Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Random Thought

Julia took Lucius not to a fancy restaurant but instead to Guest Inn as it was well known that Guest Inn served good food. As an Inn, it didn't just accommodate only those looking for a placing to sleep but also those craving for good food and alcohol. This was done intentionally by Guest Inn as people would want to stay at such a wonderful place. And apparently, anyone who could cook delicious food would be scouted and hired by the Guest Inn to work at the Inn.

And there wasn't just one Guest Inn in each city but many. As for why nobody robbed the place, it was rumoured that the owner of this business was extremely powerful and no one dared to mess with him or her.

"So tell me, who is Lucius Lothra?" asked Julia while playing with her food. Lucius who was wolfing down his plate almost choked because this question came so unexpectedly.

"Umm… I'm Lucius Lothra, never been in a fight, usually introverted unless conversing with someone I'm familiar with…" Lucius had finished speaking but seeing Julia's gaze that was waiting for more information, he could only continue talking. As for what he'd say, he'd improvise.

"...A disciplined twenty one year old who has dreams of exploring the world. Even as a child, I often wondered what it would be like living in a fantasy world where anything was possible with magic. I really don't have much to say about myself other than what I've already told you. Enough about myself, why don't you tell me about yourself instead."

"Oh well, I was raised by the church and barely left the church while growing up so I don't have much to talk about outside of the church. I'm a patient, straightforward and decisive person when it comes to things I like, like… you." said Julia.

"Cough…cough…cough… I'm flattered but this isn't about me. Do you have friends at the church or people you consider family like Father James. Speaking of Father James, he's a really good person." said Lucius.

"I did have close friends at the church but unfortunately they're all dead. They died in a mission to exorcise a Demonic Being. As for Father James… he's nice." the last sentence sounded forced by Julia but Lucius didn't notice and they continued to chat until late in the night.

"Why don't you… follow me upstairs and I'll show you something interesting. Who knows, you might even get to taste it but be warned, it's very deadly. Once you've tasted, you might even leave this world so be careful." whispered Julia to Lucius flirtatiously as she went upstairs.

Gulp*

Lucius swallowed hard as he drank the entire wine bottle and ran after Julia. He was so excited about the "long" night he was about to have that he failed to notice that something was wrong with this Julia. Nuns were supposed to be pure maidens who knew nothing about what happens behind closed doors yet here was Julia flirting with him.

Even though Lucius was fast, he wasn't fast enough and as he entered the room and closed it behind him, Julia was already laying on the bed with only her undergarments, lace panties and bra and Lucius only had one word to describe this scene.

"Beautiful…"

"Come here. I have something to tell you." said Julia with a seductive smile and hypnotic eyes. Lucius slowly worked over and sat on the bed.

"Your body is so tense. Do you want me to loosen it up for you?" asked Julia while massaging Lucius and licking his neck. Lucius's body was boiling like a volcano eruption that he couldn't hold himself back. Turned around and gave Julia a deep kiss and a night of passion began. When both were fully naked, Julia gave Lucius a black pill.

"Eat this. That way, you can do whatever you want to me without repercussions, aren't you excited to explore… my body on a deeper level?"

Lucius didn't doubt Julia and swallowed the pill immediately and continued with what they were "chatting" about.

Lucius woke up the next day feeling refreshed as though reborn but he found himself alone, Julia nowhere to be seen. Although a little disappointed, he accepted the situation, took a quick bath and left the Guest Inn. Thinking about last night, his heart raced and his blood boiled. He wanted to scream that he was no longer a boy but a man now but was too shy to do it.

He quickly went back to the church and resumed his job as a receptionist. His smile was even brighter than usual, his mood extremely good and he was now very hopeful about the future.

Father James suddenly entered the church with a young lady behind him, she looked innocent and ignorant about the world as if she'd spent her entire life shielded from the outside world. Father James walked with his eyes closed but he somehow knew where he was going without being told.

"Good morning Father James."

"Yes, yes. Good morning to…you too…" Father James suddenly froze because he was sure that he knew this voice very well. Father James opened his eyes to confirm if what he was seeing was actually real and not a dream.

"Lucius?! Why are you here?!" asked Father James with agitation.

"Hahaha, I see that you also have a sense of humour, Father James. What do you mean why am I here, I work here remember. It seems old age is finally catching up to you, take better care of yourself."

Hearing what Lucius just said, Father James was enraged but he didn't show it, instead he nodded with a kind smile and left with the lady still following him from behind. Lucius continued to welcome guests with a friendly smile and a few jokes here and there.

Father James sat in the confessional and on the other side was the young lady who now wore a worried expression.

"Father James, what's wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing is wrong. Go call Julia for me. There's something I have to talk to her about and be quick!" said Father James.

"Yes Father."

The girl quickly left the confessional to look for Julia while Father James had his eyes closed while in the confessional. Five minutes later, a mature lady wearing nun clothing walked inside the confession room and into the confessional.

"I thought you said the mission was completed successfully. So why is that pest at the reception desk smiling as though he won the lottery?!" spoke Father James before Julia could even greet the old man.

"What?! Impossible! He ate the poison pill right in front of me and before leaving, I double checked and he truly was dead!" answered Julia with a shocked expression.

"It's either you gave him the wrong pill or he had seen through your plan and had already drunk the all poison antidote."

"It's possible. He acts dumb but he is quite sharp and is not afraid of anything. He might have drank the antidote beforehand."

"You're right, he might have done that. The only other possible explanation is that…"

Lucius who now sat bored on his chair suddenly had a random thought but it was natural because men just think about random stuff. This thought was quite simple, what part of his body would he want to be poisonous. The first thing that came to mind was his spit but later changed that idea because in movies, the main characters always spit blood on their enemies.

'I'd choose to have poisonous blood.'
