Chapter 2 - Training

In the green meadows near the village, a boy is seen running slowly. He is taking deep breaths while a man is also running and cheering him. He is none other than Damian. Arthur is doing his morning warm up thatbis running around the village. As Arthur finished doing the warm up he lay on the ground panting heavily.

He is taking deep breaths while Damian said," come on, this isn't your limit. Get up and start running ", Arthur looked at him as if he is a scary monster. He is been running for 30 minutes without stop and his father is also running beside him. But he didn't even sweat a little.

Arthur looked at his father with some awe and also some fear because his training is increasing day by day. Even his mother began to be strict on him during training. If he failed to do the magic then he needs to practice it until he can do it and he needs to the practice continuously.

If he learned it quickly then more complex magic will be given to learn. Everyday he is so exhausted sometimes he can't even walk or eat food. His mother dotingly feed him which is the only part of day he can enjoy. Even in the village some parents are bewildered by this harsh training.

Even now his father gave him a wooden sword and told him to attack. Arthur got up and gripped his sword. He took a deep breath and charged at his father who blocked his every blow and then, *bam**whack* the usual. His forehead has a bump and his back is throbbing with pain.

Arthur almost cried from it but held back. He looked at his father with a hateful glare and charged at him. But again the same thing happened. Arthur charged again and again at his father but each time it's the same. Arthur looked at his father with tears and threw the wooden sword aside.

He looked at his and cried," I hate you ", he then ran away from there without looking back. Damian looked at Arthur with a confused look. He just lightly tapped his son with sword a few times and he ran away crying. Did he put too much strength on the tap? But he didn't see any injury right? He only saw a couple of bumps.

Arthur ran away from the house and ran to the mountain on the back of the village. He didn't come back for lunch. He just sat behind a rock crying not understanding why his parents hate him so much? His father will beat him in the name of training and his mother scold him if he can't do the magic she displayed.

They're super loving and gentle before he is 3. So why are they both hate him now? While he is crying a gentle voice called him from behind," hey, are you okay? ", Arthur looked back and saw a girl his age collecting flowers. She looked at his face and said," you're hurt. Let me help you ".

She grabbed a bandage from her small bag she is carrying and applied some medicine on it. She tied the bandage around his head and hand. She then said," you're Arthur right? Aunt Carolina is anxious about where you are let's go?".

Arthur followed the girl in a daze. Her hand is gentle and her face looks kind. How many days it's been since he saw a face like that? Before his training started his mother used to smile like this everytime she saw him. His mother's image before the training and this girl's image overlapped each other.

She took Arthur with her. Midway his stomach grumbled while she giggled," you're hungry huh ", Arthur shook his head first denying it but his stomach grumbled in hunger again making him blush. He clenched the edges of his shirt in shame.

The girl laughed and took him to her house. Opening the door she called," mom, I brought Arthur with me. He is hungry ", Arthur saw a woman who is very similar to the girl. The red hair and the blue orbs along with a face almost similar to the girl.

The woman looked at them with a smile and knelt down. She caressed the girl's hair along with Arthur's and then asked," you're Carolina's son aren't you? Your face and hair is similar to her while you have your father's eyes. Wait a few minutes okay. I'll prepare something for you to eat ".

Arthur sit on the sofa while the girl asked," why are you at the mountain? And how did you get injured?", Arthur bit his lip and said," I slipped and fell on the mountain while playing ", but then the woman flicked his forehead, she then said," it's bad for kids to lie ".
