Chapter 1 - Chapter 01: An Angelic Demon

I heard the quiet ticking of the clock as I opened my heavily lid eyes. The first thing I saw was a white ceiling designed in intricate lines and a small chandelier placed between it.

I spent almost an hour or so blankly staring at the ceiling above when I heard a click echoed through the space, it must've come from a wooden door, I suppose.

"Are you awake?" My eyes never left the ceiling above me. It was quite far however, I could tell that the person is approaching. The voice was deep yet soft to hear almost like a melody ringing in my ears as he spoke.

"It seems you are awake already." The person spoke as he neared.

I could feel the bed sank in one side, perhaps he sat down as he leaned over and finally entered my line of sight.

"Zoan, how are you feeling?" His tone was soft, almost as if talking to a child as he spoke. His brownish gold colored hair softly fell from atop his head, looking soft as cotton and smooth as silk as he looked at me with those captivating ocean eyes as if urging me to swim across in them.

"Zoan?" I snapped back out of my thoughts as he called out again. Wait, did he just call me Zoan? Is that my name? Was he calling for me?

"Pfft- it seems that you're still not fully awake yet. Never was the morning person, were we?" His soft chuckle reflected under the morning sun was so blinding, as if looking at an angel that has descended. Is he even human? How is it that the first person I see as I wake up is an angel? Am I dreaming?

"Ah!"

Before I could react more, I felt the blanket wrapped around my body swiftly been swept away as the angelic guy vanish from my sight. I could feel the cold breeze of morning wind brush on my skin jolting me awake.

"?!" I was baffled. What happened? Why did the blanket suddenly vanish?

I was forced to seat on my own, yawning as I rubbed my eyes to see the thief of my blanket when I saw the angelic boy with a blanket in one arm silently holding his laughter.

I glared at him, why is he laughing? Is he laughing at me? How dare he? No matter how good-looking one might be there's a limit to things you know!

"Oh, were you offended? I can't help it. If I didn't take your blanket, you would have no plans of waking up, would you?" He calmly spoke, a soft smile on his face that high lightened his almost a sin angelic face.

"Still, it's a good thing that you woke up just from your blanket being removed, I had a bucket of cold water ready in case you didn't wake up you see." He said casually pointing at the bucket of water placed just beside him.

Okay, I misspoke earlier. This guy is anything but angelic, he's a demon okay. A beautiful demon. Tch.

"My, you're being fierce first thing in the morning. Be careful, you might earn a lot of wrinkles from being to mad and even rise your blood pressure." He softly coaxed, his words really feels like they'd boil my blood. Grr, how annoying.

I retract my glare at him, otherwise I don't know, and I might just throw anything at him to wipe that annoying grin off his face. I looked around the room I'm in first. It looks spacious. The bed I'm in was placed at the middle of the room colored in peach, cream and blue. The teal walls have intricated floral carvings on them and the window has ivory draped curtains with delicate floral patterns, one small bench attached to it with a few soft pillows perfect for reading and a large cream and teal carpet on the floor. It looks like some high noble daughter's bedroom.

"My lady I think it's time for you to get up and get ready, the school will start about an hour from now you see." I blinked at his words, school? I go to school? but wait, why am I going to school...?

Before I could react any further, multiple girls dressed in maid outfits entered the room shocking me and making me shrink back without thinking.

"Now, now, my lady please do not be afraid, although it's your first time being out of the estate after so long you shouldn't try to escape your responsibilities as the heir of Cassione Family." The ange- demon guy slowly approached with a soft smile that gave me nothing but ominous premonitions.

I instinctively moved back even closer to the bed's headboard just to avoid him and attempted to run away, but as soon as I stepped out of the bed I was caught by a pair of strong arms and carried in a princess style manner. And what's even more shocking is the fact that I was carried so easily by this weak looking guy as if I were as light as a feather.

"Y-you...!" I pointed at him with widened eyes.

"My, my, you're truly a troublesome lady."

This angel...! No, this demon! How dare you kidnap me?! Where does he think he's taking me?!

...

Okay, I overreacted over there. As soon as I told him to put me down, he did as he was told and quietly left the room and leave me to the maids to get ready.

Okay, so what the hell was that?
