Chapter 2 - Home

A child was born to a seemingly ordinary couple, though their lives were anything but ordinary. In a small, quiet hospital room, the cries of a newborn filled the air. The mother, exhausted after labor, cradled her child lovingly in her arms. Outside, the father paced anxiously up and down the hallway, his heart racing with every sound of his wife's labored breathing.

"James Bourne," the doctor finally called, motioning him into the delivery room.

James—a sharply dressed British man with an air of confidence hurried inside. His eyes landed on his wife, Vesper Lynd, who looked up at him with a tired but radiant smile. In her arms was their newborn child.

James walked over, leaning down to kiss her gently on the forehead.

"It's a boy," Vesper said softly, her voice brimming with joy.

James smiled. "So, what name have you decided on, dear?"

"Jason," she replied, gazing down lovingly at their baby.

"Gu gu ga ga," the baby cooed.

But inside his mind, Jason was anything but an ordinary infant.

Jason's Inner Thoughts: Holy shit. My father is James Bond, and my mother is Vesper Lynd. Thank Gojo for blessing me with this genetic lottery!

Three Months Later

Jason's days followed a predictable pattern: drinking milk, sleeping, and soiling himself. To an outsider, it might have seemed like the most monotonous existence imaginable, but Jason found it oddly therapeutic.

Jason's Thoughts: Every isekai protagonist complains about this stage—how boring it is to be a baby. Not me, though. I get to drink whenever I want, and from a very beautiful place, no less. Sleep whenever I please. Sure, I can't control my bowel movements, but no life is perfect.

He chuckled internally at the absurdity of it all.

Honestly, being a baby has its ups and downs. But it's a welcome change from my old world. That bleak place where the rich got richer and everyone else sank into despair. Resources were geting scarce, water was pollutedin cities , and politicians were too corrupt to care. Companies polluted the earth for profit, and the healthcare system—don't get me started. Insurance fraud was the norm, not the exception. Luigi Mangione the goat .

Jason's mind wandered further. The industrial revolution really set things off, didn't it? And now, here I am, with two incredible parents—a mother who loves me and a father who cares deeply. Oh, and they're both super spies. What more could a reincarnated soul ask for?

He paused his thoughts, feeling a pang of guilt. Not that my previous parents were bad. They were just normal people trying their best to make ends meet. My mom loved me. My dad cared for me. They worked hard, lived responsibly...

Jason shook the melancholy from his mind. Whoa, whoa, let's not go there, champ. Meditate. Stay positive. He smirked internally. This is what happens when you leave people alone too long—they go crazy. Like me.

Deciding it was time for some attention, Jason started to cry.

"Uahhh! Uahhh! Uahhh!"

Moments later, Vesper appeared at his crib, her eyes warm and full of love. She gently picked him up, cradling him in her arms.

"What's wrong, my baby boy?" she cooed, rocking him softly. "Were you feeling lonely?" She held her finger out, touching his nose playfully.

Jason's Inner Thoughts: This isn't embarrassing at all. Nope. Not one bit.

Jason allowed himself to settle in her arms, soothed by her warmth and care. For now, life was good.

The day began quietly in the serene neighborhood. Vesper moved gracefully through the kitchen, her mind busy with thoughts of her young son, Jason. Her husband, James, sat in the living room, engrossed in the newspaper, his dark eyes scanning each line with a sharpness born of years of practice.

From another room, Jason's soft babbles occasionally echoed, warming the house.

Vesper enters the room, holding a tray of coffee and setting it on the table next to James. and goes and pick up the baby .

Vesper: "He's growing up so fast, isn't he? Sometimes, I can't believe how quickly the weeks has pass."

James (folding the newspaper and looking up at her with a soft smile): "He's got your spirit. Always curious, always moving. Sometimes I wonder if he'll outpace us before we're ready."

Vesper (chuckling as she sits beside him)

James (grinning): "And what did you think?"

Vesper: "That my boy is magical." (pauses, looking at Jason thoughtful) "Do you think we're doing enough for him, James? Protecting him, I mean."

James (placing a reassuring hand over hers): "We're doing all we can. And we'll always be ready for whatever comes."

Their tender moment was shattered by a deafening explosion. The ground shook violently, and a wave of heat and debris followed.

Vesper (instinctively): "Stay down!"

She threw herself over Jason, shielding him from the impact as glass shattered and a plume of smoke rose from the neighboring house.

James (already at the window, his sharp instincts taking over): "It's not gas. There's no smell of chemicals or explosives. This… this feels deliberate."

Before he could say more, a loud knock thundered at the front door.

James (his tone sharp and alert): "Hide Jason. I'll handle this."

Vesper (nodding, moving swiftly): "Be careful."

She hurried to the hidden compartment, pushing aside the false bookshelf to reveal a concealed, secure space. Placing Jason inside, she whispered comforting words, though her heart raced.

James approached the door, gun hidden at his side. As he opened it slightly, four robed figures stormed in, their wands drawn, their faces twisted with malice.

Dark Minion 1 (snarling): "Voldemort's vision shall prevail. No one escapes his wrath!"

Without hesitation, James fired, the sharp crack of his pistol cutting through the air. The first minion fell, a clean shot to the head. The second followed, dropping lifelessly to the floor.

Dark Minion 3 (yelling as he clutched his wounded shoulder): "You'll pay for that, Muggle scum!"

Before James could react, a green flash from a wand hit him squarely in the chest. He fell, lifeless, to the ground.

The remaining wizards burst into the house, searching for anyone. She met them head-on, her gun blazing. One wizard disarmed her with a flick of his wand, sending the weapon flying across the room.

Dark Minion 4 (mocking): "Such spirit. Maybe we should play with her first."

Vesper's eyes burned with fury. As one approached, she grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter and plunged it into his chest. The wizard's smug grin turned into a gasp of shock before he collapsed. vesper then run into inside the house

The remaining wizard used a spell to reveal life signatures, pinpointing Jason's location.

Dark Minion 3 (grinning): "Ah, there he is a baby here . Let's see how brave the little one is."

As he approached the hidden compartment, Vesper lunged from her hiding spot, her knife finding its mark in his throat.

Dark Minion 3 (gurgling as he fell): "Avada Kedavra!"

The green light struck Vesper just as the wizard's life faded. She crumpled to the floor, her eyes locking onto Jason as her strength ebbed away.

Jason, witnessing his mother's fall, screamed. The air around him vibrated with raw, untamed magic. A massive explosion of energy erupted, throwing the house into chaos.

When the dust settled, Jason crawled into Vesper's arms, his small hands clutching her lifeless body.

Jason (sobbing) speak for first time : "Mama, wake up! Mama!"

Her arms, still warm, held him as the last light faded from her eyes. Jason's cries echoed through the ruins of the once-happy home, the spark of his first magical accident leaving a haunting reminder of love and loss.
