"Ahh! I can not be defeated! Not again!" A young black haired boy of seventeen years gritted his teeth in anger while stomping his fists on the ground.
He shot to his feet and charged towards a young girl of sixteen with his fist tightly clenched. But the girl did not even flinch while watching him charging towards her. Instead, she maintained her ground and composure with confidence radiating all around around her aura.
Getting close enough, the boy pulled his right elbow backwards and upwards while throwing his fist towards the girl's charming face.
And that's when the girl finally reacted.
She pulled her right foot back while using the left one as a pivot, and with a swift, fluid motion, she spun around with flames suddenly covering her right foot.
The fire danced around her leg, creating a mesmerizing yet terrifying sight. And as the boy's fist neared her face, she completed her spin, her flaming leg connecting with his midsection in a powerful kick.
The impact was immediate and devastating. The boy's eyes widened in shock as the force of the kick lifted him off his feet and the flames searing through his clothes and skin.
He flew backward, crashing into the ground with a thud, and the fire extinguishing as quickly as it had appeared and he was forced to lay there, gasping for breath with pain radiating through his body
"You are slow! You are weak! You are magicless! You are nothing! And even in a thousand years, never dream of defeating me, Andy!" She muttered with confidence while walking towards the fallen young warlock.
"And if I do!?" Andy stated while fuming in anger.
"Then I'll drop my status and personally betroth your weak self!" She stated, but Andy already had another idea in his stupid head even after being granted this one in a lifetime prize.
"No!" He spoke! "I can never take you as a wife! You are rotten and disgusting, and having babies with you would be shaming my mother's womb! Maybe..."
"Then I'll be your concubine and personal loyal servent!" The girl, Ashley quickly cut in.
It was even surprising for a witch of her class to make such arguments in this society where women tower over men.
It's just in nature, witches are stronger and powerful than warlocks, and with the natural unwritten rule of the FirstWorld, men are to worship the ladies no matter what.
But this isn't the FirstWorld.
The FirstWorld, the original home of witches is dying after a powerful dark witch cultivating the chaos magic took over the world.
Her chaos magic is slowly killing the FirstWorld, but the witches have found a way of saving it which includes traveling to this world full of pure magic, cultivating the pure magic in it and head back home to cleanse the FirstWorld off the chaos magic while at the same time battling against the dark Witch's army.
But the war has been fought for generations and the witches have been losing constantly. (Sometimes I'll be using the word witches to generalize both male and female)
The Dark Witch's army does not just consist of the dark witches and warlocks, but also a group of wolfy shape-shifters that gets strong with the full moon and feeds on the human flesh, and another group of inhuman beings with red glowing eyes and fangs, and their strength come from a humanoid blood.
Many witches and warlocks have lost their lives to this war and sending their young ones to the hidden orphanages in this new world, including Ashley and Andy.
But even then, with the witch's pride, it was wrong for Ashley to make such arguments unless she was confident enough that Andy would never defeat her, or maybe she just wanted to taunt her ancestors.
On the other side, Andy had always been known as short tempered young warlock that does not need much effort to provoke.
But certainly, he doesn't have the strength nor magic to back his anger.
Andy wake up 9 years ago and found himself in this hidden orphanage with no memories of who he truly was.
He couldn't remember his childhood life nor parents, and being a male, he did not hold a right of asking questions around.
He knew the only way of tracking his childhood life would be to get stronger as the only thing that witches seem to value are muscles radiating on the warlock' s body and how good they are in bed.
But Andy lacked any of these. No. Not like that!
No witch would ever think of bedding a weakling like him as they wish not to breed a weak infant, and that's where comes Andy's problems.
For nine years, Andy had been trying to connect with any of the six primal sources but with no fruits.
Primal sources are the origin of magic and without linking with any of them, no witch or warlock could ever cast any spell
(I'm going to explain what are the primal sources and their responsibilities in the next chapter, please hold on a bit.)
And it's not like Andy doesn't have mana in him. He does.
Infact, for the past nine years, he had been working so hard to raise the amount of mana in his body and he had finally manage to obtain 10 units of mana, the weakest of all time as with enough concentration and cultivation, this unite of mana can be obtained just within an hour, and one can even obtain more than 10 unites of mana just by dual cultivating.
He is even more worse when it comes to physical strength, more like he was cursed by the gods to never raise in strength no matter what.
"Deal!" Andy muttered while standing, brushing off the dust in his clothes and headed to the training ground.
After all, in the next twenty four hours, an enrollment that happens after every three years would take place where witches and warlocks of sixteen to eighteen years would be forced to join the magic academies, and Andy wanted just to be a little better.
However, as he took the next step, a cold breeze suddenly brushed against his skin as Andy found himself at a complete different location.
This wasn't the training ground he was hoping to head to. They were no teenagers swinging their swords and daggers while stretching their muscles, nor training dolls and punching bags could be seen anyway around.
Instead, Andy found himself deep in the frosty forest with snow and ice painting the entire ground and tree leaves white.
"What happened!?" Andy gulped heavily with his instincts screaming nothing but danger. "Did she just use a teleportation spell on me?" He thought, but another thought suddenly crossed his mind that canceled the first one. "No! She's a fire witch! And this level of magic, it must be someone of higher class, someone out of the orphanage."
Instinctively, his hand reached over to his neck and he found himself petting a certain pendant with a dark black extended diamond shaped crystal, housed in a wire prison of the same shape.
It was more like how a child could run to their parents for protection when they are frightened, that's what was happening here as this pendant was the only thing Andy found himself with when he wake up nine years ago, and a feeling deep within made him assume the pendant belonged to his parents.
Taking a second stroke of petting around the pendant, Andy suddenly felt a sharp pain from his back as a furry large claw hand had pierced through his body from the back. This was accompanied by a warm breath over his neck as something large was breathing on him while dripping sticky saliva on him.
He fought through the pain and turn his neck only to see a large humanoid creatures with extended mouth and sunken blue glowing eyes, within fur covering its entire body and with matt's features.
'A werewolf!' Andy gulped heavily with pain vibrating through his body.
"Snow sends his regards!" The wolfy creature retracted its claw and forcing Andy to crash on the floor while gritting his teeth in pain.
His internals were badly destroyed and unless he finds a really strong healer, he was doomed to count last breath.
But where exactly could he find a healer while in the middle of nowhere?
And knowing this, the wolfy creature started walking away while returning back to its human form as if knowing its work here was done.
Andy's vision had already gone blurry but he could still see a blurry naked figure of a female, human of course, but he only managed to see the back of her as she was walking away.
Overwhelmed by pain, Andy's eyelids started to pull shut with his breathings ending as his heartbeats were slowing down.
A minute later and everything had stopped as Andy lay on the snow ground with his body no longer registering any heartbeat. But, a faint purple light started to radiate from the crystal on his pendant. No
