As the black and green hands ripped the atmospheric blobs like a mother's womb, the air filled with screams, like a mother crying out that we are all going to die.
Such loud screaming disrupted daily life on every part of Planet Spectrum. Black scarred, torn blobs, like blooming flowers, started appearing in the sky, casting a shadow upon the planet. It seemed like two dimensions were mixing with each other through these torn blobs. The 12th hour cast the spell of night on the planet.
In a sheer moment, creatures started raining on the surface, ripping things apart. The land filled with numerous types of hellish creatures, filling the hearts of people with terror. People and children screamed beneath them as the creatures swung and tortured them, draining and soaking the last drops of blood and mana from their bodies.
It seemed like gods had opened the door of hell and forgotten to send Lucifer to guide his men.
(Major running on the street with a briefcase)
"No, no, please, please let me live!"
He cast spatial magic to get out of the situation. But now, low-level magic had no effect in this scenario. With the high concentration of magical and hellish aura, it seemed to have nullified the weaker ones to the extent that they couldn't even cast a simple spell to protect themselves.
The man screamed but was torn into two pieces by a creature's bare hands while being held 20 feet in the sky. His stomach and intestines, glossy and filled with blood, fell on Legzer.
"Holy sh#t! Now I have to clean this up. I have to teach you manners, flying puppy, that you shouldn't throw your toy when done playing with it."
"Hey, flying puppy!"
"My name is Edgar."
"Oh, you are not just a flying pet but a talking monkey also."
Edgar wrapped himself with his thorny wings, like a missile targeting Legzer from 20 feet upwards, with such speed that the impact resulted in a sonic sound.
Boom.
The explosion diverted everyone's attention. The time appeared slower.
Legzer lay on the floor, his blue and white-colored suit on the broken tiled surface.
"Hey, hey, Edgar, you shouldn't go hard. We have to torture them, not kill them," a distant voice came from the air.
Edgar turned his vision around, seeing Legzer wasn't in his place.
"Now, now, you want me to play cat and mouse? It doesn't matter how much you want to play; in the end, you will lose. You filthy intelligent people will now face the wrath of God," Edgar screamed.
"And it's just the beginning."
"You can't see, wannabe hellish creature. We've been playing this game from the moment your act disgusted my armor. Now it's the interval. You're going to play a dead mouse now. Even if you're dead, I will make sure you stay that way until the audience is satisfied."
"Let's plaaayyy!"
A mad Legzer screamed, commanding his armored suit and the magic pendant tied to his arm.
"Fire throttle 50%. Fire mana activated, fusing with the armored suit."
Igniting the armored heavy legs, he smirked. "I am not allowed to throttle more than 20%, but I am going to exceed that now. Congratulations, you're my test subject. It will evaporate the moisture, and the air will be denser, but it will be worth it, filling it with your tears."
(Running sounds on tiles breaking them)
Thump thump thump thump.
"Wow, baby! It's like I'm drilling or something."
Edgar attacked him, flying and trying to tear him with his arm.
"It's amazing you keep up with my speed," Edgar spoke with joy.
Legzer held his arm with such strength, breaking it as if it were a piece of wood.
"Don't you dare think I am handicapped."
Legzer jumped, holding the creature's arm. "Throttle 70%."
Dhup!
Breaking through Edgar's chest, melting through his body.
Edgar screamed.
Legzer landed, showing his acrobatic skills. "This isn't my finishing move. I told you before, I am going to entertain the audience. Furious Pendulum!"
The environment suddenly changed into an old fighting coliseum filled with tiny little creatures. The pendulum started moving.
Tuck tuck tuck tuck tuck tuck.
"Now shall we begin?" Edgar revived.
"From that filthy scene to my robotic landing, it's all captured, and you, my friend Edgar, are playing a major role. You have to act again and again until the pendulum stops moving."
Edgar seemed to be out of his own control, acting and moving without his consent.
"I'm going now. My backup will act along with you. And one more thing: the audience is a little childish, so don't mind if they keep the pendulum moving. Bye! Hope you will entertain them."
Legzer disappeared, showing his insane acrobatic scene. "Isn't I an a good actor and director? But the movies I make are too short. I should work on that part."
Meanwhile, in the hospital:
Ivan was filled with deep thoughts while the injured doctor tried to heal his leg with mana but was surprised to find he didn't have any mana left. The enemy had absorbed all the mana in the room except Ivan's, because it was too much and hidden, not emitting any aura, of which even Ivan was unaware.
"You are amusing, little man," the creature said.
"Either you have no mana, or you are holding a much bigger surprise for me."
(Guards came from the staircase)
"Mr., stay right there. Nobody will move. Everyone calm down; we will handle the situation."
"Handling the situation inside with your handbag toys and childish mana?"
"Please, come at me all at once. I want to see the situation handle itself."
Guns powered with mana fired.
"How sweet of you. You have even arranged lightnings for me."
"Everyone hold back. Our weapons have no effect on him!"
"I will approach him from the front; others, guard the ground floors!" the head captain screamed.
"I have to finish you now on this floor. Otherwise, I won't die—I'll just lose my job. And I can't find a much easier job than this because I am incapable of holding myself back."
The head police officer unveiled two daggers tied to his back. With his both hands, the length of the daggers enlarged because of mana, becoming full-length blades of a shiny sea-green color.
"I don't often use these—not because they're dangerous, but because they're too beautiful to cut something with. Anyway..."
"Boy, I need you to get out of here. Nature's going wild now."
Ivan sat down beside the broken ceiling and pressed his finger against it. Trouble vanished into the air, leaving only dust particles, without any sound, as if it were done in a vacuum.
"Boy, you are interesting. I will deal with you later," the creature said while wiping blood from his face.
Ivan left, taking his mother in his arms and jumping out of the broken 10th-floor window
