris did not know about human eating traditions, he ate greedily like animals, while the bread was in his mouth he was pouring his hand into the soup to eat from it.
The meal was very messy, and although Astris was rude and made the place dirty with his chaotic way of eating, the old woman did not get angry, but kept looking at him with a smile that hid behind it feelings of pity towards him.
"What a poor boy. My God, how exactly did he live his life?" The old woman thought to herself.
When Astris finished eating, he kept staring at her and trying to study her strange appearance to him. Not only was he ignorant of his own body shape, but now he saw an old woman in front of him with a body shape different from his.
Astris asked her while burping shamelessly "What exactly are you?"
The woman replied with a smile "Do you mean what my name is?"
Astris's gaze grew sharper and he shouted angrily "Why would I care to know your name! I'm asking what kind of creature you are."
The woman laughed lightly as she answered him "I think I'm a human."
Astris moved and twisted his fingers angrily and with murderous intent, he wanted to tear off her laughing face as he thought to himself "How could a filthy creature like her laugh in my face?"
He wanted to tear her guts out at that moment, but because of something he didn't understand, he couldn't. He felt a strange feeling, so he decided to leave her alive for now...
"Human? What are these pity creatures? Are you from the group of the scums angels?"
The woman smiled lightly as she said "Thank you for your compliment, I didn't know I was as beautiful as angels."
At that moment, Astris punched the table hard with his hands until it started bleeding again, looking at her with dark anger "They are the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life, worse than fucking insects!"
The woman felt nervous and rushed to treat his hand with pity in her eyes as she said "Kid, are you okay?"
Before she could hold his hand, he pushed her forcefully to make her fall to the ground while looking at her angrily, he wanted to kill her.
But this time, when he looked at her sad eyes and weak body, he felt a kind of pity, a feeling he was not used to.
Somehow, he controlled himself as he bit his teeth and sat back in front of the table angrily.
The woman stood on her feet as she looked at the boy with pity and great sadness, as she was now certain that this poor boy had reached a certain stage of madness from the harm he had suffered.
She asked him "Can you give me your hand so I can treat it?" She looked at him with pity and sadness.
Astris did not like how she looked at him, but he extended his hand anyway as he said "It is good that you serve me well, as this is your position as a vile being."
The old woman treated his hand well with the bandages and alcohol then sat back on her seat, her back was aching from her previous fall.
Astris looked left and right, studying the room and surroundings, asking, "Where exactly am I?"
"You are in my little home in Lunara."
"Lunara? I have never heard of it," he replied.
"It is one of the coastal cities in the eastern continent," she replied.
The woman hesitated a little before asking, "Do you know where your parents are?"
Astris laughed as he looked at her, "They are in hell."
Her eyes frowned as she looked at him sadly, muttering, "He must have been harmed by his parents as well."
She sighed then asked him again, "Can I know your name or any of your relatives? Maybe I can help you."
Astris looked at her with contempt, answering, "It is a great honor for a vile being like you to know my mighty name. I am the great Astris!"
"As for my relatives, I told you, everyone is in hell."
The woman thought for a moment: "His name sounds foreign, and he has no parents or relatives. God, how can I help him?"
She asked him again, "Do you remember which country you came from?"
Astris answered her while licking his fingers, "A country? I don't know what that is, but I'm from the dark."
The woman frowned more and then sighed as she looked at him with a slight smile, "Well, don't worry, Astris. I promise I will help you and find someone to take you back to where you came from safely."
She then added, "You can call me Merlin by the way." She smiled at him after that.
Astris laughed carelessly, "And why would I care about your stupid name? Anyway, if you're going to help me, I have no problem wasting some of my precious time."
Marlin smiled and said, "There's a room at the end of the hallway, you can rest well tonight. I'll take you to the market tomorrow to shop and find someone to help you."
Then she stood up, putting her hand on the table to support herself to stand "Good night, Astris." She waved at him with a smile before leaving to her room.
Astris sighed and headed to the room she told him about to find a worn-dirty bed with some strange devices he didn't know about scattered everywhere.
"What a dirty and filthy place." Astris cursed silently.
He then got on the bed to sleep very deeply, resting his body that was exhausted from that night.
The next morning, Astris woke up to the sunlight that was streaming in through the window above him and stood on his feet while yawning. As he stood up, he saw something shiny to the left covered with a piece of cloth.
Astris removed the cloth curiously to know what was hidden behind it, but it was nothing but a broken mirror with a wide line.
Astris looked at the mirror thinking, "Is this what this pity creature looks like?" He kept touching his face and body while examine the shape of his new body.
