Chapter 27 - Restraint (18+)

Darren's POV

After a bit, I stopped her and gestured for her to lie down on the bed.

Kneeling at one edge of the bed, I pulled her legs close to me and spread them apart, with my head between them. I took in a whiff of her scent as I could see her pussy lips glistening with juice. I planted kisses on her inner thighs till I reached her pussy.

Her legs were already shuddering in anticipation of what was going to happen. With no regard for procedure, I dipped my tongue into her pussy and flicked her clit with a finger.

Small vibrations and mini-orgasms quaked her body as I continued to eat her out. Her scent was so inviting and intoxicating that I had no way to stop myself from eating her out with much-crazed lust. I pushed my tongue into her while a finger rubbed on her clit.

I took her patiently because she wouldn't be able to handle the intensity a vampire was capable of. I ate her pussy diligently like it was a serving of my favourite flavoured ice cream. In moments, her legs began to shake uncontrollably as it ushered in the arrival of a massive orgasm.

I increased my pace a little bit, and this time, she brought her hand down and pressed the back of my head till it was buried comfortably in between her legs.

I added a finger to my tongue that already explored her pussy. This just pushed her over the edge, and she squirted on my face, on my finger and onto the sheets. By the time her orgasmic episode was over, she had passed out and was soundly asleep.

I shook my head and laughed a little; the night didn't turn out as fully expected. I eased Diamond properly into bed and joined in at her side. I closed my eyes and fell asleep, with the thoughts of the night running over and over in my mind.

I woke up to a sunny Saturday morning, and Diamond still lay by my side, unlike the previous night. She looked peaceful, like a little fairy nestled in a bed of flowers.

Under the covers, she lay naked, but I wasn't going to peak. I felt it was a good thing that last night didn't go any further. We were both consumed by lust, and that was no way to bond with Diamond.

If anything, she was like a younger sister. I cared for her that much, and I didn't want to harm her in any way.

Slowly, I got off the bed before putting my clothes back on. I left the room after taking one last look at Diamond before walking to my study.

"Morning. I'm guessing last night was exciting."

Kristin greeted me with a cunning smile that made me grin. It was a bit saddening that she didn't want to tag along for my trip. It would have been exciting every step of the way.

"Unfortunately, no. For the first time I can remember, in ages, I didn't go all the way. Although falling asleep after the orgasm was a good deterrent, I could have stirred her awake for more. But this is good. Some things shouldn't change."

"You say that now, but after last night, everything will change. You know how much she's always loved you; it's not something you can keep denying. And even wiping her memory proved futile."

I walked into my study, taking a sip of the coffee that Kristin gently placed on the table.

She was right; things would never be the same. I still couldn't figure out how she was able to recover her memories, so wiping them again wasn't a guarantee that she would forget.

"But what do I do? You're well aware that she cannot be my mate. She's human. I want her to live a human life. Have a family, fall sick, grow old and die. All human things. She can't have them if she's with me."

Kristin stood in silence, but I could see the struggle in her eyes as she frantically searched for an answer. I couldn't think at the moment, knowing I would still need to return to my bedroom.

With a breath of frustration, I did the most humane thing and also the most stupid.

"Call Adriana. We'll be leaving for London in a few hours. Tell her to get all the documents ready and meet me at the airport in two hours."

"Is that really the best option right now? To run away from your problems? Especially this one? You'll break her heart."

I had already walked to the door, but Kristin's words stopped me. I knew this wasn't right, ht but I'd rather battle the vampire families than handle the feelings that lingered between Diamond and me.

"Her heart deserves better, Kristin."

I whizzed up the stairs to my room, silently throwing my clothes into a box before walking out again. Diamond barely stirred, and my heart felt heavy, leaving her like this.

I rushed to the office to make sure that Adriana had gotten all that we needed. I couldn't afford any mishaps or lost time. London was foreign territory, and having my business there didn't make it feel any better.

A few minutes later, I was seated in the company car, texting Adriana to make sure she was at the airport. I got there in record time, the driver stunned after I had screamed at him a few times to hurry up.

He parked, taking my bag from the boot as we walked into the airport. I met Adriana at the airline desk, only to receive news that all London flights for the day had already taken off.

I regretted not getting a private jet all those years ago. Maybe it was time to get something better: an airline. That way, I'd fly at my convenience while making money.

We left the office with slight annoyance on my face that Adriana pleaded to relieve.

With Adriana, there was no need for restraint. She knew what she signed up for from the start and was even glad to be with me. Instead of driving her home, we booked a hotel, watching the driver leave through the window of our room.

Minutes later, Adriana's moans and screams threatened to burst through the walls as I drained my body of every ounce of stress and anger.
